skyrim looks like crap. the art design would only appeal to idiots. now witcher 2 is an rpg for real men.

http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/tkoh_hindslaunch_1280x800_3_4.jpg lol the graphics are horrible. look how washed out and low res the cockpit is.
-
yep, all they managed to come up with. totally looks like mw1 or something. 16bit graphics.
-
no they shouldn't. why put money into ed's competitor? if you can fly fsx, you can fly dcs and vice versa. there's no need to buy 2 sims when they do the same thing. dcs just has additional things related to military. you can still learn to fly in dcs.

i see this screenshot and think trickery and photoshop. then i pay admission fee and see for myself. the pre-alpha is amazingl polished and the game really looks that good. best part. it is a sim, not arcade nonsense like need for speed, gt5, forza, grid, etc.
-
wait till outerra can do dcs blackshark, then compare. thank you. :music_whistling:

some of these complaints are i don't know...grossly exaggerated? no, too harsh. i'll settle for just wrong. the game looks excellent, visual style, design, graphics, etc. i love how the lasers reflect on the water. and how lasers can literally slice the paint off the mechs and etch a groove on the armor. it's using cryengine 3 and it shows. beautiful game.
-
heh that's all digital. it would be easier, actually. plus the task is divided between 2 people.
-
lol below poverty with mouth to feed, but playing games on a computer? sorry, had to say it.
-
meh, know any other mech warrior games coming out? we don't exactly have a choice. i will say the mech design is a huge improvement though. atlas looks fierce. can't wait to see their take on classics like madcat. they certainly have the skill to make it great.

i cannot grow full mustache. all my hairs grow in between penis and anus unfortunately. wish it were other way around.
-
meh. graphics could be better
-
bs. helicopters require a lot more finesse to control accurately.

online is unstable and stutters a lot, crashes, etc so i don't do it as often as i'd like. on the point of sterile environment, i don't think some prettier campaign profile pictures will do it. i think you should address what lies in the word itself, "environment". while the world can look quite pretty, it sometimes is very disappointing to see how weakly the hills and mountains are done. sometimes almost 90 degree angles and pyramids. other things to consider:realistic humans and wildlife. better coastlines.

looks like their answer to battlefield 3, since that game is set in a fictional iranian conflict. and didn't these islamofascinet ****wits execute a game developer recently? i bet he was killed for refusing to work on this piss poor impression of an already terrible game.
-
you can't get an e, it's too new. that's not a flaw on his part, but rather clever and realistic.
-
meh. project cars is all you need to care about. fully pc, dx11, crowd sourced sim. http://www.wmdportal.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/029.jpg yes, that's in-game. i can only take a guess and say that's dx11's tessellation because i have never seen such level of polygonal detail in a game before.

anyone who professes their support for ed needs to stop pretending that the saturation of the sim market with the likes of "flight" is going to be a good thing for ed. that's my main point. if it wasn't for military sponsorship, instead of dcs:flying legends, we'd probably be having our own dcs: flight. just keep thinking that coexistence is possible, right up until the extinction of the realistic sim. look at what 777 software stoops to in order to compete in the market. aiming sights and colored scarf dlcs. sigh.. that wasn't necessary just a fear years ago. i remember when everyone used the same "everyone wins" argument on the tom clancy game forums right before everything became casualized/consolized. ghost recon turned arcade? it's ok, we still have rainbow six. rainbow six converted into a silly mess? it's okay, we still have splinter cell. and so on... ridicule and criticize it like a true sim enthusiast should while the last bastion still stands. microsoft flight is abject garbage, and i wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. that design philosophy of low cost, low quality, high bottom line will be the death of sims and pc gaming in general. you think they make easy games for the good of the casual gamer? they invented that demography so they can sell low quality, low production cost, highly advertised games to them. so you go ahead and do the sweet talking "everyone's a winner" platitude, i'm done with that nonsense. and people who are intimidated by a game/sim...i can't begin to describe how pathetic that is. why do you play sims/games if you don't want to be challenged?
-
dcs has a game mode which makes the game a lot easier than the average sim, so i don't buy it for one minute. but even if that was true. how many are in this crowd for it to be such a good thing and have a tangible impact on server population, that we should praise microsoft for the free advertisement? microsoft just turned the most enduring sim in history into aerial disneyland. this isn't a situation that can be brushed off with delusional wishful-thinking. crap like "flight" should be despised and laughed at. there is no mutually beneficial relationship here.
-
again with that stupid argument. people either like flght sims or they don't. making a dumbed down version of it isn't going to populate the dcs servers.
-
i have, all of the dirt strip landing challenges in fact and i can say without a doubt it's still an arcade piece of garbage. wind is only one ingredient of a proper simulation. and the fact that you flew a cargo flight suggest you already payed for the dlc planes. therefore you can obviously no longer be impartial as you have to justify your purchase. objectivity>self interest. the game is rubbish. end of story.
-
a-10=su-25 we need an su-34. if you don't like sitting passenger, then fly as pilot with ai. no one's forcing you.
-
js is right. we want su-27/33 so ed can win nobel prize
-
probably because realistic options=1600 microsoft points. pay up.

i wonder what he's so excited about. the prospect of doing great violence to a series loved by a great number of sim players, or the prospect of reaching a larger "casual audience" and thus increasing the flow of revenue.
