[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
MrReynolds replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
Hi Pikas. I haven't flown for the year, but I know in the old version of this FANTASTIC campaign allowed you to open missions in the editor beofre flying. Using this, could you or your friend edit a flight to have his aircraft instead of the default. I know it's a work-around, but......:music_whistling: -
4k TV ( 55 inches but not only )
MrReynolds replied to Lenux's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm on a 43" Samsung. Everything's fine frankly. Also got a 4k monitor and won't go back. I do have to play on game mode as the screen doesn't look right if it swaps to another profile. It's not as if my system can go >60fps at the moment anyway !!! Any questions fire away. -
I've been flying....another "game" and to say using markpoints again was a revelation is an...understatement!
-
Gotta plus one. I got what I paid for - just didn't really consider what I was buying. So. Not upset, but.... I've been away from DCS for a bit - got another sim "on the side". I've loaded up a mission for landing and basically I've now gained a fancy ball that pops up in the groove and a shiny light at the back of the boat (albeit a very useful shiny light). A very uncouth review - as obvisouly there are some extra radio calls and deck crew, but - for a full price mod .... nah, should be half the price I reckon. We don't even get the lovely flight path graphical assessment the Tomcat has :-( That's what I really want. A thorough reiew of my landing. Now. If I multiplayered I can imagine it would be more interesting. Got to test out case 3 landing now. That sounds like a challenge getting the timing down (hope I get reviewed on that)!
-
I know I should have researched this, but I was REALLY hoping for the grading graphs like the lucky tomcatters have. At the moment I've paid my money for the lineup light at the stern of the boat and the shiny ball symbology that pops up when in the groove!

Try and Fly all our products for free for a whole month!
MrReynolds replied to lobo's topic in DCS 2.9
Yep. Me too. Actually got back in to Falcon 4 as I missed the campaign so much. However.................... I've just taken a spin in a "little gazelle" and loved it! Brought back childhood memories from growing up next to RNAS Culdrose which flew quite a few of those buggers! Now for the Harrier and Huey!!! A totally top notch gesture. Going to get sales but yeah, TOP NOTCH. -

Random Crash F18 with TGP on near water caucasus.
MrReynolds replied to robgraham's topic in Game Crash
You know what, I've had two crashes using TGP here too. A-A just fine. Get ready for a bit of A-G, set JSOW options then start playing with the pod and boom. Thought it may have been the mission or overclock (which for the 2nd time I had turned off). Did send crash report. dcs.log-20200303-174253.zip dcs.log-20200303-172926.zip -
Thanks. It DOES look like permissions but why do they change? One minute works, then the other not. Same if it's AV..... Thanks of course anyway ! Now need to sort out the infinate load issue.

TRIED a repair and get this log: (deleted a lot of waffle as the forum won't let me post enough).

New problem. Have had before and a computer restart DID fix it. I have flown already today, so it's been fine. Came back from a cycle and my game shortcut is now looking for a DCS.exe with a FORWARD slash: Can't run E:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin/DCS.exe: (2) The system cannot find the file specified. EDIT: reboot didn't work, running the .exe from the game folder DOES....................... However, my Operation Liberation saves weren't visible, so I ran a repair which worked, and then they were.....visible again, and the desktop shortcut works again. I've got this too. Don't know if it's because I'm in windowed mode. On load up: 1) checks for update 2) small splash screen 3) logs me in 4) full screen 5a) the progress load pops and up everything's fine 5b) the white windows mouse cursor appears and the full screen splash screen just sits there. Just now had 5 failed loads (ctrl+alt+delete - close) to reload. Started writing this, half way through and it ... loaded.

Including A-G radar and mark points? That will be sweet!
-
I've just been struck with this and the above answer. Thanks Google and you guys :-)
-
Can't reiterate that enough! Last thing you want is to meticulously set 8 points and forget to undesignate the last --> ripple firing through all of the others with the last designate!!! :megalol: Nope. Never done that myself. Nope. No...............

[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
MrReynolds replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
It's a shame more flights can't be made per mission. As we have it there is "our" flight, and maybe an opposing one. Would be great if there could be another mission or two going on in "our" mission. cough cough. hint hint...... :music_whistling::D -

[REPORTED] AGM65F+TGP locking issue (bug?)
MrReynolds replied to Burner1111's topic in Bugs and Problems
For what it's worth here's the track. At the start you can see my playing with the MAV seeker, moving it about. Setting a waypoint target on and off to see the uncaging going to the waypoint. Turn off waypoint target designate (pardon the wrong acronym) and can slew about like a dream. Everything's fine with that. Then we move into the TGP bit where it tracks to the TGP lock, but I can't undesignate. I don't know if the track will show, but I do escape to check key bindings and the NWS / undesignate key is set correctly. Basically it would seem I can't undesignate once I have locked using the TGP. The target diamond doesn't dissapear. Like I said before in this thread - sure there's a PIBKAC somewhere;) Test Mav.trk -
[REPORTED] AGM65F+TGP locking issue (bug?)
MrReynolds replied to Burner1111's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for trying. The MAV is SOI. I can use it with MAV only, without TGP. I know what I'm doing (no offense to you or from me). Once I put the TGP into the equation slewing no longer works. It's locked to the target point and I can't undesignate. Slewing to TGP is great. Just the MAV lock is skitty as hell and unusable. (I CAN use it without TGP - honest ;-) ) Parameters in range etc - Just I can't refine my MAV lock by slewing from MAV SOI. Maybe I'll make a video tomorrow. -
[REPORTED] AGM65F+TGP locking issue (bug?)
MrReynolds replied to Burner1111's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well. Half way there I think. Without a TGP everything worked well. MAV moving etc exactly how it should. BUT - when I set the waypoint as the target on the HSI (you get the target diamond over the WP) the MAV sticks to it like glue. I can't slew it or anything. Turn the target on HSI off and can slew again. Makes sense! Now. With the TGP setting the target, the same happens. Depress to set target, and MAV slews to it. BUT..... I can't undesignate it as a target. Pinky isn't working seemingly (yes i've checked the bindings to double doubt myself). The HSI hasn't got any button ticked (target or waypoint) so it's not that. Obviously the MAV is slaved to the target point, but I personally can't get it moving once it's locked on to the TGPs point. Thinking about it, I'm making it too complicated. As the MAV sticks to the TGP like glue, if it isn't auto-locking due to it being a metre out I just slew the TGP and it get's it's lock........ **EDIT: Nah, it's not that easy!! I'm sure it's a case of PIBKAC, but it is frustrating as I thought I had it figured lol EDIT: Thanks Harker, I had this post ready to send before yours, but was running missile runs to make sure I'm not a complete oaf! -
[REPORTED] AGM65F+TGP locking issue (bug?)
MrReynolds replied to Burner1111's topic in Bugs and Problems
I'll check tonight but pretty sure I haven't seen my Mav move about independently from the TGP since before Christmas. TDC priority / SOI would certainly be ticked. Undesignate - I'm 99% sure I would have smashed that loads of times thinking it's slaved to the FLIR. Slew IS with TDC depress. Haven't experimented with simple (not pressing TDC). Will try again tonight :-) -
[REPORTED] AGM65F+TGP locking issue (bug?)
MrReynolds replied to Burner1111's topic in Bugs and Problems
Gotta say I'm a plus 1 to the erratic behaviour of the '65. Using the TGP to find and lock target is fine. Uncaging the mav when SOI tracks to the target location but from there things go awry. *) It doesn't really lock up to the area. (as in OP) *) I try un-designating (both in MAV and TGP SOI), but then the MAV seeker doesn't move with my joystick TDC slew commands. I can't refine the location to get a good lock. I thought it was me but reading this makes me think there must be a glitch somewhere under the hood. -
Indeed it has. I don't know why Windows is looking at that folder on the backup HDD but it's a good lesson for anyone else with these problems in the future. Anyway, it seems to be fixed now. Many thanks for your interest and help :-) Enjoy the rest of your weekend :pilotfly:
