  1. So you're saying that having an option for it so each player can make their own decision depending on how prone they are for motion sickness is a bad thing? TIL! ;) And even tho I do understand your intent with the last statement, you're making it sound like it's your way ... or no way. It's not too hard to read the above in a way that can rub ppl the wrong way.
  2. I'll join the choir! I was just on my way out buying another 16GB since 16GB wasn't enough anymore to get on a populated MP-server. I was thinking "uhm, well. I guess it's the cost of 2.5" but after looking at this thread I came to my senses .... at least until someone from ED says this is by design ;P
  3. This will absolutely be my song :)
  4. Default keybinds are LCtrl+LWin+<letter> and for numbers LCtrl+LWin+<numpad number>.
  5. 1. Well, that's the thing with passwords in general. It's used to keep ppl out. If no info is given in the server or mission description on who or what to contact you're generally SOOL (shit out of luck) :) 2. Chat box is default tab (and left-shift-tab). You can rebind it if you want to and if my memory doesn't fail me it's called "multiplayer chat" in the keybindings.
  6. My thoughts was since I'm so cabled up anyway with the rift and my headphones one more cable wouldn't make much of a difference ... but each removed cable is a win I suppose :D
  7. Found a couple of trackpads that might work for its purpose. Anyone tried these out? https://www.amazon.com/Ergonomic-Touchpad-Extra-Large/dp/B0027DYGYO https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGB8MN2/ref=psdc_284719_t3_B0027DYGYO The latter might fit quite good on a kneeboard like this; http://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotStore/sep/10270
  8. I had the same error yesterday, but textures came back by itself after 10-15 seconds. No other input than turning my head and moving the mouse around.
  9. I'm facing the same issue but with the bottom middle 4-way hat (no. 9 in the list of buttons/switches in the manual). I've emailed VPC about it just a few hours ago, but thank you for providing the images! That will help me alot if they give me the green-light for a DIY-session :)
  10. Agreed, OC was my go to online server and I always had a blast in one way or the other. I'm sad to see it go, but I can certainly identify with the listed reasons. Thank you and take care! o7
  11. More of an anecdote and not a troubleshooting comment is that I had the same error the other day and after trying _all_ the settings found anywhere and resetting all kinds of thingamabobs .... it turned out I blocked my third (back) sensor. After I unblocked it all was back to normal again ^_^
  12. Very much not. It's higher fidelity and worn, like someone's actually been using the aircraft and so on. It's very very nice! :D
  13. IF the update is ready-to-go, which it seems to be according to those posts according to USSR_Rik's post on Oct 31st, how isn't this a super-duper-top-omfg-release-now-priority hotfix? Of the ~5 1.5.7-servers I've been playing on, all are affected. It's by definition a game breaking bug.
  14. Ofc is more difficult with no real depth perception (try AAR with VR for instance, it's a whole other game almost), no sensory feedback except for sight and hearing, not being able to pan with eyes and just not the entire head etc etc. But at the same time we have very predictable weather, very little to no turbulence ... so. well. I dunno man :) I can certainly agree with Yurgon on the whole clicking thing. I practiced it for a while with the earlier mentioned frustraion and not being able to get it right, often ending in gunsgunsguns or fox2, but one day I kinda got it. I stopped wobbling and kinda got the hang of making a minimal adjustment and shortly after counteracting that adjustment. Altho I only own the A-10C and the M2k, I _constantly_ adjust the throttle like when flying formation.

    refueling

Agreed. I have no IRL knowledge on fuel flows on the real deal things, but I also refueled in just over a minute being down to about 400kg fuel ... and it does feel fast. With my fitted external tank on that should be about 3700kg fuel in 68 seconds. If it's correct, holy crap :)
  16. It's like any other VoIP-software. Everyone that wants to talk to each-other needs to be connected to the same server.
  17. I'll just take your word for it and as usual won't hold my breath ;)
  18. Thanks for letting us know! I'll drown my pretend-disappointment at a metal festival in Cologne by the time of release. Next week it is! ;) Throttle and previously semi-revealed pedals would be pretty cool ... indeed!
  19. *F5's furiously* ;)
  20. Vitormouraa: got any source for that? I for one would LOVE some improvements in this area ... just haven't seen they've actually said they were going to do anything about it.
  21. Can't wait for them getting on Amazon. I'll be ordering a complete stick with mounts as soon as they're available! :)
  22. I'd be surprised if they don't utilize SteamVR/OpenVR API's for Fallout 4. It seems like the biggest point for not mentioning the Rift in the marketing for F4VR is the "battle" between ZeniMax and Oculus. If they go so far that they actually lock Oculus users out ... well, it just doesn't seem likely to me :) If you're referring to the green-lit HL2: VR mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=923491647) it's not Vive exclusive. It's being made for Vive and Rift. But no matter where we are on the two mentioned titles I can't say I share your view. I've tried quite a few titles from both Steam and Oculus Store and I haven't found one actually enjoyable title that was lacking proper Oculus support.
  23. @mastersetter: Absolutely. Incredibly annoying and haven't been able to figure out why it's only the TGP. Not even sure where to start looking next for continued troubleshooting tbh.
  24. I whole-heartedly support Oscar Juliets statement. Not even once either during SP or MP has a russian MANPADS triggered the MWS for me, and friends report the same findings. During 1.5.5 I made a simple SP training mission where I placed an A-10 at 3000ft and moved the MANPADS in a circle from 12 all the way around back again. I then moved the scenario so I could start messing around with altitudes a bit better so I got shot between everything from below to from above (and combine that with from all "o'clocks" ;P). It took me a "few" hours to do all this, but not even once did the MWS alert me. After 1.5.5 I've done a simpler and quicker tests (mainly getting fired shot from where, according to IRL documents, there shouldn't be any blind spots) and still, no warnings even in 1.5.7 stable-branch. In MP no matter what version I've just never gotten any warning and any dodges has been pure luck, but I've never done any systematic REAL tests in MP. Other systems does warn it's just the frikkin' MANPADS for me.
