  1. It's the ED CDDS tool, search the forum, your looking for a page with about 3 or 4 different tools on it (an actual ED forum post), one of which is the CDDS tool.
  2. Cheers DragonRR! ModMan was created for installing/removing mods. It's there to precisely get around these kind of problems. I have no idea why someone wouldn't be using it. Anyway have fun all :D
  3. Oh yes I see what your saying. That does seem rather odd, there is a tick box in 3Ds Max to fix lights doing that and for the life of me I can't remember it's name and it's not installed on this machine. Anyway whatever that way of moddling light is, it's not active on those lights with the look of it. It's basically the fall off, and it doesn't look like it's doing it.
  4. I would imagine so, I can't believe they would cut off there own home market, although I can't find it on the russian version of the DCS website. Maybe they have removed it to add extra security, I believe one of the reasons we waited a little longer for the English version was down to the fact that they had to work on the copy protection.
  5. Will we be getting an updated PDF manual? I honestly don't really use printed manuals anymore. If I have something I need to refer to again and again and isn't easy to remember I print that bit out, or edit some sections together.
  6. Just install the mod mate, I did and it seems more realistic. Or should I say, more towards my perception of realistic.

The rest of the video is just them flying around not doing much and you hear a few longer conversations. I feel for the pilots, they were told there were no friendlies, but there were. You hear it more in the longer version, but they really do question the orange roofs a lot more, they seem initially determined they aren't going to fire, but as they are told time and time again that there are no friendlies around they do what probably most of us would do in that situation. Just a sad sad cock up. The gung ho attitude the American pilots makes them sound a bit more calus than they really are I think, but that's Americans for you and that's why us Brits (mostly) love em. On a game note I sometimes find myself in a situation just like your saying and what the american pilots found themselves in, you don't know what the hell is going on, and that's war I suppose.
  8. I am not sure to be honest, a lot of people on here use head tracking systems like Track IR. If you have the cash and are really into sims/imersion I would strongly recomend you get one. Your head usually always ends up pointing in the same direction it did the previouse day (:D) and if not it has a reset button that returns the view to the one your asking. Sorry I can't be more help, but I felt that if you weren't aware of such things you may wish to be.

  13. It was on this forum somewhere, it's a little script that runs. Very light and works a treat, it has different profiles for different cpus. And that is the FPS keystroke. I remember wondering in the old lock on days, what is all that other stuff if you press it twice?
  14. Are you saying the original digial cammo has problems? Do I need to remove it and add the one you have linked?
  15. Will the "lives" be tuned in the patch? Is it all static objects in the game or just ones in this mission? The reason I ask is if I create a mission and put in static objects, will they be hard to destroy than there moving counterparts? What about if a moving object get's to the end of it's run, does it have increased HP? They must be hard tanks because there are some in a multiplayer map I play with my friend that we can kill in one shot (usually), but I gave up after they took 2 Vikrh's and gun rounds and didn't die.
  16. Work through the options, it's all in there. Those options bounce into the multiplayer part as well if you ever play that, and you won't have problems launching that :D
  17. Have you tried hiding the enemy in the mission editor? Not sure if it will work or not, just a thought. If you can see a target in the mission editor it's a known target, hiding targets (and it hides them in the mission editor also) means they are unknown.

  21. I never knew that! That's brilliant, thank you very much. I have tried this mission but had a few issues myself. 1) Are you supposed to re-destroy the already blown up vehicals? 2) There is a row of tanks that for love no money I can't destroy, is it me? 3) Can you do it on one load out?
  22. I have played that mission, where are you seeing this percentage reading? I have never seen one.
  23. He has said he has already done that. I think if you don't update it it just doesn't work in the game, he's getting a complete TIR software crash.
  24. Well I don't think I have ever used the laser range finder on the unguided weapons, so that's probably going to be a big help with why they keep missing :D What do you mean by "sight mode"? If I am using the Shkval I target, lock/track, bring the pipper onto the target and fire? And that will give me greater accuracy? I just want to make sure that when I try it later I don't miss a step. Boberro, Are you using an X52? I quantasised the time to 0.001 and with my setup my rockets/missles fire as soon as I release the button (I tend to line up, press and once stable release).
