They’re not really workarounds. That’s just how it has to be done in the jet. And I assume the coords are there to be readout over the radio to say a wingman, etc.

Hi, yes it's another McDonnell Douglas aircraft but from what some F-15E SME's have said on discord the HOTAS is very different to the F-18 or any other jet. Where with the F-18C the HOTAS really feels more like "Hands OFF Throttle And Stick" XD the F-15E is going to be a lot more "Hands ON". There will definitely be a learning curve, especially with symbology, and naming of things MFD pages, etc, but I imagine there will be some similarities too. But I have no doubt a great tutorial series (not Grim Reapers) will pop up on YouTube either before release or shortly after that should help a lot. Until we get closer to release it's still quite speculative unfortunately

correct as-is Drag issue with 4xJSOWs on F-16?
FoxOne007 replied to pchRage's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I’ll leave it at this. Again it was tested (there’s images if it too) but it wasn’t adopted by the USAF beyond that. So ofc there is going to be docs about it, as those were made during said testing period. In the end they scrapped the weapon so those docs become irrelevant -
correct as-is Drag issue with 4xJSOWs on F-16?

You can’t stop using something you never started using….. It clearly was since you showed 0 actual knowledge. But if you don’t care then why are you here…. -

correct as-is Drag issue with 4xJSOWs on F-16?
FoxOne007 replied to pchRage's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
It still isn’t as ONCE AGAIN it wasn’t actually used. USAF quit the entire project in ‘05, , it didn’t go beyond the initial testing phase of the project. -
correct as-is Drag issue with 4xJSOWs on F-16?
FoxOne007 replied to pchRage's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
….. based on this: And various F-16 and F-15E SME’s have stated it was never actually used outside of initial testing. USAF chose to go with JASSM instead and stick with normal bombs. The Air Force doesn’t have these around anymore. They may opt for it again for the F-35A but we’ll see. PS: you should do better research, 90% of this information was 1 google search away -

There’s a reason it wasn’t carried on BRU’s . (I’ll just ignore the fact that the USAF doesn’t even use the JSOW) -
Here you guys go…….

DCS: Roadmap (unofficial - NO DISCUSSION HERE)

They asked the above image to be removed btw, there’s some wrong symbology in there. As a consolation they did give us a mass Mk-82 delivery image -

Well, here’s the thing they chose what they want to show. It’s definitely not an empty shell. And to say that it looks like a Reskinned F-15C…. Like for real…., is that based on your extensive knowledge of module/model development or the massive lack there off….. I recommend you all stop with these half empty guesses based on lack of knowledge and just wait until more images and video’s show up

Yepp, and still have yet to deliver…

When can we finally expect the kneeboard of this in game, the one that was promised when you brought the HARMs to the Viper over a year ago….

I also don’t really see the significance of a bomb being dropped or not. They probably could have easily done it for the video’s sake, but what’s more important are the systems/etc. related to it. So rather than doing a quick coding bit to show a bomb drop it shows they’re working hard on all the systems/stuff related to it so it’ll be done and dusted when the time comes

What actually is DTOS mode in the F16?
FoxOne007 replied to Rhinozherous's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
And here’s me thinking it meant Dive/Toss for some reason . Thanks for the explanation -

The Mirage 200C’s new radar framework is now (or very soon) being ported over to the F-15E which is very very promising as it is perhaps the best radar simulation in DCS atm (posted in the M2K discord channel)

Very ready for an Afghanistan map, though I do hope it encompasses almost the entire country and stretches down to the ocean for Strike Ops from a carrier (like in the image below). And for anyone that thinks the coords are about a C-130…. Seriously… there are tons of aircraft on the ramp at Bagram, and the coords are that of the old runway not a parked aircraft on an apron, additionally it heavily depends on what map service you use as they all have different satellite layers, but the coordinates always point back to Bagram. I think it’s pretty clear what they’re about.

You can have it simulate a different country. It doesn’t have to be the “South Atlantic” in your mission/campaign
-
Why? What would be the point of that given that we already have the whole of Cyprus on the Syria map

Ski’s have been in use for wayyyy earlier than 2015. Alaska is not the only place that gets snow…

Why are these [Not Planned] it’s a legit thing used by the US Army and other countries. Even if it’s just a cosmetic item it’s still very welcome. It would literally take half a day start to finish to make and add them.

I once again ask everyone to keep chat message out of here, and go to the discussion thread instead!! we also got another image of the SE sitting in front of a hanger
