Never seen this. Maybe a date or specific missions. I just updated TTI 1.68a in openbeta ver 2.5.6.54046. I used today date and dynamic weather, jump in and DED show this: Maybe we are not looking at the same thing. Again, created a mission, started on the runway, jump in and DED page 4

Always been that way since the module was release with the INS. Caucasus always used N/E and NTTR use N/W.

How do I designate a CCRP target using the TGP post update

After SP: - Use TMS forward to ground stabilize the pod. - Slew the cross hair onto the target. - Fire the laser with first detent trigger to get ranging information. - TMS forward to ensure the system has target lock. - Maneuver to place the FPM center on the bomb fall line/steering line. - When the solution cue start to move downward, press and hold weapons release until ordnance has been release. -- If dropping LGB: Make a 45º (heading degrees, not bank angle) left turn follow by a right orbit to allow the TGP best view of the target. When the time to impact counter reads 10 to 8 seconds, press and hold first trigger detent to fire the laser and guide the bomb until impact. Hope that helps.

Help keeping the nose up during high bank angle maneuvers
mvsgas replied to SPS48A's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
So I understand: Minimum speed entry is 400KCAS or 674 feet per second. Minimum altitude entry is 400 feet AGL. The knife edge pass should be 8000 feet long, so it should take 12 seconds. You have to raise the nose 5 to 7 degrees, establish a climb before banking the aircraft 90º. If it becomes apparent the aircraft may descend below 400 feet AGL: abort, but it should not loose altitude. Is that what we are saying? -

The way the Knife edge pass is describe in the USAF instruction, it is suppose to loose altitude. For example:AFI 11-246V1, page 110, para 5.20.2 If it is normal to maintain altitude with rudder during the knife edge pass, why add this notice? -

Go to E-publishing.af.mil, look for the AFI 11-246V1. That is the USAF demonstration instruction and there are no releasability restrictions on this publication. All the maneuvers will describe there including aircraft configuration. -

That is how is suppose to work as describe in USAF manuals. Flares are dangerous in an emergency situations and are additional sources of ignition in a crash.

If CCIP was the last TCTO/ECP/ upgrade/update those F-16 went through that would be accurate, but it was not. For example: in 2007/2008, while station in Kunsan with the 80th FS, we where converting from block 30 to 40 after CCIP. We where getting aircraft from Eielson AB and from Cannon ( since Cannon was switching to AFSOC and Eielson to Agressors). So depending if the F-16 came from Cannon or Eielson, the had differences in the cockpit. Some panels where located in different places or they had different panels. We did not have all the T.O. sets so that did not help. So we where still transition to the 40, and they started to do the over the horizon communications also, it was just the schedule TCTO and as aircraft went to phase, they started to add those changes, so different antennas, radio panels and communication capabilities, etc. So, circa 2007/2008 in Kunsan AF, 8th FW: Between the 35th and 80th FS we had block 30, block 30 painted for the aggressor roll, CCIP block 40 (in different configurations) non CCIP block 40 ( in different configurations)

This is a subject that has come up several times in many forms. Whether INS alignment time, start time, rearming etc. The thing is, this can be corrected now without any modification to any module, it comes down to Mission design. Can they modify the auto start? Sure, there no problems with that. But why wait for a mod or put in the time and effort when you can simply start the mission in the air over the target? Or in the runway, or running on the parking spot? All this options eliminate the start, save time and are already available without any modification. If time is the only factor, why modify anything when you have several solution now?

I don't know about the A -10, for some F-16 INS/EGI versions: Keep in mind, in these versions of the INS/EGI, In Flight Alignment (IFA) is for emergencies and will require true heading from Wingman or other outside sources and is just to get you home, not to continue the mission. Additionally, not sure if it relates to the A-10 (any versions) or any other real aircraft.

I just did the survey and did not have to sign in. Not sure why it change.

No ADF AFAIK on this versions of the F-16. ADF in UHF back up panel should be non functioning. Keep in mind, F-16C block 50 for the USAF started being manufacture in the early 1990, but every F-16 is different and will have different update, update rate, etc and it is in a constant state of change. Belgium A models are different than ROCAF. Greekl F-16C block 50 are different than Polish which are different than USAF, etc.

From the DCS F-16C module manual, page 40 In the RL aircraft it depends on the software and the mode, etc.

I still don't get why people keep posting this video that serve no purpose. People want something change based on the way it looks, but they don't know what they are looking at. - First, this is not a block 50, if you cant tell the difference, thanks for proving my point. - Two, we do not know the condition of this landing gear. What do I mean? Why where they ops checking the landing gear? What is the reason the aircraft is on jacks and they are looking at the Nose Landing Gear (NLG)? The video description says: Do you know the aircraft we use for technical school? - Third, what pressure is the hydraulic mule? Hydraulic mule is what is used to provide pressurizer hydraulic fluid to the aircraft during operational checks. One of the checks for the landing gear is to raise the LG handle, and increase hydraulic pressure slowly until the landing gear retracts, so is this at 3000 psi or 1500psi? How do we tell? In sum up, this is not the F-16C in DCS, we do not know the condition of the landing gear and we do not know the hydraulic pressure, why even use an F-16 video? Might as well post a 747 landing gear retraction and used that as reference. ED will choose how to model this, either way is fine to me. I just which people saying something is wrong would use technical information that is helpful. Like:"The retraction rate slows down when retract actuator get to "x" value because "Y" valve does this". Instead we keep seeing: "This is wrong because I said so".

There is not specific answer, it depends on meteorological factors, fuel weight, stores, etc. It is best answer in the manual, page 32 to 34

I think Kutaisi only has ILS on Runway 08 according to the charts in DCS. You can find the charts in you installation folder. drive you install DCS in:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Doc\Charts\DCS_GND_Charts.pdf

Should be able to rotate the knob clockwise until it uncages.

There are plenty of option for this already. You have easy avionics, start in the ramp or runway running or in the air. This is not a problem with the model but with the missions. You don't have to wait at all if you start in the air right over the target. 90 seconds for store alignment is not that long and you can refueled, rearm and takeoff in the same time it take the Mig-29 in game ( at around 4.5 minutes) I have never encounter a problem doing store alignment if done properly. The problems I often see is people just want to flip all the switches now as oppose to follow the proper sequence so it messes the flow and they have to redo several steps.
