LFC2 Vinson Blast Deflector Bug
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to crazyeddie's topic in Bugs and Problems
Now that I understand you're right they did do that in LOMAC. Maybe a bug that'll be fixed with the upcoming patch! I understand how the plates work for the record..... -
rotor collision... what went wrong

Trims not bad or horrible once you learn to use it properly. -

There may be a way to make a new carrier model but I think that's the way it is in game. -
Saitek and Black Shark Problem
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to Ramstein's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Although I don't have any worthwhile suggestions to add, I think you're on to something here as I've gotten crashes from what I suspected were controller issues. Seems that Black Shark did give me the most issues but I think I had issues in Il2 1946 and LOMAC. EDIT: I have a Saitek X52/Pro Pedals/Pro Gamer Command Unit & AV8R all being utilized by the sims in question. The only other controllers I use are a Logitech Wingman and a Contour Shuttle Pro V2 I doubt the latter two are causing the problem. -
More powerfull landing/spot light illumination ?
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to GuntiNDDS's topic in DCS Modding
Well damn whats the point of all these bells and whistles then? I bought this sim thinking I could simulate local police helos tracking the shirtless Georgian driving the stolen school bus at night. Really disappointed ED..........;) -
best weapons commands for logitech 3d pro
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to shea1980's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Yeah I'll add again those aren't exactly the buttons I have set on my HOTAS but just ideas. My lock button is on my collective for instance. Set up whatever works for what I listed is just for reference or what may be useful. No one set up works for everyone, I know many virtual pilots who program multiple profiles for there sticks/HOTAS but I have enough custom switch panels that I don't have to. Everything else I use the keyboard or mouse (clickable pits rule no click pits drool.....)! -

Cannon Cannon Select Pylon Select Weapon Release Lock Target Slew Shkval (HAT Switch) Trimmer Those are just ideas of what I'd do although my X52 is set up to resemble the cyclic layout as much as possible, and since I use a modded AV8R Joystick for a collective I have a few more buttons to play with than most. -

I'd like to know about this too especially the spotlight and anti-collision beacon. Its pretty rare for me to ever see the spotlight. In one online mission I took off from a carrier at dark and the beacons reflections stopped as soon as I get past the deck. I think I've heard that lights in game only reflect off of objects and nothing else. -
I've definitely heard the speed check story before, hard to mention the Blackbird without that story!

Well this is my attempt: Flatland BMX till I'm too old! I haven't added the deck of cards yet instead opting to make the noises myself. Quick acceleration though.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Sure funny the list is practically FC2 with Black Shark thrown in and no mention of A10C, but I would expect them to make Falcon/Hornet sims given the popularity and lack of sims (except for the dated Falcon sim). Who knows though? Definitely not me! -
So we've settled on "two weeks"! We could go with 14 days but it doesn't sound as cool...............

Hell I remember how Triple Action on our Intellivision II was the coolest thing in the world, it was of course my first tank, driving and bi-plane simulator....... well sorta!

V-Sync with Ati Catalyst 10.3
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to Kankkis's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I think its for ATI cards, I don't think nVidia cards suffer the same V-Sync issues -
Jim Martin would have only brought the band down IMHO. I'm a fan but he was completely against the direction the band was going and subsequently was almost absent on the Angel Dust album. I remember reading somewhere that Jim Martin was barely involved in the recording process yet alone song writing at that point. But that said Real Thing was one of my favorite albums...... You should check out these albums (Patton side projects): Mr Bungle - California, Mr Bungle Tomahawk - Mit Gas, Tomahawk Lovage - Music to Make Love To Your Old Lady By I like Fantomas but in a different musical perspective, its like orchestrated madness to me but I like a lot of Avant Garde style music like that. Looks like that Melbourne hall is very similar in size to the warfield and my brother and I almost stood in the same position lol! Thanks for posting the pics!

Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to some1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hell I'll need to work that day to afford the controller and still support the family LMAO! -
Angel Dust is one killer album I think there idea right now is to tour have fun and who knows for the future. Definitely still relevant and the music is still great. Mike Patton is releasing his Mondo Cane project which is 60-70s Italian pop songs backed by an orchestra and sung in Italian. Well rounded singer doesn't even begin to describe.........
