  1. Here are a few answers to your questions about activation: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=568704&postcount=3 And regarding your question about licensing: when buying proprietary software you always buy a license to use the software, never the software itself. Just check some EULAs of other software/games you have bought, they will have a similar wording. EDIT: Sorry, wrong link
  2. Emergency procedures are a part of the extended manual that will be available in print only.
  3. There will be no patch that allows you to change the language of the Russian version. However, English, French, Spanish and German versions of BS are currently in the making, but these will be separate from the Russian version.
  4. Hey BoneDust, I just installed BS on Vista and guess what, I get the same problem as you. However I remembered that I also had exactly the same issue with BoB2 in the past, and the workaround was to map the hotkeys to joystick buttons. I tried this in BS and it worked. It seems that the problem is not directly related to BS, I guess it is some kind of interference of the TIR and Saitek drivers. If this fix works for you as well, could you please tell us which Joystick you are using? The tooltip language can be changed from the options menu.

  6. Right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  7. Happy Birthday diveplane!!
  8. It has not been released.
  9. I don't know if this helps, but you can also try this: a) Check that none of the folders are write protected for any reason b) Vista uses file virtualization for the Program Files directory tree, i.e. programs installed there are not allowed to write into their own folders, but the files will be redirected and stored elsewhere. Some programs have a problem with this technique. I'm not 100% sure but this may even happen if you run the program as admin. So if you installed BS into the Program Files directory, try to grant your admin and standard user full access to the Eagle Dynamics folder and all it's subfolders and files. You can do that by right clicking on the folder, select properties and the security tab.
  10. Hey Jason, welcome to the forums. How come that you used up all your activations within one week? That is a highly unlikely scenario, unless something goes very wrong. Normally you would install and activate the game, and only if you do a major hardware upgrade/change the OS it would be necessary to use a deactivation or an activation.
  11. One thing that might help a bit is to defrag the harddisk BS is stored on.
  12. No, in the Russian version, you can't.
  13. Can you please check if the crash generates any error logfiles? How to do that is explained in the sticky: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34016 Also attach a screenshot of the VB runtime error, or copy its message.
  14. Can you please check if the crash generates any error logfiles? How to do that is explained in the sticky: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34016

  16. You are on Vista, right? Did you allow the Sim to run with admin rights? (I don't just mean in your admin account, which will still run programs with user rights unless you explicitly grant them admin rights)
  17. Did you click the link #2 in Tez' post?
  18. Did you guys have the throttle levers in the auto position (2 clicks up from idle)? If they are set below, the generators may not produce enough electricity and the heli starts to use batteries, which in turn might not be enough to power all your systems.
  19. Check this post, maybe that helps. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=584058&postcount=14
  20. See manual p. 7-6ff and http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=579108&postcount=40
  21. Sorry I'm at a loss then, you will have to wait for the support people to contact you.
  22. You have to update your TIR drivers to the newest version and also download the latest game update. The English manuals can be downloaded from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=2199&scr=products&lang=en The forums registration is not valid for the main site, so you will have to register there again in order to download the manuals.
  23. Air pressure can be entered with the QFE knob on the barometric altimeter, see manual p 2-20. Wind direction and speed are entered into the PNK navigation computer by default, the data are taken from the mission editor. However you can change them by turning the PVI mode selector to ВВОД (EDIT), press the δ/V (Wind direction/speed) button on the PVI (bottom row in the middle) and then enter the data, the first row indicates wind direction (wind from) and the second wind speed in m/s. See manual p. 2-62 and 2-64. Since the ABRIS is separated from the PNK, you can also enter wind data into the former, which is done via the MENU/PLAN/METEO Sub-mode, see manual p. 3-62f.
  24. The hardware code will be shown when automatic activation fails and/or you follow the procedure for manual activation, as described in the link I posted above. I.e. when you enter your serial and click on activate (in Russian) and a new window appears with three instead of two buttons (see figure 5 vs. figure 3), click on the middle button which should correspond to "Manually". After that you should see a field with a code that is not your serial, this would be your hardware code. You need both the hardware code and your serial in order to get an activation key from the ProActive website. As far as I understand it from your report the 0/3 activations does not mean that you have 0 left out of 3, but that so far you have used 0 out of 3, so everything should be okay.
