I solved it by getting an O+ for Christmas.

Had to cancel my pre order, credit union refuses to handle these types of transactions, "it's not in your terms of service" excuse. Unfortunately there is no competition in banking locally, so its a dead end.

Yes, slats are not the only thing deploying with the DLC thumb roller, also some flap. Yes, but there are times when its advantages to get them out when normally they wouldn't. High speed turn using gravity, or over the top inverted to help the nose over. Basic energy building and retaining maneuvers.

Don't skimp on quality if you want to use voiceattack, my O+ mic is not good enough, works fine for discord and team comms, but only about 20% effective with voiceattack. My old USB headsets mic is nearly flawless. Got a new stand alone mic on order to clip on the HMD.

Yup, the immersion is strong in this one. It feels like strapping on a high powered performance fighter. Flight model is amazing, so very dynamic through the ever changing conditions. It's a handful. Well done, seems well worth the time and study needed to master it. Other modules are sidelined for a while. Thank you guys, outstanding work.

Had it happen also, normal ground recovery, everything seemed smooth, no problems. Went to external view after parking and shut down, and there it was, wings in full sweep back.

Once your in the RIO position, your under his key commands, they're separate. Find the same keys and bind them to the same buttons, than no more troubles.

Hit the master external light switch on your throttle. By design, no lights on the carrier till launch. Yup, the rear pit is far more outstanding in 3D, beyond anything I imagined looking at the flat pictures, impressive. Front is nice and roomy, not bad at all.

Playing around a bit, it's connected with the white flood light switch, setting it forward or aft will cause the flickering rectangle. All lights scrolled to max on, red floods are fine either position, no other causes besides the white flood light. Once the white flood is set back to off, the problem is gone.

I'm getting a black rectangle the same size as the scoring menu that pulses on and off exactly with the HUD symbols updating. It's not exactly solid, but very noticeable especially at night with lights on. Can clearly see the borders and all is smooth and normal outside the rectangle. Happens in VR, using a Vega card, all normal on the main monitors image.

Fuel Flow tapes are pretty descent indicators, it's easy to see in video's how the throttles are being managed when they're in sight.

You can try opentrack, I know it used to work with the rift. Not a pleasant experience though, used it about five minutes and never tried again. There's a thread here somewhere about using it with HMD's. Shortly after that ordered a fishing boat seat swivel and put it between an auto bucket seat and it's base.

Cool, welcome dual brancher. Very fast and simple ways, you can peak outside your headset, if your mouse isn't active on your laptop screen, remove the HMD all the way to activate it, than you can kill the steam VR app if you want and relaunch via the virtual desktop once back in your HMD. Or you can simply click on the DCS icon on your laptop desktop while still in steam with your headset off your head. The second route may result in no mouse motion in game, in that case use method one. Taking the headset off will always shift mouse control back to the PC screen. And once your a vet at it, a slight lift and push forward on the visor will suffice.

I've been using a rift and now O+ now for so long, its automatic to turn my head instead of eyes to look at anything in detail. Pretty much pointless to shift eyes to the edges, probably goes against the intended design any way. Something one adapts to and gets accustomed to with use.

Don't trust the IPD read out in the Samsung, ignore it and go by what your eyes know. Mine in an O+ is a couple cm's more than what the rift was. If I try setting it to my actual physical IPD, its very uncomfortable.

I've got also, since the update. Can only bind one command at a time, than it fails to bind any further commands, including when in the plane. When I drop back into the plane all functions that are already set work fine, so it's not the controllers that are dropping out. Any axis that's already set up won't register any response when fine tuning is selected after a new command is set, yet they still work fine in the pit. Have to completely exit and restart the game to do the next binding, one at a time. Kind of put the new Mig beyond reach, bad timing for the Tomcat also. Also using a Virpil, but it's dead on the other none Virpil stuff too.

Whatever happens under no circumstances put a banging contact sound in there, that took forever to get rid of in the other sim, can drive you absolutely mad in some pits, to the point you refuse to fly them.

That's actually a pretty slick idea, best with a custom scaling setting. I don't see how you'd get motion sickness from just a mouse cursor moving. More immersion breaking having to reach for the mouse and supplement the movement to those hard to reach controls.

The plus is back on sale, $299 at samsung. Almost in trackIR price range, heck of a deal.

Since the last WMR patch, it's now the default setting, there is no longer a need to set it.

I don't, but I'm aware other sim groups do, and some tweak pages for VR speak of it. I've tested it, and on my system with DCS it results in forever load times, and occasional crashes in the load screen. So it might explain the hang time he's experiencing in DCS. Should have been a bit more specific and said DON'T do that.
