  1. Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Looks like you've been busy with your USAAF career this last month Mission 10 is also one of my favorites, it's a target rich environment Since you're on a USAAF streak I can recommend Blue Nose Bastards, where you'll be leading a flight, and later the entire squadron, offering more flexibility in terms of decision making. Thanks again!
  2. even while flying a mission? Or just in the menu?
  3. I have an ASUS F15 FX507ZR with 32GB RAM and a 3070. Win 11. Usually I get OK performance, my problem is that after a while, especially if I open the F10 map, I gat crazy stutter and latency spikes which either go away after alt tabbing or they don't. Especially over the Marianas.
  4. Lights on at night = Salute in the day Again, use the control assignment 'salute' instead of the radio menu, some triggers are tied to that.
  5. Thanks, I'm using the Oculus Tray tool with similar settings - except: Encode bitrate - it gives me weird jitters if set above 200. Also, Encode resolution - is that the lower value of the Meta app setting? I set mine to 3664 because someone recommended it. Also, I have smoother gameplay with ASW on.
  6. Turn on your exterior lights instead of saluting. Or - as the briefing says - use the 'salute' control assignment which does it for ya.
  7. Nope this didn't help. I'm still struggling with this very much. I really hope ED can figure out a solution finally.
  8. SACRILEGE!!! Just kidding... or am I? Thank you so much for stopping by and writing down your impressions. I'm happy you had fun going through it. You know how I like to seek the utmost realism in my campaign, but in this one I just wanted to do everything I can't do in those, so I squeezed in all the corny 80s mojo I could I just realized that even now the campaign has some cockpit switch based triggers, you probably missed those, but nothing game breaking. Did you get landing checklists when abeam? About the Bingo and BRC - in Naval ops they use a fuel ladder rather than a set Bingo (see video below), but for that we'd need cyclic ops and that can't really be simulated in DCS yet. BRC in DCS is constant, but in real life wind changes, the ship turns, you can only be sure of the BRC when you contact Marshal 50 miles out, and even after that if may change - anyhow it's part of the built in DCS ATC comms too. Again, thanks a lot for the kind words - and also for the great voice overs!
  9. No, sorry, as Baltic said in a post we still need a few months to finish it
  10. Hey thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes history is stranger than fiction - or in my experience, most of the time About the Channel C thing, yes, it may be a good idea for a future update.
  11. Whoever has this issue, make sure and pls report that Blue 3 and 4 took off and are with the flight, not just you and your lead.
  12. Please report it here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/482-game-crash/ Freezes are unique to individual players, it's not scripted in the Mission Editor, nor is anything that should cause them - and apparently it doesn't freeze for anyone else. What you can try is running a slow repair, see if that helps, and of course remove all unofficial mods.
  13. Do you have any unofficial mods installed?
  14. no it's just the fuel overflow vent, you'd be wasting a little bit more fuel that's all
  15. Just get close to the smoke and hover as low over the rocks as possible, but you gotta be stationery, so speed below 1 knots. You'll have plenty of time. The rebels never reached me during testing, I started to wonder if that trigger even works, so it's kinda good to hear it does.
  16. No idea maybe you're overboosting your engine at some point? Too much MP with too little RPM? Just a wild guess
  17. 10 degress clearing turn is a must but not more, if you deviate too much you’ll get a call. BRC always changes, it depends on the wind, so the ship will give it to you when you want to land. I don’t think you can know what the brc will be on recovery before you launch.
  18. It turns out the C17 that emits all voice overs just RTB-s even though it's told not to. I'll implement some workarounds for the next patch
  19. @Teeps many thanks for the kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed it. Bio wanted to make absolutely sure we do not disclose anything confidential, so we made sure the setups, procedures and the syllabus are as realistic as possible, but left it up to the player to come up with a solution to each problem. However, now I'm working on MIG Killers, an F-4 campaign recreating the first class of Topgun in March 1969. I found many sources about the lessons taught there, and tactics, so I'm sure you'll find it very informative. Oh, and believe it or not, back then, there was an A2G part of the syllabus too Oh, an if you haven't checked my latest video, an improvement is coming re the checklists in the campaign.
  20. Yeah I've seen that many times too. Please send the video to ED's AI programmer here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/1185-aircraft-ai-bugs-non-combined-arms/ I don't have control over core AI behavior, you tell him to refuel, he does whatever he's programmed to do. Unfortunately they can be really dumb and blind
  21. Station = Wp1 & 2. A CAP. I checked the mission, if you heard 'we're on our way' then the trigger worked. Maybe you were too low or masked by a mountain to hear the awacs call (new DCS feature ) or you accidentally switched away from its frequency.
  22. You need to use the mic button of whichever radio is tuned there: Good luck!
  23. If this refers to the salute button, then the problem is this (potential workarounds in the below thread):
  24. Maybe once or twice with the stick over 2 years, but I can't say what was at fault. Since I got my new laptop it hasn't happened. I unplugged and replugged without quitting DCS and it worked fine.
