That's not what he was trying to say. He was trying to say that blufor SEAD is a bigger need than bluefor CAP. Blue already have an effective CAP platform in the F-15... and like me, it probably baffles him as to why they didn't focus on the A/G capabilities of the C bug prior to the A/A. I don't think he was trolling you.

I ran the updater as usual, it detected the update, downloaded the nearly 10 gigs of stuff, then it fails when "removing obsolete files". I tried running a repair. It downloaded another 11 gigs and succesfully reverts to the previous build. Then I rand the updater again. The same thing happened. Flyable F-14 in October, 2018. It's going to happen. You know it in your heart. Can you imagine flying a super hornet today seeing an "F-14" pop up on your RWR? I don't care how much training you have, your butt might pucker a little... not that you wouldn't know it's out there already because of data link... but you know what I'm saying. It'd be surreal to know you're actually being illuminated, in 2018, by an F-14. :)

If DCS support DLSS, then there might be a reason to go with the 2070 if you're like me and sitting on a gtx970. But since I seriously doubt that will happen, I'll be snagging a 1080ti.

It's such an easy fix too... no idea why they haven't done this. This is the very definition of low hanging fruit for programmers.

When I was a kid, I lived near Oceana Naval Air Station, and I distinctly remember thinking to myself at the age of 12, "It's a lot smaller than I thought", when I first saw a parked, F-14 at an airshow. I grew up watching TOP GUN (I know every line), and I guess this is why they say you shouldn't meet your heros... :) She's actually smaller than an F-15 (length and wingspan (folded))

I've had a couple multiplayer kills just beyond 25 miles with the AIM-7. They were perfect conditions against a mirage not paying attention with 1200kts close speed at 25k ft altitude. I'd say that's a HUGE improvement over the previous drag modeling we've all had to endure for years. I hope they do the same for all of the r-27's.
