It was stated in the newsletter I think that this is the first map that completely uses the new terrain tech/tools.

You can change the laser code for LGB's in the viper via the kneeboard, but you have to do it before you start up the jet/on the ground, like in real life. You will have to make sure the JTAC has stopped firing his laser or changes to a different code when you are self-lasing

I asked BigNewy on discord about the Newsletter part of the Harrier and he said it is just them (ED) promoting their 3rd Party created content (which goes in hand with the new screenshots I guess), we'll probably see this happening with other modules in future I guess. I personally don't think ED is not involved in the development now

You need to stop acting as some spoiled entitled kid. If you don’t understand how development works in some of these cases (it is very well described in some of the above posts) then you should just be quiet and wait. Aka id it not a meaningful bug report but just another post complaining, keep it to yourself and don’t bother the devs or us with it.

It’s such a shame this STILL hasn’t been fixed and it also present on other aircraft. ED really needs to GET ON WITH THIS!

Not lame imo. I’d rather have a ton more of (basic) systems complete before the Mavs or anything else...

It still decently modern ground weapons wise at least, JHMCS and AIM-9X are nice but not a must on a mainly ground focused aircraft imo, I guess most of us got a little spoiled by those with the Hornet and Viper :)

There not making 2 versions. the + in "Suite 4+" means Suite 4 or newer no an incremental update on Suite 4. So + = Newer

Like Harlikwin said yeah basically those, not sure which TGP it carried back then, could still be LANTIRN. but if they decide to make a newer version than Suite 4 we will very likely see the Sniper ATP instead of the LANTIRN

Suite 4 is from 2002/3, so it will an SE from roughly that year or newer (which is what the + indicates) and as per the Podcast they are aiming to make an even newer version than suite 4, so that likely something like a Suite 5/6 or 6/7 so from about 2007 or onwards. But we'll hear more about it this summer.

I've listened to this and it is not said anywhere it is a 1990's jet like you are stating. It is actually not mentioned anywhere...

Like I said before, the whole 1990's thing you are saying is not true, they had 1 particular manual from the 1990's that's it. Nowhere was it EVER stated by RAZBAM that they were only allowed to make a 1990's version. You're just spreading misinformation at this point

No these are not integrated on USAF F-15E's, only on (some) export versions.

As they said we're getting a Suite 4 or newer SE, which would mean it is at least a 2002/3 SE but potentially newer. It was never said they were allowed to model a 1990's version, not sure where you are getting your info from...

That's some BS, they can use ED's radar API for both AA and AG radar, so it should be pretty good they just have to intergrate it...

Thanks for this Kate, now can we see a similar post for the Viper with such a list. Even though it will be on the backburner this year, I would still like to know what features ED do have planned for this year.

They don’t reply to things often on here but that doesn’t mean they haven’t read it, so keep that in mind. Secondly there seems to be a big push on the Harrier in the coming OB update of June 3rd. And as the Facebook video linked earlier showed it looks like the NAVFLIR is fixed. Stuff isn’t always an easy 2 minute fix sadly, I suggest you check out the RAZBAM episode on the Air Combat Sim podcast where they explain why things sometimes take a while to fix, it might change your perspective on the situation.

I don’t understand why it is always so hard for ED to accept fault in something and say: “hey, thank you for providing new and more accurate info, we will get to work with this”. Like it doesn’t hurt ED/the Sim/anyone to admit a fault sometimes. The info Swift provided clearly proves more accurate to what ED has been using for the Litening.
