[ALREADY REPORTED] LTWS: Instant Missile Warning
BarTzi replied to Papa Saubär's topic in Bugs and Problems
You are missing a key point here. LTWS can not be used to guide a missile. LTWS will switch to either STT ot TWS upon launch (depends on your missile). It currently works for the AIM-7. TWS is not modeled yet, so what you are seeing is AIM-120 launched in VISUAL mode, which means the missile radar is activated on launch. You can do it without locking - it doesn't matter. The fact that you are tracking via LTWS does not matter at all here. As I understand it - it should trigger your RWR when the missile is launched. -
Love your work so fat Strut! I was wondering if you can include the livery of EL-AL (an Israeli airline) sometime in the future
-
They absolutely do not have a smoke trail or any kind of motor.

Why is the Viper getting TWS before the Hornet?
BarTzi replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
You went from 0 to 100 real quick over one sentence. Me, my friends and many others here are paying customers. That's called *supporting* the developer. You don't put food on the table with positive forum comments. We paid for the Hornet and other products ED has made over the years, and are allowed to voice our opinions and concerns, even if they don't align with yours, as long as we are respectful and follow the forum rules. No one thinks ED is "out to destroy their lives", this is just a false statement that has nothing to do with what I wrote. -
Why is the Viper getting TWS before the Hornet?
BarTzi replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
That's the point. We don't know when that guy will get back to the Hornet. It can take a week, a month, maybe two. Who knows. Can we complain? heck yeah. -
A small request: Currently, all static objects are placed horizontally. If the slope is not that big (like 15-10 degrees or less), please let us snap it to the terrain. This will prevent a situation in which 3 corners of a tent touch the ground and the fourth one is hovering.
-
This is from the T45, which has a different HOTAS setup (not sure if it even has any missiles available). For the Hornet, it's TDC depress :) Also - just a quick note: this is not SPOT mode.

2 months since TGP release and today's OB was...
BarTzi replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
They are probably focusing on Viper bugs and, want to push an update to the stable branch. No one can tell when the Hornet will take priority at the moment. -
Currently, TTI is available only for bombs dropped in AUTO (CCRP) mode. Does the real plane support TTI for A/G missiles and GPS guided weapons?

When you start from the ground and display the first dispenser program after taking off, it will falsely display a row of zeroes ( 0 chaff, 0 flares, 0 intervals 0 repetitions), while actually the first program releases 1 chaff and 1 flare every 10 seconds. If you cycle the programs from the first to the fifth and then back to the first, it will show program 1 as intended. Track is attached. dispender program 1 .trk

[REPORTED]Wingmen HAFU brightness controlled only by the AMPCD
BarTzi replied to Harker's topic in Bugs and Problems
Can confirm this is an ongoing issue with some other symbology elements as well (SAMS for example) -
As mentioned in the last Viper mini-update, you will not be able to set the laser code of laser-guided bombs within the cockpit of the F-16 (as should be). Which makes me wonder- will we see a redesign of this system in the Hornet (and possibly the A-10C) and the removal of the option to set the code from within the cockpit?
-
As long as the external model is still being worked on, making a template is useless because it will keep changing until the model is complete. As for the Hornet - they released the template before they released the plane.
-
If you input a laser code to a GBU and then go to the MAV-E page (obviously - you have to carry both the missile and a laser-guided bomb), the GBU code will be listed under 'codes' (lower right corner of the MAV-E page), which might be a little bit confusing. Additionally, that code will not clear out even if you drop that GBU. The track is attached. MAVE code display GBU code .trk

It's very rare that I get the new LSO comms. Most of the time it's just the normal airfield style one.

[NO BUG]Some TGP HOTAS controls are conflicting with MAVF display
BarTzi replied to BarTzi's topic in Bugs and Problems
You mean, that this is intended? That's how it works in real life? sounds like bad system design. -
When bringing up both the TGP page and the MAVF seeker page, some Hotas functionality\shortcuts for the TGP will not work \ conflict with the MAFV seeker page. For example: When both are displayed on the DDIs, Raid/FOV (change to flir, flir type, narrow or wide) will not work for the TGP regardless if it is "Soi" or not - instead, it will work for the MAVF seeker page. Changing from white-hot to black-hot via the TGP display will also change the MAVF seeker page to the same modes. Track attached. TGP and MAVF .trk

FEDS is always displayed, even if 'SIM' mode is not engaged (even when you are actually shooting). FEDS .trk

I know that video, but I'm talking about the moments in which you are taking fuel. We are not crossing the wake on purpose and placed slightly lower than the tanker itself. It doesn't look like these guys are having any trouble with it at all. This is why I was hoping some real-life Hornet pilots can shed some light on this and provide some tips or insights.
-
I get the same drift/roll to the right while making contact with the basket (constantly have to push the stick and fight with it while I'm taking fuel). Was wondering if it is the way it is supposed to be, and how the real pilots deal with it (rudder? trim?). Hopefully, some pilots can provide inputs :)

But TOO mode does benefit from it.

[FIXED INTERNALLY] F10 view altitude is wrong.
BarTzi replied to BarTzi's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
Same position as in the ME. Over the tank. -
Hi guys. Just reporting that since 2.5.5 the altitude that is shown when you move the cursor over the map is not very accurate, and different to the one displayed in the mission editor. For example: ME says this tank is currently over 7K feet ASL. https://imgur.com/7PyqTtj F10 map view Says it's at 305 feet. https://imgur.com/Ykm9Zxh
