  1. Good point, @Spirale. I made a poll on the big DCS group on FB and the result suggested that Sinai was pretty well in use already. Maybe it wasn't as representative, as I thought. I keep making missions If my weird little mind comes up with a background story again, it will probably also be in a graphic novel style again.
  2. Thank you both so much! It was fun going down the graphic novel route I will surely do it again somewhen, if the story allows it. Bottomline, I have to consider the mission being a giant fail. 300 odd downloads in three weeks is nothing and I don't yet understand what went wrong. If it just isn't "Apache time", if it is the story as such, if it is that Apache pilots do not play SP missions anymore - I really am clueless at the moment

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce my new mission "Operation Horizon", a storydriven rescue mission on the Sinai map: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331765/ The mission: In 2016, a school class of Israeli children is on a fieldtrip to Jerusalem. On their way home their bus is stopped by a group of armed fighters and abducted to the West Bank. Authorities are quickly informed and a ground based rescue team as well as an Apache helicopter (“Splitter”) are scrambled for a rescue operation. At 15:30 local time, the Apache – call sign SPLITTER one-one – is launched at Palmachim Air Base. Its primary task is to find the school bus in the vicinity of the pinpointed location and wait for further instructions. You will fly along the pre-planned flight route and follow the instructions of COMMAND. Before reaching the West Bank, you will receive MGRS coordinates of the location, where the girl’s mobile was pinpointed. Use your F10 radio item to inform ground forces when you found the bus, else they will not proceed to the location. You will find the bus surrounded by enemy fighters and be cleared to engage. Be very cautious not to hit the bus! After the bus scene you might receive another assignment. Listen to COMMAND and follow the on screen instructions.   9. One question - in Casmo's video it sounded like there is no button to use the new optical sight, like for instance in the Hind. In VR or using TrackIR it is easy enough to lean forward. Does this mean we have to move the cockpit camera to use it in 2D? Is there a button like in the Hind planned for the future maybe? Thanks.
  10. Thank you very much! I could reproduce it now - as expected the problem was me of course. Moving my view from right to left, I first switched the radio to P and then switched it on - I did not expect this to make a difference, my fault. Following your steps works fine, sorry for the trouble. Else, a phantastic campaign. I am about to fly mission 6 today and I never got this far any campaign so far. Very entertaining and I love the navigation. A lot to learn here, also as a fellow mission maker. Cheers Carsten

  12. Downloaded this morning and flew the first two mission - really great! I have a problem with mission 3 though - radio is set, but I never get any messages, neither sound nor onscreen. I only see and hear my answers. ++edit++ If I switch to channel 5 right away, I get all the messages, except for the radio check and the order to change frequency.

  17. @BuzzLine thank you so much for the kind words and feedback, I really appreciate it I will expand the campaign "soon", to include the S530F and the new features of the EE, like aerial refueling and the INS.
  18. Thanks for the hint, I will keep it in mind when I update the campaign There was a small bug in mission #9 - Laser guided bombs with JTAC. The drone would fly some weird patterns, though it kept lasing correctly. It now flies a correct orbit as it should be. I updated the campaign download file, but also uploaded a fix, incase you just want to exchange the single miz file: Fix Mission #9
  19. Hello, since the recent update to 2.8.0.032937 the (C + M or SW)R mode light on the HUD frame is not working anymore. Track file is included. Tested with Magic I and AIM-9JULI F1 missing Sidewinder light.trk
  20. Maybe I just haven't found the button, but it would be great to have an option to "deselect all" in the payload restriction screen, rather than having to deselect every single weapon on every single pylon.

  21. It would be great to have a (taxi) HOLD command for AI aircraft, just like we have it for vehicles. For instance, I would like to make the player wingman in a formation and have the ai leader "HOLD" till the player signals "ready to taxi" with a F10 command (flag).
