  1. Check out the last newsletter.
  2. Your question's a bit misleading because you're using two different units (US dollars versus British pounds). The actual difference is $49.99 (ED store) to about $43.50 (Steam). That said, I have no idea where the disparity is actually coming from.
  3. It's a lovely thought, but bear in mind that Wags has a long history of trolling us all with random avatar images. :D
  4. Lol! You probably need to read the rest of the thread. :D (Hint: It appears that it's the Su-27's MFD in a radar mode that isn't supported in the current DCS implementation)
  5. Excellent work, guys. Your dedication to providing the best possible experience is hugely appreciated.
  6. The plot thickens... :sly:
  7. Mystery solved! Thanks Skate. :detective:
  8. HOLY CRAP!!! :huh: :cry::megalol: http://dereklow.co/what-its-like-to-fly-the-23000-singapore-airlines-suites-class/
  9. Gah! That just makes it all even worse!
  10. Told you I had terrible eyesight. :D What am I looking at, then? Am I going to feel horribly shamed and embarrassed when I find out?
  11. anybody know what Wags's new avatar is? Am I reading too much into Wag's new forum picture, too? Looks a lot like a US helicopter MFD to my poor, untrained eyes... :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129630
  12. Excellent news. I'm really looking forward to diving into the campaign, but I'll been holding off until the manual's made available. Now I might just wait until the manual AND EDGE become available. :)
  13. That we know of... ;)
  14. This.
  15. A very quick look at the Official Announcements section will tell you everything you need to know. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129630 DCS World 2 is effectively just a new patch/update. It's the fact that it delivers the new EDGE graphics engine that's made ED denote it 2.0 as opposed to 1.3 (which is what it was originally slated to be called). Your modules are not about to become outdated.
  16. Looking good. Can't wait to get my hands on it. :)
  17. DCS World is the base package. It's the totally 100% free "core" of the DCS series. DCS World comes with the Su-25T Frogfoot and TF-51D Mustang as free introductory aircraft to give you a feel for the DCS series. Everything that you buy plugs into this, so DCS World is all that you need in order to run any of your modules. Any time you buy a new module such as the A-10C, the UH-1, the Mig-21 and so on, you just need to authorize it through the Module Manager in DCS World. You enter your Licence Key and you're good to go. Flaming Cliffs 3 is the one slight oddity/outlier in the current DCS universe in that it's a collection of aircraft which includes the A-10A, the F-15C and a few others. It's still just a purchasable module that gets activated through the Module Manager, though. Hope that helps.
  18. Unfortunately not. It's actually a really good idea, though. That would have helped me hugely way back when I was first learning how to use realistic air to air radars in sims.
  19. Those are the exact same two maps I want and for the exact same two reasons. It's certainly very pretty and varied over here, but there aren't too many plausible wartime scenarios that spring to mind.
  20. Only twenty two pages of it... :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130320 I believe it's been fixed now. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130391
  21. Yep. I'm enormously impressed with the Mig-21 and I'm not normally a fighter guy. One of the very best simulated aircraft I've ever experienced and the documentation and tutorialization is exceptional, too.
  22. I think you're missing something. DCS World is the "main game". All of the various aircraft modules (P-51, Mig-21, F-86, UH-1, Mi-8) effectively "plug into" DCS World. You can't use any of those modules without DCS World. As for the maps, the Caucasus is the only map that is currently available for DCS World. As cichlidfan pointed out, we have the Nevada and Straits of Hormuz coming some, but it's just the Caucasus for now.
  23. Fantastic work, guys. Hugely appreciated.
  24. Excellent! Thanks a lot, guys.
  25. Ha! That was genius! :D
