You have to select inner or outer pylons

Sounds like they're working fine. Basically works like this. 1 Bomb drops and opens up to drop parachuted sub munition 2 Submunition gets propelled upward after reaching ground 3 Multiple skeets eject out of sub munition, start spinning around seeking a heavy metal object 4 If found detonate and propel towards armored target a 20 second video of real thing Although they're altitude and wind corrected they're not a smart bomb....

** Heatblur Simulations - MiG-21 Backer Rewards! **
cthulhu68 replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Aren't those $ amounts referring to how much a backer contributed? EDIT; NM. I see what you're getting at. -
What I did for FC3 was set up one basic profile for throttle and flightstick. Click on each column then save each as stick or throttle. Switch to next plane profile you want to edit. Click on column you want to edit. stick or throttle Select load profile and choose corresponding saved profile You don't need to save them all. Just pressing OK at bottom saves.

OK. I guess it's working as it should. Thanks.

They wont show up in mod manager with fresh install but yes you can find them in your profile by logging in on DCS homepage.

I'm a little surprised they don't have a bundle package with plane either but I'll bet on the day of release they will. Maybe Normandy+asset pack+prop plane of your choice for 30% off.

I thought AP would work like most other planes and put me into alt./head. hold mode when pressing "A" but it seems to go to a steer to waypt type of AP. When pressing "A" again it doesn't disengage though lights go out on panel. I've also tried L ALT+A and L ALT+9 to disengage but that didn't do anything either. Only thing that worked thing that's worked is switching to ALT hold AP which seemed fine but once again when pressing "A" to get back to manual flight it goes back into dragging me to waypt. Has it always been like this or was default setting recently changed? Do I just have to choose AP type I want first then "A" will engage/disengage normally?

It's explained in the Weekend Update we're supposed to read before discussing here.;)

My chart was just pictures of bases I scribbled on paper. Kang pointed out the easiest way to know which end is which.
-
ATC will tell you which end to start from. Each end is numbered. Your kneebd lists airbases, runways, and numbers but I made up an easy to read sheet for reference.

Best Way to Show-Off/Show-Case DCS VR to Someone Who Does NOT Fly?
cthulhu68 replied to Gnat's topic in Virtual Reality
Your first idea is the way to go. Let them fly the A-10C. My friend, who's notoriously bad at driving, flying, or controlling anything in a video game environment was able to handle the A-10. I did spend some time explaining that subtle inputs where all that was needed and took off and flew around a bit to show how it's done. -
Not really a close encounter but memorable for me. I used to live a few miles from O'hare airport and would see and hear more planes than I could count every day. On the night of 9/11 it was eerily quiet with not a plane in the sky. I was outside talking with neighbor and his daughter was pointing up at the sky like she saw a plane. My neighbor says "No theres no planes in the sky tonight" but looking up I see that there where 2 blinking lights close together and moving twice as fast as anything I'd ever seen. They continued to fly around for a while circling around every 10 or 15 minutes and seeming to get lower and lower. I'd try to run out of my garage to see them but all I could see where long arcing contrails. I assume they where F-16's.I remember thinking they must be enjoying themselves flying around alone in whats usually a very congested airspace.

Not sure if this will work... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/ "I have a serial number for the module but I can't install it via Module Manager?"
-
Did you log in on main menu before going to module manager to activate A-10C? A box should appear saying you can install new module. If that's not happening go to DCS homepage. Log in and got o profile and enter serial number in where it says license check and bind to account. About the auto-logout...The website suffers from short term memory loss. Check the "remember me" box to stay logged in until you log out.

Sadly, its probably more lucrative to create some lame mobile phone game app then create a flight sim module.

Just need some specificity regarding the WWII assets pack
cthulhu68 replied to reyco1987's topic in DCS: WWII Assets Pack
In following a lot of these threads on this topic one of the biggest concerns seems to be that people buying Normandy map only wont realize that assets pack is also needed if you want to interact with WW2 era forces. Looking at the Normandy map module in ED store there really is no mention of assets pack there. Maybe it would be a good idea to inform people that assets pack can be bought separately. Those of us on forum are aware of this but others may assume map comes with grd units, planes, etc. -

cthulhu68 replied to reyco1987's topic in DCS: WWII Assets Pack
Without Assets pack you will only have/see what is currently available in DCS (modern grd forces and aircraft). -
Just so you know, if you've purchased modules through Steam they can be transferred over to work on ED DCS version, but anything bought through ED store cannot be used in Steam version. On day of release you will need to simply download Normandy and then enter in Serial number provided in Email you should have received.
-
What you just purchased is incompatible with steam version of DCS. YOU will need DCS 2.0 from ED download page to use Normandy.

Will tail gunners and turret gunners be functioning right away on B-17. I've only seen a picture of bombs dropping from one so far.

It is always 5degrees off. When tankers call their offset from bull it's right on thee money. Only thing I can think of is if Reaper can point to overhead markpoint instead of point on ground. As far as I'm concerned I can just adjust it 5degrees.
