  1. Yes, I really agree it's a sensitive issue. That's probably why no one has said anything. But I couldn't keep quiet any longer. There is nothing wrong with commemorating an anniversary of his death, but then you should acknowledge that that's what you are doing. Now, let Jim truly rest in peace.

  6. Without knowing, I'm guessing you need to edit the triggers of the mission to include the added helos in some way, either by joining them in a group and change the triggers to affect the group, or adding separate triggers for each unit.

  8. Yes, it was very tight. I wonder if individual tree placement is randomly generated for each user, or if everybody has the exact same?
  9. No, I failed my first attempt due to asymmetrical lift caused by ground-effect acting on half the rotor-disk. I was trying to land next to the river, and the river bank was very steep and high. When I descended over the edge, the asymmetrical lift caused a pitch-up motion which was quickly counteracted by the pilot. However, the motion triggered a pilot-induced oscillation which resulted in loss of control and the main rotor striking a nearby tree. The crew survived, but the helicopter was a total loss. My second attempt was more successful. I descended in the same area, but made sure to stay above flat ground at all times.

But I'm sure it will be fixed soon. In the meantime, I think you can alter the mission in Mission Editor and delete the unit causing the conflict.

  15. When you enable the autopilot (=copilot), it sometimes maneuvers aggressively, causing the EGT limit to be exceeded, and subsequent engine fire and crash to occur.
  16. Good question! I haven't noticed them being low FPS, but I do have noticed them lagging considerably, noticeable when doing fast movements. Maybe it's low FPS I'm seeing.
  17. I have a GTX1080Ti and an i7 7700K, but still high settings causes occasional stutters. Overclocked, but not as much as you.
  18. Yeah, I have noticed all this as well. Would love for it to be fixed, but I suspect it isn't an easy fix.

  20. I edited the mission with ME, yes. And exactly those triggers! :) Not sure what height would be required, maybe as much as 340 isn't needed. Oh well, if it works, it works!
  21. The mission doesn't detect when I have landed at checkpoint 8. I suspected that the terrain mesh had something to do with it, and changed the required value for maximum height to 340 instead of 325. After that it worked.
  22. Hi! A fun mission, once you get the hang of it! Some feedback: You should include a more detailed mission description in the in-game briefing. The first times I tried it, it wasn't clear to me what I was supposed to do. And what about the aircraft that gets controlled by Skynet? Do I need to shoot them down, or fly close and detain? When I tune in to the frequencies of the vehicles, I only get homing signal in very short bursts, making it all but impossible to track them down if not using labels. Is this by design, or a bug in the latest version of DCS? If it's by design, you could provide just a fraction longer signal bursts, as it is now, it's too hard. Thanks for the hard work and some fun flying!

  24. Controls indicator and AI status overlay for the Huey are now visible by default in VR, and DCS doesn't remember that I turned them off when flying next mission. It would be preferable to have them turned off by default, since they subtract from the VR immersion. Also, they are both cut at the outer edges. (For those of you who want to hide them: Ctrl-Enter and Win-H respectively.)
