Perhaps i misunderstand, but that pdf clearly shows 2 mavs mounted on a single BRU-55 via 2 LAU-117's. I don't think they'd show that if you couldn't fire them.

I don't know if we're getting the BRU-55 displayed in that photo. We're definitely getting the BRU-33. That doesn't mean it's not still possible, but that article clearly shows the BRU-55 being used with 2 LAU-117's to double mount mavericks. Being able to carry 8 mavs would be so sick! But, I have no idea if the LAU-117 can be mounted on the BRU-33. Fankly, I don't have time to go through hundreds of forum posts to find out if we're getting the BRU-55. At the time i was researching, i just wanted to know if we could double mount GBU-12's on BRU-33's, which is a yes, by the way. If we're not getting the BRU-55, then I highly doubt we'll be able to mount double lau-117's and thus double stack mavericks. The BRU-33 does not have the data bus to support anything but the basic programming of munitions. This would also severely limit the JDAM capacity of the F-18, which requires the BRU-55.

LOL. You missed the point entirely, but I get that it's an EA and development takes time. I'm also allowed to feel disappointed in the rate of their development.

What have they delivered, in terms of actual combat functionality? It's been 4.5 months since EA release... and you may be happy with the progress, but I'm not.... but, hey, at least the drag on the training pod was fixed last patch.

But you do need to be able to program them in the stores pages, which requires some additional coding work on the part of ED.

The release version is just the open beta pushed to release, bugs and all... at least the last 4 patches have been. And, there's no more documentation in the release version patches than in the open beta patches, so there's no way people can know to prepare for things like key-rebinds. Your patch notes are a mess, and indicative of internal disorganization. I understand your pain, Nineline, I'm a software developer, but I also understand the need for good communication with the userbase.

Your excitement is understood. I agree and am super stoked about getting some guided weapons on the f-18. It's going to happen, and it's going to be awesome!!! When? I don't know, and neither do they. I'm a bit tired of being disappointed by patch after patch after patch.

I was thinking this exact thing. I can totaly see DDCS having red only F-14's for balancing out the blue F-18's. They'd be especially good at taking out the AWACS feeding F-18 data links. MP server balance will be an interesting thing as the F-18 develops and the F-14 comes on line. Drex knows what he's going in this regard with the DDCS server. He's not just going to ban the aim-54 and HARM... he's going to make it interesting.

F-14 radar should be much more vulnerable to the notch... You could just beam the F-14 then launch a 9x. JHMCS sees all! MUHUAHAHAH!!!!

I have a similar issue. About 50% of the time, my game hangs about half way through loading into DDCS. If I immediately restart the game after the crash, it loads in just fine. I'm assuming it's a memory issue on my part, but I had no problem at all until about 3 patches ago. It also screws with my sound and other video drivers. Sometimes it crashes discord in the background. No idea what that's about. Maybe I have a memory stick going bad or something... who knows. At most, DCS is using 6 gigs of ram, and I have 16... such a weird error.

If i was a multiplayer server admin, I'd disable Jester AI if I had the option. I hope that's an option.

Rne is very optimistic... i was head-on with an su-25 last night, fired an AIM-7 as soon as he hit Rne, he turned about 160 degrees and just flew away from it. No evasive maneuvers, no chaff... just flew away from it. I agree, that there are standards (expected g-rate of the turning aircraft, as blaze mentioned) in the calculation that can throw off the missile performance after the shot... and that's fine, but Rne is still WAAAY off.

I know you guys are saying "no" to this, but he's not that far off. The PFM for the F-15C is very well done and could pretty easily be tweaked by RAZBAM. They will not have to start from scratch with the F-15E flight model. If they did, you wouldn't see it this decade.
