but whats ICLS channel? it was not in S&D briefing...
-
@Rmnsvn First of all you have to keep target in radar cone until TTI will start flashing (54 gone active), secondly try to be below target (so radar looks up) at all times to makes it easier for AWG9 to track it. if track is crossed out that means that AWG9 lost target and now it only guides missile to last known position and speed of target. Chance that missile will never go active is much higher
-
aaah so that would explain it. I always wondered why not T80s...

@Alpenwolf Ok i did some tests, and aside of bugged alignment itself (waypoint 0 overwrites A/C coordinates instead of other way around) it seems that CCIP do work. So I guess its BlueFlag scripts breaking the jet or something. Is it possible to enable the TACAN and ICLS for carrier to make carrier landings easier? (on Search & Destroy would also be nice )
-
If GPS is not available (mission set before 1994 and SATNAV is not enforced) then when aligning on supercarrier module using CV CBL there is an issue with waypoint 0. F-18 does align properly - A/C coordinates are correct and they are properly changing with CV movement, but as soon you move NAV Mode to NAV then waypoint 0 coordinates overwrite A/C coordinates making whole alignment pointless. Only way to fix it is to type in A/C coordinates to waypoint 0 manually, but of course you cant be super precise on moving carrier as those change in the same time. Shouldn't A/C coordinates overwrite waypoint 0 and not other way around as it is currently? Attaching track F-18 No GPS INS CV.trk
-
@Alpenwolf exactly that. DCS actually simulates existence of GPS satelites and if mission is set before that date and GPS (SATNAV) always allowed box is unticked in options then F18 alignment is different (i think ED didn't implemented pure INS nav yet). without GPS F18 seem to have problems with even simple thing like CCIP for dumb bombs... Mavericks work fine though. Gonna do some testing now. On Blue Flag 80s, CCIP doesnt work...
-
Sounds awesome! But I have a question about mission date set in ME. As if its set before March 28th 1994 then GPS is not available and some F18 features (dont have F16 so Idk) are disabled/dont work

Jester stuck sometimes at PD-STT (try to lock with P-STT)
The_Tau replied to Papa Saubär's topic in Bugs and Problems
I read somewhere that in RL, RIOs didn't really "switch" from PDSTT to PSTT using button, but rather switch to Pulse Search (or vice versa) mode and relock "manually". -
I feel you man, I had same, had to be very disciplined with my Joy movements, until I upgraded my stick....
-
Sometimes in multiplayer, TACAN needle is stuck at 6 o'clock position on BDHI. It still gives range, and it works perfectly on Tacan page on HSD. I tried both Pilot or Jester Tacans, restarting it or BIT testing it. Only way to fix it seem to respawn from same slot
-
name of marker shows up in Jester menu
-
if you lock target with Pulse STT (PAL locks with PSTT) then missile will launch active from rail, you will not support it and you can go cold. If you lift ACM cover then 54 will also launch active along cross line on HUD
-
Ye its easly fixable but, isn't it concerning that sometimes this bug appears and sometimes not, in same instant missions?
-
I noticed same behaviour

I think 261 and 266 are blue farp frequencies and they emit that telegraph sound, its not hearable for other planes as you have to tune in to those freqs, but in FC3 planes you hear all freqs at once
-
On Price of persia, in A10A on al Ain there is very annoying telegraph sound in the background. Doesnt seem to stop at any time Seems like its freq 261
-
would be awesome a capability to create "small" FARPs to rearm small helos in field like gazelles, like move ammo truck there and you can rearm there
-
from same post "However, if directly above or below, the threat has to be significantly closer (compared to the horizontal plane) to pass the SNR threshold."
-
Is this fixed? I tried to press fire extingisher button and it doesnt seem to work - ENG FIRE EXT Advisory light doesnt come on and fire is still there, even when I slowed down to like 250 knots
-
On other hand, Pilot got 2 screens while RIO only one, and if RIO changes screen to TCS then TID is blacked out for everyone
-
It would make sense, if active finds target then missile is fully independent, and if target is lost in active then missile goes stupid
-
If you want popular, old school, hardcore experience you can't go wrong with Alpenwolf's Cold War 1947-1991 server. It's set around F5 vs Mig21 fights, sides are asymmetric NATO vs Warsaw Pact (+ middle east allies + Sweden ), mostly rear aspect IR missiles, limited inventory (airframes and weapons can run out), No artificial nav support (only on board systems or landmarks to navigate), GCI support, ground warfare support, helo support (they can set up sams, reinforce ground forces), some missions have bonus objectives which would unlock limited numbers of F14A and MiG29A. Keep in mind SRS is mandatory.
-
Nice! Maybe you should add that too Maybe on F-14A to make it more distinct from others
-
RAZBAM did made Tarawa and KC-130 for harrier, so it is possible

As it is in the video "...As pilot calls for sparrow shot, I never look down in the cockpit, I just switch to VSL, he [pilot] got a lock and call the shot, as he got all the information on HUD..."
