DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion

Doublely so now we are getting new prop textures as well. those 2 Merlins are gonna look magnificent with the new tech. -
Must admit i would only like to see one thing turn up. the ability to fly proper slicks. No weapon mounts, apart from the door gunners, and NO sighting equipment in the pilot or co pilots location.

Ok so today was the day I popped my MP cherry so to speak. I’ve never used a public server in DCS in the last decade I’ve been flying in the sim. What can I say. Damn guys well done. That was stunning fun. Multicrew worked a treat, 3 of us in a Huey with the bloke in back counting us down to casualties was just amazing. Seriously immersive.. more so as initially the server was running at sunset, so started the rescue at dusk, and completed it in darkness. Great to see another rescue chopper working the same area and doing a searchlight scan as well. think it’s fair to say, we will become regular users of this server. a huge thanks to all that have put it together.
-
Thankyou. If it’s only one report, I won’t worry to much. If it gets to bad, we can all jump into individual aircraft.
-
Hi guys, thinking bout trying this server out tomorrow evening, it’s sounds amazing. Quick question, in regards to the Huey, but does the server allow the full Multicrew function to work. would be great working as a team to get a rescue complete.

Cheers for the review @dburne it’s always good to hear from those in our community who actually have used items rather than just listening to the company. Not that I don’t believe MFG in anyway. I love my pedals and he was a joy to deal with, but it’s always good to get 3rd party reports as well. im waiting on mine to be delivered, ordered the V1 / V2 upgrade last week when they came back into stock. never used any thing hydraulically dampened before, but I’ve only ever heard good things about it, hence I took a gamble. After reading this post, I do think the gamble is gonna pay off.

Actually it means the complete opposite and the the internal R and D controls have worked. They have picked up an issue during pre launch testing and have prevented the product being released with the issue. IF they released with the issue, I can be sure the same people moaning about the delay now, would be the same ones complaining about why was the product allowed to be released with the issue. I don’t know about you, but I know which route I would prefer they take.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. In that case I will follow closely and hope for a decision to be made soon. I have money for 2 Mossie burning a hole in my pocket. Promised my bro one for Christmas. But if you guys do go down the pre order route rather than early access, I can promise you I’ll be sending you my money within seconds of it going live.

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion

Ahhhh damn, was afraid of this with the lack of info turning up. However at least we can be sure the Ed are taking this release seriously and want to do the mosquito justice. It looks like they won’t stand for 2nd best, so on the positive we know our bird is in safe hands. Disappointing and disappointed yes, concerned or worried about the project I’m most certainly am not. All I want is for them to do this right, and honestly I’ve ever pay confidence they will. -
Hi there, while it’s fair to say I’m disappointed to hear the Mosquito has been delayed, may I say a huge thanks to yourself and the team, for being brave enough to hold up your hands, and admit there’s an issue, and delay the release so it can be fixed prior to the release. It’s great to hear that you guys are doing this amazing aircraft justice. I was also wondering that as it has been delayed and now pushed back till after the Hind release, are we now likely to see a pre order become available. I know when this was mentioned after the hind went on pre order, you guys stated that there wasn’t enough time for that and it would go straight to early access as it was almost here. That obviously is now no longer the case. As the Hind has gotten pre order, and that is now scheduled to be released prior to the Mossie, according to the blog a few days ago I believe, would you guys consider letting us give you our money to pre order this amazing bird.

Just found this out after he posted a you tube video about it. Sadly it looks like you all beat me to the punch, as the V1 / V2 conversion kit is now out of stock. However I think it’s gonna be an instant purchase once they come back into stock. Will be very interested to see how much of a difference it makes to your setups.

Yep preordered fir both myself and my best mate. Sadly I noticed I sent his to the wrong account. Dooohhhh i hope customer service can sort out my mistake. Otherwise some random person has just got a free Hind.

Maybe but I would be surprised if they are. The pre purchase thing has worked for years for them. Ref patience. Hell I’m a star citizen backer, and have an abundance of patience. best things come to those who wait, and this will be the best WW2 module yet. -
Oculus Link crashing only while playing the F14

Having exactly the same issue, used to work fine but after latest update VR is pretty much unusable. Although Brother who is on a quest AND link cable is running fine, so i don’t know if it’s a quest 2 thing or what. Seen several posts of people complaining bout the same issue. Hope£ully they will fix it soon for us all. -

Sadly another newletter passes and another week without news. I know ED will be doing there best to get this wonderful aircraft to us, but god I just wish we could get one sliver of news or info about the progress. Must admit I was hoping pre order would be live this month. -

Interesting, not installed antivirus yet. Guess it could be windows firewall or windows antivirus not touched them -

Here’s the one for my current download. autoupdate_log.txt -
Hi guys, just built a new pc and I’m doing a fresh install of DCS and it’s modules. Having a slight issue at mo, where my downloads will start, get upto 7.2MB/s for about 30 seconds and then drop back down to 0.0KB/s for 45 seconds or so. And it just keeps doing that pattern. obviously it’s increasing my download time significantly, not to mention being downright annoying. Downloading from other sites and Steam there is no issue whatsoever. The download gets upto speed and sits there until it’s complete. Anyone got any ideas what the smeg is going on? Been using and updating DCS for years and not seen this on any other system I have. The image is from my current installer as it’s updating the log at the mo. as you can see each stop results in a message stating got incomplete data for mod xxxxxxxx resuming.

Hi guys, I’ve been asked to learn the Rio position in the F14, as my bro wants to do some Multicrew missions. Now while I have sat in that seat what the jet was first released, I found try to learn the backseat in single player very very frustrating as the pilot AI is extremely basic. I did spend hrs sat at the end of a runway with targets setup to approach me at different levels and distances to try and teach myself basic use of the radar, but while I found I could track them in that situation. The moment I went flying, I could detect or track a darn thing. So I’m wondering what methods are other RIOs using to teach themselves the backseat ready for MP. I appreciate that there’s been a lot of changes to the functionality of the systems as well since i last sat in the chair, and it’s offputting to say the least.

Here is another vote for a Post Tram variant. As it’s early early days of development, and the Tram system is quite an old system, I’m hoping it will be possible for Heatblur to develop it.

Cheers all. I’ve gone in the end for Viacom and the interactive kneeboard, which seems to do a lot of what I’m after, I’ve also been offered some amazing help by Weegie, who has very generously offered to do a VA profile for me to do exactly the functionality I’m after. Huge thanks to everyone who has offered advice, it truly is most appreciated.
