  1. This thread makes me happy. Needs more .avi and less .trk :)
  2. If only my Mk 82 hat a 1 mile blast radius...
  3. you need fuel. The planes in Blue Flag start with 0.
  4. What about all of us that don't have combined arms?
  5. It's really not much older than the F-15C (1979). The RWR signals move a lot when you roll in the F-15, and if you're not paying attention, it'll look like the signal is coming from the opposite direction. The main difference here is the signal moving with stabilator deflection... but I don't think that will impact fights too much, just something to keep in mind.
  6. You need to watch this: (F-15 RWS "how-to" video)
  7. bump. Also, does changing this make you no longer IC compliant?
  8. The trim is a joke, IMO. You can trim level until close to transonic, then there's not enough trim... but you can activate auto pilot, which levels it out... makes little sense to me. Furthermore, the trim adjustments are too large, and you end up oscillating... unless there's a trick to it I don't know. Suffice it to say, it's not an enjoyable experience. I wish it was more like trimming the F-5... just enough to let you know it's not a fly-by-wire plane, but not so much that it's fricken annoying.
  9. +1 for the monty python reference (I got it at least)
  10. Yep, loving the hardcore server. It's a little difficult to figure out what's going on, though. I don't mean there should be aids to navigation or anything, I just mean a theater map would be nice, so I can plan missions. (similar to the standard web map you have for caucasus). It's very difficult to know what bases belong to whom, for example.
  11. I've worn PVS-15's, and you can easily change the focus distance. It makes no sense that you can clearly read the HUD, but none of the instruments.
  12. I use that mod in the F-18, and it's awesome, except you can't read anything in the cockpit. Which was exactly what Wags showed in his video. I've worn PVS-15's, and they can focus pretty close.
  13. I bet 99% of them would look like this:
  14. This thread is hilarious. +1 for french pronunciation being super hard... i'm trying to learn french, and the words, syntax, conjugations aren't that hard... it's the phonemes that we don't use in English that I'm struggling with... "r's" are the worst.
  15. Why would you want to do that? I built a new rig and just reinstalled, logged into my account, re-downloaded everything (but i don't have a data cap). I bet you could even copy the directory over and skip 99% of the downloading. also, this doesn't belong in this forum.
  16. FC3 radar is not as simple as you imply. It's actually modeled / simulated in great detail, but there are simplifications, such as IFF.
  17. I hope they fix the nvg so you can read the instruments.
  18. Consistency is not a strong suit of the ED PR department... hence why everyone is thinking FC4 represents new, non-clicky cockpits... because that's what was said previously... now it appears that FC4 (MAC) is just FC3 + a few gen 3 and gen 2 full fidelity modules. I wish they clarified this, given previous announcements regarding FC4.
  19. Will the F-5 be the full fidelity module? or no clicky cockpit?
  20. LOL, i'd pay $80 for the chrome cat... i don't think this will be a concern. :)
  21. ME: sees thread subject line ME: [TRIGGERED] ME: reads post about happy pilot ME: [/triggered] great post. I too love flying the hornet. Fighting with it is... well... a WIP, but after a little time in the dogfighting server, it's quite obvious she's going to be a beast in about "two weeks".
  22. You misunderstood my question. If the function you want does not exist in the real hornet, you shouldn't expect it in the simulation.
  23. On what basis do you think we should get that ability? Is that functionality in the real Hornet?
  24. no ailerons = adverse yaw = widow maker.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "works"... by your definition, the radar turns on, and therefore "works fine with the Hornet". Pedantic posts don't really contribute to the discussion.
