  1. Strano che ED annunci un modulo in uno stato così embrionale
  2. Yes please, S version need to come to DCS, please RAZBAM
  6. Ok so the majority of them stick to the Sparrow
  7. Quick dumb question, is the F-15A compatible with AIM-120? Does it have TWS? If so it could act like a -C (ish) since in BVR the aircraft itself is less important then the radar+missile combination
  8. Guys, you should know how HB works, don't expect anything until December when they will release a jaw-dropping preorder video
  10. I don't know were you found your information but I think you are wrong, during operation Linebacker I and II most of the NAVY and Marines AA kills were done by J, not B. And the last USN kill is done still by a J not a B in January 12, 1973. Also, high % of B kills were against Mig-17, 1st gen vs 3rd gen, very little Mig-21 were shot down by B (if not none but I don't know that). About the N yes, you are right, looks like it never saw combat in Vietnam, I was sure of the contrary, thanks for pointing it out. With "new engines" I was referring about the smokeless engine, not a different one. And about slats I may be wrong but I knew it was part of the upgrade on the N but maybe it was applied to J and S only (I'm talking about naval variants only) If you like F-4B and you want it in DCS that is perfectly fine, is still an iconic aircraft, I only said it was more limited than what people usually think, partially because it saw combat against relatively weak enemies, like Mig-17 and sometimes even An-2. I still prefer the J, (post Agile Eagle conversion).
  11. Don't forget that F1BE, F1EE and F1M will arrive so there will be SEVEN different Mirage. Let's hope for a 2000-5 so we will get basically every Mirage.
  12. Maybe it's a unpopular opinion but before the introduction of AIM-7E and AIM-9D i think the F-4B was very limited, let's remember that early sparrows (including E variants) has a 40% (if I remember correctly) chance to ignite the motor, we are not even talking about missile performance. AIM-9B slightly better but still not a reliable weapon. Then we can talk about the missile itself, before 1963 there was AIM-7D which was capable of shooting down only aircraft flying straight, AIM-7E is a more capable missile but very far from the AIM-7M and P which we are used to in DCS. Then there is the AIM-9B sidewinder that F-86 and F-5 pilots here knows how it struggle. If we mix not so good missiles with an aircraft unable to dogfight due to the hard wing and the lack of guns (remember the pod was pretty draggy and was used mainly as AG weapon) we have only a very fast aircraft, like the F-104 but way more expensive. Post mid-60s we can think of a good F-4B with newer weapons but in those years the J came out and it relegate the B variant only to ground attack. For these reason I would like very much a F-4N, just because it has all the legacy of the B but with Agile Eagle upgrade, new engines, -J weapons and still a plane which saw combat in Vietnam, I'm not interested very much in a slat-lacking Phantom in DCS.
  13. Sorry if has already been asked but do we know the weapons our A-7 will carry? Only dumb bombs and rockets or maybe some paveway, walleye and TGP? (I don't expect Mavs since as far as I know only the A-7D carried them) AGM-45? AGM-88?
  14. From the Gripen C they use Link 16
  15. Looks like it have been corrected everywhere, good job
  16. I'm not a super duper expert but as far as I know: About E Phantom: Standard early loadout would be 4x AIM-7E and 4x AIM-9E But with the more modern variant you can expect AIM-7F and AIM-9J, I don't know about AIM-9L About the naval variant it depends from the variant itself S would have AIM-7M and AIM-9L (maybe even AIM-9M) J can carry AIM-7F, AIM-7E, AIM-9G, AIM-9D (I think N would be very similar in terms of loadouts) B is limited to AIM-7E and AIM-7D, AIM-9D or AIM-9B
  17. Where is the N variant? it saw combat in Vietnam, is an upgraded B and has smokeless engines (at least not a Titanic chimney)
  18. Since there will be two USAF variants I hope for two Navy variants, N and J would be my favorites (the N slightly ahead).
  19. You know what's even funnier? They changed the title and the thumbnail of the release video to F1 BUT They also changed the text you said to F-1 Looks like they didn't know what's correct
  20. Maybe I'm wrong but shouldn't it be called F1 and not F-1? Because right now on the ED shop and in the launch trailer video title it is called F-1. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong of course.
  23. I think end of August, maybe 24 or 31
