  3. Hmm, so the only difference between the DCS one and the older 1990 Harrier, is the actual screen itself? From a DCS perspective I'd say that's a minor upgrade that does not have any impact on it's operational effectiveness. If so, it is in essence still a 1990 aircraft. (I don't know what to do with the "AFC-456" info, unfortunately :P ) Thanks for your feedback though ^^ //Jarl.
  4. Like others say, the settings are available. As for the truly extreme varieties of weather, like hurricanes or tsunamis (not even weather) I'd say they are not needed in a Combat Simulator. If you wouldn't fly in them IRL, you're not going to fly combat in them...
  5. This is a problem on 2D screens as well. (I have to zoom in to render them at longer ranges). I voted "yes!" as in: Add another level of rendering of them so they are visible at long ranges. Like switch it out with some sprites or similar? Should be FPS-friendly, and add a lot to immersion and tactical game-play. //Jarl

  7. AFAIK, they are the same, only that the F is "navy compliant" NAVY version, as in it is certified to be stored and used on ships. G is the USAF version, but with the same, heavier penetrator warhead as the F. Apparently the G was produced in greater numbers.
  8. A fix would be welcome! At least a hotfix: "weapon won't track if the target painted is further away than 8.5nm" could be prudent. :) I can appreciate the difficulty of simulating the range of the laser beam though, under changing conditions.
  9. Better hope that some nifty Italians get together and start working on it then :P That's how DC got the Viggen - Some motivated Swedes (and some others :P ) got together and made it happen.

  11. Did some more tests. Tested cooling them in different modes. Seems that the cooling process will start as soon as one switches to A/G mode, yes. Generally it takes 3 minutes. Though I've seen it totally restart the cooling-timer if I switch to Sidearms during the process. I find that a bit weird, but if it's a simplification of IRL complexity, then ok I guess. :huh: I could not recreate the "never cooling IRMAV" in those tests though. Edit: It was probably me switching to Sidewinders (exits A/G mode) and/or Sidearms (probably also thwarts the cooling procedure). //Jarl
  12. No promises where made. I've seen this too many times - buyers of modules in EA that read to much into statements from developers just because they want to believe. :(

  14. It's a good looking aircraft, though it's not as easy as requesting modules, unfortunately. :( But you can only hope some passionate 3rd-party-dev has the knowledge and documents to make it at some point ^^

  16. Hi. I've been having issues with IRMVs not reaching RDY status. If I select them in the stores page, and wait for the cool-down, but have to (or accidentally) switch to the gun, the IRMV stays in STBY, even if I select IRMV again. I found this in the "known issues" thread above: "IR/EO Mavericks return to STBY/COOL DOWN mode after selecting another weapon. - Fixed. 2017-11-30" Seems to be related? //Jarl

  25. My guess is that the exact model they replicated (Guessing the Australian UH-1H Gunship / Bushranger) didn't have the RWR installed, and they are limiting themselves because of this. Example: Probably the same reason, bar DCS game engine limitations, they aren't adding the M23 mount I reference above. :( We'll probably have to wait until someone else have the guts to make another UH-1 model module :((
