  1. It's good to know you made her last days as comfortable as possible under these circumstances.
  2. Depending on the age and usage, I recommend cleaning the potis from time to time. I just recently had to clean mine as well. Depending on the software, there was an unpleasant jittering on almost any setting. After cleaningte values are back to normal. Be advised, though, that opening the housing breaks warranty. :-)
  3. The word is not simplified vs. hardcore but entry-level modules vs. in depth simulations. Its about time to give up elitism that sometimes shines through an accept that people have different interests and different amounts of time they can or want to invest into their hobby. If DCS appeals to all of them, we will all profit from it. My 2 cents.
  4. I guess that's not even in Belsimteks hands. DCS is not made for multicrew aircraft. There are probably a few things that have to be finished before it's possible for the UH-1. But... it will probably only be the FIRST multicrew aircraft.
  5. Great sim! Loads of fun flying this old-school-chopper.
  6. Is it available in the A-10C as well? Or can it be made available? :music_whistling:
  7. The trick really is to stop moving before it moves. A stick extension really helps for the Huey.
  8. A softer joystick surely is a great advantage when flying the UH1. But most of the corrections is a matter of experience, I think. If you pull here, you gotta push there. First flights were horrible, but it's definitely improving and the Huey is tons of fun. Thanks for this great module! :notworthy: PS: Can we have the kneeboard for all modules, please :)
  9. I'd say it offers faster gameplay. Much as modern shooters do. But this is not necessarily the best path for victory in every setting. I personally like the jet-option a lot. On the first look, this puts more pressure on the ground-units to keep moving. It makes many players basically attack faster. But with some experience and insight, it also makes a good defensive position even more important.
  10. It's not the map I'm looking forward to, well, not ONLY the map. What I am really excited about is the new engine that's behind that map. What it will look like. Can it overcome the limitations we see in the current engine? Nevada can be a great start for that, because this map is not just a desert. It's also Las Vegas. And I'm very much interested in how they represent such a large and colorful city in DCS.
  11. Feel better now?
  12. Yeah! Happy customers day for ED!
  13. I'm more interested in what it looks like and what it's capable of, rather than the actual locations being mapped. I'd guess that it was not the desert that made Nevada so difficult...
  14. "Automatic Updates" could be interpreted as updates available through the auto-updater, if read without the sentence left out. I just wanted to minimize missinterpretations. But I understand now, how this was included (looking at facebook) ;) Thanks for clarification.
  15. You should mark "AutoUpdates" as your interpretation. The statement is not refering to software-updates being released on a weekly basis.
  16. Thanks for the info. Good to know 1.2.4 is just around the corner.
  17. OMG - that's sad news. :( Thank you for everything you did for our hobby. Rest in peace.
  18. Other sim + loads of smoke + simulated shockwave (and I mean physical effect, not just damage) + flythrough + seriously (+ then still beta-phase). No or extremely low FPS-loss. ;) Hoping for the next patch to fix the smoke.
  19. Great video - as always!
  20. True. Save job. Unless he's the last man on earth ;)
  21. :megalol: Right on the mark.
  22. Demongornot, the problem is, that you can't change such a technology like flipping a switch. Currently, we have a rock-solid house built upon a nice basement. Yet there is no cellar. Of course, there are houses with a cellar. Even houses from Microsoft with a nice, giant cellar. People told you it's possibel, even with different rooms, but still this ED-house still has none. Now the problem is, that this is not a new house. It's a big old house and there are a lot of different things to consider. And you can just lift that house up, build a cellar and put it back on top. It simply doesn't work this way in our physical world and neither does it in software-business. If you want fundamental changes, you either need a lot of money and manpower and build it from scratch. Or you have to do it with one step after another. And that's exactly what they are doing.
