Ich vermute auch, dass das Problem das installierte Sprachpaket ist, in einer dt. Vista Version ist die dt. Speech Recognition Engine dabei, VAC benötigt aber die engl. Version. Soweit ich weiß, kannst Du die von Microsoft aber nur nachinstallieren, wenn Du eine Vista Ultimate (oder Business/Enterprise?) Version hast. :mad: Hab selbst das Problem mal gehabt, als ich die Demo von VoxATC für MSFS ausprobieren wollte, das auch die englische Speech Engine benötigt. Angeblich kann man mit dem Tool hier Sprachpakete auch auf anderen Vista Versionen installieren: http://www.froggie.sk/index.html

Good point Jim, and it's not only true for Manpads. Recently I have been reading a few books on Vietnam chopper warfare, where the VC/NVA would often fire blindly through the foliage if they couldn't see but only hear the helicopters. Sure the accuracy was a lot lower but it still posed a real threat to the pilots.

If you "know a little about code" this should be sufficient, all you need is the Lua reference manual which can be found here: http://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/ What you want to achieve can be done with a few lines of code. Besides that the FAQ state that the logbook will be fixed sooner or later so that it can also track MP stats, however I don't know when that is going to happen.

Regarding your question: a) The cockpit reference chapter of the manual has a whole section about the PVI, see page 2-58 b) there is a key command reference chart included in the game, where one headline reads "NAV panel controls PVI" and the first entry is "PVI change master mode" BTW, a good way to find information in the manuals is to use the search function of your PDF reader. The reason why the manual and tutorials may be somewhat inconsistent regarding the startup procedure is simply that in some cases it does not matter when you switch on a certain device or configure it.
