Because it would be nice to populate bases with not just US stuff. You won’t see any US aircraft at RAF Akrotiri for example. And just in general it’s not just the US that’s there so it’s nice to have a larger pool of things, and let’s be honest, we only have 2 tankers that’s not a lot.

As mentioned above, it won’t be possible to find an image on it as it’s integrated into the COMM header/DED and doesn’t have it’s own Control Head. So I can just post an image of the box that it looks like but that is just useless, and that box is somewhere in the belly of the jet. what I was able to find is the following: Mark Fraker was a Chief Engineer on the F-16 between 2004-2007 where he helped integrate the UON of the ARC 210 from: https://daytonaero.com/wp-content/uploads/Fraker-Mark-03-18.pdf Additionally I was able to find an approval from the Oklahoma senate for FY08 ( again starts Sept. 2007) of $6 million to integrate it on their ANG jets. https://www.inhofe.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/inhofe-highlights-importance-of-defense-bill
-
So this is going to be difficult as there is no ARC-210 control head installed, it goes through the DED, but we’ll do our best
-
It was a genuine question, so I know what to look for when trying to get more evidence
-
Could you state what kind of extra evidence you are looking for, there is a mechanic that actually worked on the jet stating they were installing it ca. 2007. And then a press release from an airbase saying the same. How is that not good proof of it being installed back then?
-
I feel like we have provided a lot of evidence now. It’s dead clear it was there in 2007 and still is there
-
The first link about the Hill AFB Sqn literally states they deployed in August 2007 with the new ARC-210 radio. The second link also clearly states that in 2007 they were putting ARC-210’s on the jets at Shaw AFB. Additionally the quote also states they started installation in FY06 which starts in September 2005
-
Thanks looking forward to it being added in a future update
-
Here is all the proof that ED would need to add the radio, we have 2 articles, as well as a unclassified release stating the upgrading to ARC-210 in FY08 (which starts in september the year prior, so in our case September 2007) https://www.acc.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/202432/4th-fs-to-deploy-with-new-combat-capabilities/ https://www.hill.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/398017/f-16-upgrade-expands-radio-capability/

DCS: Roadmap (unofficial - NO DISCUSSION HERE)

Some new info/update on the F-15E from RAZBAM -
The Tristar was in service with the RAF until 2014 so would perfectly fit into the EF’s timeframe. And it’s always nice to have some more refueling assets that aren’t from the US.

Hope we can see this soon, defo a lacking capability at the moment
-
So for winter ops, AH-64’s can be equipped with ski’s (as shown below). It would be a nice/cool feature for our Apache to have as well, albeit a visual one only most likely, i figure this would take minimal dev time to model/get working on the module. Hope to see it added in the future as it would be great for snowy maps like Caucasus and the upcoming South Atlantic terrain
-
My burning wish is that Ugra redid all ED's maps and turn them into actual useful maps. right now literally all maps feature area's where nothing really happened
-
Great look at the exterior model in LOD0, look at how much interior detail can still be seem expect more stuff soon(tm)

correct as-is MGRS Coordinates not saving
FoxOne007 replied to FoxOne007's topic in Bugs and Problems
Now I'm more confused, why do you need the convert the same "problem" twice. you only need to convert it once then you can just back out. you don't even need to jump to the MGRS page to change Elevation. Also changing Elevation doesn't require the GRID to be converted again -

Hey @BIGNEWYcan you confirm wether the above is correct behavior or a bug? -

I might be confused, but for me it worked fine putting in the MGRS stuff into a blank steerpoint -

Just to confirm you did enter all details? Cuz when everything is filled out correctly dobbering down past ELEVZ does put it on the CNVRT for me -
Wow, what a rude comment. But if you wanna go down that route. Nobody cares what you think so why are you making a post about it in the first place

I really hope this gets added soon. It’s all kind of black magic atm and not really realistic at all

The one writing nonsense is you, WWII vs Modern is a completely different thing. Name one mission set the KW does better than the Apache that justifies it for the majority for the of people to be spending another $60+ on a helicopter that is less capable and has no multicrew when they already own the Apache. (We’re not talking about the small group of diehard KW fans here)

fixed What am I doing wrong to hit a moving target with a GBU-12 ?
FoxOne007 replied to JTFF-Marco's topic in Bugs and Problems
Looks indeed like SPI is somewhat broken, maybe @BIGNEWY or @NineLinecan confirm -
It only appears when HARMs are powered on (or in AG mode. Or a combination of both, I had it appear under one of those 2 conditions)

No thanks
