  5. tested fa-18 aim-7f/m/mh vs f-14 aim-7m simultaneous launches @ 23000' 300kias tailshots from 5 miles, performance is the same. i havent seen any testing from people saying that the hb aim-7 is better. in fact we saw the ed aim-7m (not mh) actually accelerate better and achieve higher peak velocity than the hb aim-7m

  9. iirc there are acq commands for jester found in the pilot keybinds, make sure you didnt bind to those instead of the actual pilot acq controls proper. check the category column to verify.

  11. i think the unpleasantness is accounted more by the fact that the jhmcs axes seem horizon oriented instead of aircraft oriented. this then couples with the vertical axis acceleration of the 9x reticule to create some distinctly unnatural feeling movements when trying to slew the sight around outside of the straight and level flight. i imagine this may actually be true to life where pilots tend to tilt their head to the horizon but the home environment is distinctly different.

  18. lol good lord it's no wonder the tanker isn't clearing you for contact when you keep rising and falling 200ft most important factor for getting contact permission is making sure all your velocity deltas are low in other words that you need to already be holding a relatively steady formation with the tanker trim it out and use your keyboard for menu navigation

  21. im not even a particularly demanding ears guy but the sounds are definitely the low point of the module for me external engine noise is thin and distant. it's like a hairdryer compared to the hornet. m61 sound is full wtf, did it get replaced with a revolver cannon? also the firing sounds dont seem to attenuate properly with speed either. fine, it's wip. i dunno about the heater launch noise, seems hollywood fake. maybe an sme can comment on what it sounds like from inside the cockpit. i set hear like in helmet for a reason but all i get are these trashy hollywood sfx piped straight in like im standing stark naked outside the loudness of some of these pseudohaptic feedback noises like the switches is enough to actually be counterproductive and immersion breaking instead of the fake afterburner roar we should have a throttle lift emulator switch because slamming into mil is an important thing to be able to do, the latter is an issue noted even by one of your sme's more simulations, less artistic liberties please
  22. you're ascending too high if you're getting hit by wake turbulence theres no turbulence if you're tucked in under the wing where the drogue naturally settles anticipate the natural ascent every time power is added with your pitch inputs
