You can install both versions, stable and open beta on the same disk. If the disk is too small, replace it or build a second one into your PC.

T-45 downloaded but can't fly.
norbot replied to Baz236's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I don't think the firewall is blocking a DLL but rather the antivirus software. You have to exclude the DLL-file from being scanned. -
That's correct, but Pilot905 asked about the F-16, F-18 and JF-17. They are far from being prop fighters.
-
It is not unusual to develop a module for the current DCS version. So why disappointed? What is preventing you from installing version 2.7?
-
The need for pedals is overrated. You can fly both the F-16 and the F-18 quite well without pedals. I usually only use the pedals on the ground when I'm rolling to the airfield.

Link in post #1 seems to be outdated.

I can only agree with that. -

If you‘ve got a problem with this thread, just don‘t look at it. I don‘t think it‘s up to you, to have it closed. -
It's time for a Zero and a Japanese carrier.

Want F-117A Nighthawk - high fidelity module
norbot replied to Cigar Bear's topic in DCS Core Wish List
This! So we don‘t have to argue about RCS, aspect angle or being classified. And don‘t tell me it‘s still in service. Most of the other modern aircraft in DCS are still in service, too (A-10, AV-8, F-16, F-18 - just to name a few). -
The Yak-52 and the Christen Eagle II are civilian aircraft modules in DCS.
-
Magnitude 3 LLC already did that with the Christen Eagle II.

I‘m using the HOTAS Warthog, so I don‘t know how the Cougar is built. The mechanics of the throttle is based on friction, so I don‘t think greasing it with nyogel or anything else is a good idea.
-
I wouldn‘t hold my breath until the Bronco will be released.

Two weeks and everything is subject to change.

Just radio to your AI wingman to RTB. Then you can fly formation with him.

Not often that someone is willing to pay for less.

Your idea isn‘t really new.

Which module do you mean by that? I'm quite sure, not all modules are wrong. On what data do those real pilots rely? Just a feeling? I don't think ED will change their modules based on that.

Bring A-10A up to "near" A-10C DCS standard
norbot replied to Andrew8604's topic in A-10A for DCS World
As much as I would like a clickable A-10A, I don't think the chances are high, we could get it. Not after the A-10C and A-10C II. It would be the fourth version of the A-10 in DCS. -
As much as I know, the Tejas is a pretty modern aircraft, that was introduced into service around 2015. Is there enough public data available, to simulate it in DCS quality?

According to the latest update post (https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/254461-official-news-2021/?do=findComment&comment=4553551) there is an "implemented jammer auto OFF function in AUTO when threat is no longer valid". At least in the A-10C II. Didn't try it in the "old" A-10C.
