there is widely spread incorrect drawings of the 190 both a and d models

tf-30 with its issues is more difficult to model than the reliable f-110 computers dont work like real life unlike the real world, physics have to be coded in and the more primitive something is the harder it is to code for this is also why cloth and wire ww1 aircraft are actually more complicated to model correctly than jets, and why analogue is harder to model than digital you need to realize that complex physical interactions with the environment also constitute systems just as much as electronic boxes "simple" systems irl are only simple because they offload more of their mechanisms into the existing environment

sounds you need to learn how to check oscillations then before you even get into trimming every input can enter an oscillation, from speed oscillations (probably the biggest secret killer because this will be 9/10 what prompts pitch pio) to roll oscillations to the familiar pitch oscillation, and the biggest trouble i see people run into for gassing is they let themselves get into multiple oscillations and they have no way to damp out any of them trim is for maintaining a setting after you've damped out the oscillation. you can trim as you're damping it out but if you're finding yourself porpoising you need to fix that with your own two hands. its exactly as the veterans have said, you need to make three inputs -- input for change, counterinput to arrest, and neutralizing input to arrive at the desired steady state. if its not apparent, the action of cancelling out an oscillation is a controlled oscillation in itself which should make sense to anyone who has ever learned anything about waves. learn to assemble the three actions together as a single unit and use that for any inputs you want to make. anytime you want to accelerate, decelerate, shift your nose around, you need to be making moderated inputs that have a beginning (input) and an end (counterinput and neutralization). once you actually understand how to correctly make moderated three-action inputs instead of runaway single action inputs, then you will never be taken by oscillations, or if you do, you'll be able to cancel it out immediately and at that point you can stare at the basket all you want and you'll still fly rock solid

no idea what you're talking about, trim graduation is fine and much better than in some other modules. as you're gassing up you periodically add one step of up trim as your aircraft gets heavier and requires that little extra bit of aoa to hold level maybe you're being too impatient or maybe your throttlework is at fault

you do know your favorite mig-21 also has the aru system right?
-
if youre not flying very steadily then no the tankers not going to give you permission keep practicing use bomb sweep and trim your aircraft properly there are no gimmicks to flying a steady formation, it's just proper throttle and stick management

there are many many other games available out there dedicated to casting yourself as an epic hero

been flying on the new patch all day no problems

there is no irrationality, only illiteracy

what a load of rubbish if you can hold formation at one speed there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't be able to hold formation at any other speed just learn how to handle your airplane
-
yeah dude current acceleration curves are nuts and this is just mil you should try reading the other threads before hitting post new thread though especially when threads are named obvious names like "fm issues"

Haha Why Not Just Make An Airplane Like Just Make It LOL

you can ss depress the brick on radar attack page, its not exclusive to the sa display

what do you mean there is no detent? the throttle range switch makes for an excellent software detent if anything its the f-14 that needs to get rid of its hollywood sfx and add in a software detent feature instead

Radar elevation operation in relation to expected target?
probad replied to madeiner's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
if you have an enemy you see with your eyeball you shouldnt go heads down, just go into one of the visual aacq modes and point your nose at it. if its a bvr contact you can make some estimate of its altitude (you're 9kft, you can bet on a scan of an altitude slice from 0 - 9kft would include them) at bvr ranges your radar should be able to cover a generous enough vertical area that range estimates can be off by a good bit and you'll still get them in your beam get used to thinking about your target in terms of its actual altitude instead of angular relation to you because that makes coordinating with other elements easier -
the alternating two tone sound (ambulance) is a lock alert, anything can be locking you. your rwr is for distinguishing what is responsible for the lock so you can be cued on what to look for. sometimes the apparent threat on rwr isn't actually a threat aimed at you. your rwr is not a substitute for using all your other faculties. you need to build up an sa picture in your mind from not just your rwr, but your radar, flight and awacs reports, and perhaps most importantly, your eyeballs.
