  1. Exactly the app I was thinking about. The name escaped me though. I have not paid for it.
  2. Well, that's still 80Mbps, which is 40 times what I had back in ≈2005. Whenever there are texture updates, there will be huge updates if they add new or swap out the old ones. I can't think of any other way to do it. Maybe someone will come up with some sort of dedupe tech down the line. Maybe when the world map drops some sort of stream/cache can be achieved for the standalone maps too.
  3. Exactly this! Yup, those are rumble effects, common in handheld console controllers, and should be called as such.
  4. Yeah, I'll look for some. I believe one user here has both. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  5. Really? A quick search on YT threw a bunch of hits. It seems to be praised a lot. Watched a direct comparison a while back, that also tested it in DCS, while unfortunately most other reviews have racing in focus obviously. Price has dropped from ≠USD350 to ≠USD220 here in Norway now. So I guess I'm getting one. The name escapes me, but I think there's another software that works with it in DCS too, while it's not free. Cheers!
  6. Unless I misunderstand your perception of being burned with the South-Atlantic map. I'll repeat in this thread as many others before me. The SA map was never made by Razbam. Just published through them, and is still receiving updates. And let's not forget, that "same" team is making the Kola map, but now under ORBX, one has to wonder why, right?
  7. Do you have VoiceAttack? I made a speech command to start and stop, and is forced to send to the Nvidia app, and circumvent DCS. Please don't ever do that, even with "screenshots" as quality will be sh*te. There are even apps in Windows already that can do this.
  8. On a spinning hardrive, absolutely if it needs to access from several partitions at once. Not so with an SSD.
  9. @CTB Don't bother to partition the drive. There will be no benefits whatsoever. Just have the games in different folders like you've planned. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  10. No stress! Enjoy your summer! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, like Raven mentions, I use VoiceAttack, which is pretty cheap and well worth it. There's a free plugin for DCS called VAICOM which makes you talk to ATC/tankers/JTAC etc. without using the radio menu at all. It will even distinguish between modules, so I can have one command ie. "close cockpit", that will press different keystrokes depending of the module like planes vs. helicopters. Cheers!
  12. @SnowTiger No hassle! Can't check the track myself anyway at this time, while someone else might be able to. From the top of my head it could be a INU/alignment issue perhaps. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  13. In every movable peripheral I have. Don't have any WW stuff though, while I assume it will work perfectly there as well. Cheers!
  14. To get honest I've never noticed if they are animated or not. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  15. I see. I have the campaign, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for the tip! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  16. [emoji1787] Spot on, my autocorrect is completely evil when I'm not wearing glasses! [emoji1] I guess lawn mover sim would just be another type of farming/gardening sim. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  17. Haha! I find him "adequate" when I tell him to take control for very short periods. Apart from that I agree. Are the gunners useless again? Got hooked on "I love this" job", and there neither is needed. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  18. Nah, it's more immersive to ask your buddy to close it. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  19. If you pre-ordered the map, you didn't get it for free, did you? Or are you talking about getting the campaign for free? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  20. This is the way! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  21. Ah, yeah! Forgot about those! [emoji1] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  22. VoiceAttack! [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  23. Don't remember if they are animated. Did you set the axis up as sliders, (and inverted IIRC). Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
