  1. Yes, please. More strategic target/Air interdiction/strike focus in DCS! :D Missions, proper integration of strategic targets on the maps, and general support of the idea is welcome! ^^ Not everyone wants to do CAS or CAP. ;) //jarl
  2. Heya, saw this paint job of a USMC KC-130 https://www.facebook.com/102433503174069/photos/a.110296849054401/2007122509371816/?type=3&theater (Bio's photos are great! :D ) Maybe some inspiration, and some cross-3rd party developer cooperation? ;D //Jarl
  3. I'd like a feature for a player in a helicopter to be able to place a smoke marker on the ground on their current coordinates. Best would be to have it as a mappable key for helicopter modules, but even a "coms-menu" option would work. It would be used to simulate the crew throwing out a smoke grenade from the heli to mark targets or LZs. //Jarl
  4. @ 3. There is a Delete shortcut. It's the "Delete" key.
  5. There's plenty of ground clutter on the Persia map.
  6. How'd they do it? Paveways?
  7. Hello! ED, I'd like to propose a thing that I think will save you time and money! Only make Hotfixes for Release Version - Don't make them for Open Beta Version. If something is broken in the OB version? Patch it the next, normal, beta patch. (and don't push that OB version to Release!, ofc). That way OB is still a Beta, and when you push to Release, it will be more polished. And you'll save yourself some "last minute fix-work" that is disruptive for good production flow. //Jarl
  8. Hi. I tried marking a target with the "marker"-light in the TPOD for an F/A-18 pilot. He didn't see it, so I wonder what the deal about this is? Should they not see it, or should they? Did it bug out, or did the 18-pilot just not look in the right direction? :P Anyone have any experience with this? Just wondering, as it's a cool feature when doing AFAC. (if it would work :P ) //Jarl
  9. How about we wait for the real release of the HARM? :P For all that we know, the current one is a placeholder. It can't be used anyway.
  10. If one could make some aircraft invisible to the players, but visible to the enemy AAA, and then make the AAA only shoot at those targets, as they circle above - that would produce a similar effect. ...although this is a shit solution xD Better, IMO, to fix/improve the AI. :P
  11. Used up into the 70's and 80's. So not so "old" as you'd think.
  12. Check this.
  13. Yeah, but the F-14 is not a side-by-side cockpit, so it won't help ED anyway
  14. I would actually go and ask for some better, more realistic AAA behaviour. No radar guidance? Barrage/point fire should be the default. (There's multiple threads in this subforum asking for it :P ) I guess triggered, or setting options would be OK though I'd prefer they made the AI better. (more realistic, not more accurate ;) )
  15. The title wasn't a question. ;)
  16. To this to work for ED as it does for Bohemia Interactive, DCS needs similar amounts of costumers. It doesn't, so until then... Not possible - no economics in it. Also, ED gets most of it's revenue by selling modules - Helping the community to make free, competing, modules will directly undermine EDs income. It would have been different if the base-game would not have been free.
  17. I won't have time laughing at your weak faith if they release it this year ^^
  18. I have the F-14A '81 Change '82, and the F-14B 2001 manuals. Nothing (useful) about TCS in those -.- (What a jungle of manuals -.-' )
  19. First, do a clean up and repair: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/
  20. There is. They just don't always work in MP - as there's ping and lag issues.
  21. How do the metrics/definitions for readiness rate compare between the US and GAF? Do they use the same, or are they different?
  22. So you just stated another reason for why they should _not_ throw away money on updating anything on Caucasus - People buy their other map-modules anyway ;) Putting in more money in updating anything on Caucasus (other than bug-fixes) gives very bad ROI for ED. They did the 2.5 update, and that's about how much they can get out of it, IMO. //Jarl
  23. Yes. It will happen when: 1. There's enough interest for it. More interest => more fidelity, as well. 2. When there's a developer that have everything they need to make it happen (including the ambition), and when they see that point 1 is true. //Jarl
  24. AFAIK it's not possible to just "integrate" modules from other platforms. Basically everything is done differently. It would have to be redone. Even the 3D model, as stated above, is sub-standard to current DCS levels. //Jarl P.S. Would love a B/N F-4 though ^^
