  1. Well I think the Syria map could go 1 of two ways... It could take a more modern route and model the Syrian Civil War, thus including Icirlik or it could go a more Arab-Israeli War route and be a phantom playground! Although it could (hopefully) be both! F-4's and F-15's or even A-4's over the Bekka Valley would be amazing!!
  2. Thanks a lot ED! I came to DCS a year ago this month and this is quite the amazing treat!!
  3. P-51D Single Mission on Normandy-Battle of Buron Just a fun single mission I found in the ED forums! Like to the thread in the video description!
  4. Will the pilot logs be transferred to 2.5? If not where in the saved games files are the pilot logs? I have been unable to find them. Thanks guys!
  5. I think because its a game having a few experimental weapons such as Zuni's on the F-14 could be pretty cool!
  6. I was plinking around on google maps looking at the georgian landscape and maps. I looked at Kabuleti beach and then saw the X runways just inland from the beach and saw that it was called Kobuleti Airport... Why is this not an active runway in DCS? is it because it is too small of a runway for jets? I think it could be a fun little airport to fly Warbirds or the Yak-52 from... Thoughts?
  7. For me with flying I ve always liked flowy melodic electronic music for example: Evening Star by Cannons Golden Age by Zayde Wolf Drive by the glades ETC
  8. Just remember the guys who did that in '92 got shot down by Georgian SA-2! :music_whistling:
  9. Well we are certainly getting Iranian F-4's and F-14's and im sure there will be IRIAF/IIAF F-5 skins on release of the map... Definitely need a P-3 Orion and some Chinese MiG-21 copies (F-7/J-7) Im excited for this map gives us a chance to play the baddies while still flying some classic western jets! Also could be pretty cool to fly an IIAF Sabre over the gulf in the 60's!
  10. hahahahaha! NTTR extension a little south and a little east...
  11. While I get that Persian Gulf is more recognizable to the masses I feel like anyone with the pre-requisite aviation knowledge needed to be interested in DCS is going to know what/where the straight of Hormuz is... But then again it makes sense to call it Persian Gulf as well. I have no expectations for Kuwait or Iraq being included although it would be nice! We just need some SA-2 guideline sams now haha
  12. AV-8B Single Mission! A fun single mission I found in the user files section, I really liked it and thought it was quite fun! I hope everyone likes the fly through of it and thank you SEDLO for the mission!
  13. The "maps" from something like the Ace Combat series could be kinda neat... I think there are a lot of cool places in the world we would need first. But I think it could be cool to have a map in a place (real or fictional) with extremely varied environments like desert, forest or rainforest, snow, islands, mountains, jungle, etc... (I guess south America would work for that) Ultimate DCS maps IMHO would be Vietnam and Solomon Islands/New Guinea for WW2
  14. Oh man the map just look so so beautiful I cannot wait to have it on my hard drive!
  15. Ive heard rumblings about a potential Iwo Jima map, however I would not be a huge fan of that as its only one tiny island and the air battles around Iwo were not as iconic or as balanced as the battles around New Guinea and the Solomons
  16. I totally agree on a Solomon Islands WW2 map! if they could make it big enough to cover New Guinea that would be perfect because it would cover the operational areas of the IJN, IJA (air corps), USMC, USN, USAAC, RAAF, RAF and the Dutch! Perfect hunting ground for all manner of aircraft espically for the upcoming F4U Corsair from heat blur... now we just need a P-39 and a P-38!
  17. Viggen Campaign Mission 3 Playthrough with helpful commentary! Heres a playthrough/walkthrough of Mission 3 of the AJS-37 Viggen Campaign! I thought it might help anyone who is needing a little help with getting into the Viggen or are feeling overwhelmed by the aircraft or the campaign enviroment! I hope everyone enjoys it!
  18. Thanks man! That really helps!
  19. Anytime!... Baby! Woohoo! This is awesome news! Thanks heatblur!
  20. Hey guys I cant seem to properly embed youtube videos in these forms the final product never works, it always comes up with an error message in my thread posts. can someone explain how to properly embed these vids?
  22. Oh ya I get all that stuff I was just hoping to see if we could get a little peak behind the curtain and have a glimpse into ED's decision making process when it comes to that. But I totally agree and cant wait for the Belsimtek F-4 and heatblur F-14 thats for sure!
  23. I have a question for you Eagle Dynamics or Wags about the F/A-18C Hornet coming to DCS World... What made you guys choose the F/A-18C as your new flagship module for DCS World? Why the Legacy Hornet over say a Viper, F-4 Phantom or even an F-14 Tomcat which are all incredibly well known. Would you guys ever consider creating a developer diary video or article showing the process of creating the hornet? It would be very interesting because this seems to have been a truly monumental project from the get go. I know the first question has been answered in bits and pieces across multiple posts and interviews but I'm interested in the thought process and business decisions behind the new DCS: F/A-18C as an Av Geek, huge DCS fan and customer of your awesome company!
  24. The hornet should be easier to fly by a mile! the tomcat is a big heavy beast you throw around the sky while the hornet with FBW makes it a much easier aircraft to handle... there are many great articles comparing the flight characteristics of the two... Basically they say the Tomcat has a much steeper learning curve while the hornet has a gentler learning curve but is harder to fully master every aspect of the hornet's flight envelope
