  1. No, it has nothing to do with the new cargo system. Make sure you lower the collective all the way, and if that doesn't help, try to reposition yourself on the pad a little.
  2. If you haven't already, go subscribe to Carbon's channel, and join him in beta testing my Arctic Thunder F-16 Viper campaign. He's a real life Viper crew chief, and his immense knowledge about the F-16 helped me a lot in getting all the little details right in the missions. Here's a playthrough of mission 2, it should give you an idea how much effort went into this project. My aim is to make it the most realistic USAF experience that you can get in a single player environment.
  3. It’s possible but I won’t because for me they eventually land at indian springs
  4. If you load the mission stages srparately outside of the campaign, you’ll have all the icons
  5. Yepp, Jester’s drag chute challenge is waiting for a reply. See last screenshot.
  6. Sounds a lot like you’re not completing the checklist. It’s on your kneeboard too. As I asked in the pinned thread, can you please post a screenshot of your message history menu after you think it should be complete? Then I can tell you exactly what you’re missing.
  7. I made a 1v1 instant action that comes with the Phantom module. There I didn’t add extra weight to the AI but it’s still very easy to kill the f-5. the only problem is that since the improved ai BFM was released by ED they’ve been crashing into the ground all the time The first 3 hops give you plenty of guideance on how to defeat them by maximizing your F-4s performance. AoA control, speed control, vertical maneuvers, use of rudder vs ailerons. If you master all the tricks and fly smooth and disciplined the dcs F-5 shouldn’t be a problem.
  8. No. It’s a DCS bug. ED is aware
  9. Yepp, already reported and will be fixed. You’re supposed to have Bs
  10. Thank you, and yes I’m working on something of similar detail for the USAF fliers out there
  11. I thought about that too but I also wanted at least one full mission I figured it’s easy for the player to practice, you just open a free flight mission, nothing else needed. So no added value in cutting up the fam flight. these are basic maneuvers but these are the foundation of later flights. I see some YT playthroughs where people try to pull 20+ aoa in a turn, or need to watch the instrument panel during an egg and lose sight of the bogey. So the fam flight is quite an important one.
  12. I’ve heard about this but you need to report it to ED please. I can’t fix the Huey in the mission editor
  13. You’re doing smth wrong then. Just don’t fly faster than u need to. And stay close to quartzite mt
  14. Sorry, I never ran out of fuel during the FAM flight. You alone have a fuel gauge and the throttle, and there is a safe bingo on your kneeboard cards. If you don't have the fuel, don't do the extra eggs and loops. But you should be able to. Fuel management is a must have basic skill you need to practice before you can move on.
  15. It’s also called ‘lineup checklist’ and the idea is to perform it when already lined up with the runway. You can flip the necessary switches before if you want. You should have no problem catching up to your lead. Stay in burner a little longer if needed. I can’t make the checklist more snappy - as I already explained in my video - because dcs triggers fire at plus minus 1 second so I can’t put them any closer or they’d often just overlap
  16. Got it from the SME-s but it's also in many of the original USAF/ NAVY publications I used for reference.
  17. For transit 350 is plenty enough
  18. Thanks, that's the way I played it too, running Spotify in the background It's the same playlist I made for Paradise lost too.
  19. It's the same in the F-14. Remember the stab aug check? The roll stab wants to stabilize the jet. That's all good when flying cross country. But as explained on the fam flight, at high AoA you roll with the rudder. You basically want to destabilize the jet, even kind of depart it sometimes (event 3). So you'd be constantly fighting the roll stab system if it was on.
  20. The RIO doesn't have a fuel gauge, you need to monitor it. Better skip the optional loops and eggs. There is a bingo on your kneeboard, if you respect that, you can make it back to base properly.
  21. I just use dot icons. Then it’s no problem.
  22. Haha, who knows maybe he inherited his Mustang from his father
  23. Yes known issue a fix is coming. Until then you cna shut him up using the wheel menu
  24. Good question , this should help
