  1. There is, but sadly the problem is still there whether this is ticked or not
  2. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else is having issues using the CV1 headphones and DCS after updating to the latest Oculus Patch? Before the patch everything worked fine, now however the audio works on the headset right upto the point I load into DCS. At that point I lose all audio through the headset. IF I use external speakers only the audio works fine, if I exit DCS I get audio back through the rift. I’ve tried setting it up so the pc only uses the rift headset exclusively but again all works fine right upto the point I enter DCS.. I’m at a complete loss at what to try next, I’m guessing it’s some kind of audio pass through issue. Just wondering if any other CV1 users have the same issue, or is it purely me.
  3. I don’t think people want more. They just want what was promised years ago when we pre ordered the Huey in good faith. Everything stated it would have Multicrew. A Hueys crew consists of 4 positions, so naturally is not surprising that people want 4 positions. Show me where on any of the adverts, or on the shop page where it states the Huey will come with PART Multicrew. So if Multicrew is advertised on a ship with more than 2 crew, then yes I do expect that ALL positions will be useable in a MP environment.
  4.:thumbup: This. Don’t get me wrong, having a full Multicrew cockpit is great, and a huge leap forward. But it’s still not the full crew on the Huey. Having gunners, who can protect the craft and wTch the rotors and tail on tight landings and obviously the swing load would be extremely beneficial to the operation of this ship. There’s a reason a helo crew has a loadmaster in the back.
  5. Loving it completely. After cutting my combat flying teeth on a certain other F16 sim way back in the 90s, seeing this cockpit again in a sim felt like coming home. You guys did a stunning job. Yes there’s still a lot of work to do and a lot of mfd menus and systems still missing. But she already feels like a winner. Personally I’m very impressed and surprised just how quick I remembered how to use this aircraft. One very very happy customer here.
  6. Hi guys, need a hand here. Have these exporting great to my mfd screens, But I seem to have a slight issue when I’m using Tid relay on the HSD when I’m flying, in the flat I’m getting a double image on the screen. It’s almost like it’s exporting both the HSD image and the RIO TID image at the same time and over laying them on the same screen. This only happens when I’m in the front seat and select TID relay. Any ideas how to correct this so it only displays the HSD monitor in the front seat?
  7. Latest open beta version.. Look guys, don’t get me wrong I love the Huey and consider it one of the finest helo simulations ever produced, BUT after 6 years I think we have to accept that further development and any promised features that are not here by now are likely not happening. Now for those of you who still hold onto the dream that it will happen, fair play to you, you’re a hell of a lot more optimistic than me. Myself I’m now in the believe it when I see it area of this journey. All I was doing was giving MY opinion on whether or not we will get Multicrew for our Helos, which I no longer believe we will. I still fly the Huey at least twice a week, I still get immense joy out of it despite the odd bug, if they released a V2 like the KA50, I would purchase in a heartbeat. But my reply’s here are purely my opinion on the ops question.
  8. Not a false statement at all, Its my stated opinion. I do believe they have moved on, and I don’t believe they will be fixing the remaining issues or implementing Multicrew. After purchasing both modules on first day pre orders, I think it’s fair to say I have been patent. In fact it was me who mentioned the Multicrew back in 2017, and had the statement back that it was only a matter of months before it was here barring any major disasters. Since then nothing. We still have no working searchlight, the anti collision light still bleeds through the cockpit, Multicrew is still MIA, to name a few issues and all bugs that we have coped with since day one over 6 years ago. I’m not slagging off Belsimtek, and I appreciate that teams do move on, sadly before everything is complete. I fly the UH-1 frequently and if they have made bug fixes or implemented new features this year, I’ve honestly not seen anything to suggest that is the case. I’m sure we may see a Huey Mk2 somewhere down the line as it is a popular module, and I fully expect we will be asked to pay for any upgrades it comes with ala the KA50 module, but as to the one we fly now. My opinion is she’s is now the finished product, bugs and minus Multicrew
  9. Honestly, I no longer believe we will ever see Multicrew in either modules. It’s a huge pity and it was one of the major attractions to buying the modules. But Sadly I think Belsimtek has moved on. I don’t believe they have any interest in fixing any remaining bugs or implementing the still missing features of our beloved Helos. Of course if they do, I’ll place money that it would be via a V2 version that will count as a new module and therefore a new purchase, ala KA50.
  10. Thankyou for creating this mission. I found it for the first time the other day, and since then ive lost hours flying this in VR. It has to be one of the best Huey missions ive ever used. There’s something immensely satisfying flying medivac, and with the amount of take off and landing that are involved in this mission, my landings and approaches are improving significantly. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to fly slicks or just wants a break from blowing stuff up.
  11. highly recommend teh simcity mission packs. amazing immersion. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305971/
  12. Damn Chuck, You DID it, you managed to get permission. You’re the man, what a amazing surprise. thankyou.
  13. You lucky lucky so and so’s. Mine is still showing in transit for delivery tomorrow. The only day I’m out all blooming day Sod’s law. Really can’t wait to use it mind you, i already enjoy the hornet, and I’m sure this will addd to that enjoyment
  14. That’s my dream as well, I would happily pay handsomely for a full on coop campaign i an play with my mates. I will certainly be giving this a try mind you, it looks stunning
  15. oh he does indeed, Just makes me even more impressed with his flying skills.
  16. Oh I was very happy to hear A2A was looking at a Partnership with ED. I use their products exclusively when P3D, no other product comes close for GA flying. IF they were to bring their B17 with accusim to DCS, man that would be a dream come true. Although I was rather surprised to see our Matt confined to a wheelchair, I had absolutely no idea that he was in one.
  17. Unknown, they've not mentioned about the gimble, other than it’s compatible with the Warthog and Cougar. Think they might have a hard sell though, considering the price of the stick is almost the same as the gamble AND stick of the Warthog.
  18. Ok in that case, I’ll hang on for the update, thanks for the quick work.
  19. Wags himself commented only last page, and nine lives before that. The VR optimising is NOT in this patch, but they are hoping to get it to us for the near future, once they can track down the problem.
  20. Personally i started on 747 on the BBC Micro
  21. Ok thanks for letting us know mate. Hate to see what the patch size would have been if they made it in. :megalol: Best things are worth waiting for.
  22. Well considering a patch is made of code, what exactly are you expecting to see? The graphics will stay the same, the aircraft won’t magically turn into robots. Just look at the long list of bug fixes to get an idea how much was fixed.
  23. Wow, Janes. I loved their sims, Pretty sure I had all of them on the Amiga. But will agree, what we have now is a whole different ballgame significantly for the better.
  24. Hi all, well despite having a VR headset since the DK2 days, I’ve have only ever used it for pleasure flights in the Huey, due to the clarity not being good enough for me to spot any targets let alone fight with it. Anyway long story short, I upgraded to the S a few days ago, and since the clarity is significantly improved I’ve been flying DCS in it exclusively, since it has made such a difference. Last night I decided to take up a spitfire and do a flight over Normandy, using the excellent into the Inferno mission generator considering it is the 75th anniversary, and during this flight I became engaged with 2 FW190s. What can I say, dogfighting in VR, has to be one of the most engaging, immersive and damn right tiring experiences I have ever had in my entire gaming and simming life. Trying to follow, while moving your entire body, keeping the other aircraft in sight and getting a successful attack takes a lot of work I’ve found. Now while I may not of survived the encounter, due to a lucky hit by the 190, one round, just one round hit the side of my canopy and hit me in the head, during a tight left turn. I came out of it, beaming from ear to ear. THIS is what VR is about, THIS is what simming is meant to be like. If you’ve never tried it, I can not recommend this enough. The future is bright, the future is VR. :pilotfly:
  25. Not really. You still have a working DCS, it stills runs fine in VR, and we’ve been using VR as it currently is for years. So what’s frustrating about missing a improvement that we haven’t needed for years. Yes it will be fantastic when it turns up, and might mean we can go up a notch or two in the graphical settings, But it being delayed isn’t going to make any difference to your current enjoyment of DCS.
