Just a quick thank you to the ED team for allowing new players to be introduced in DCS World though Flaming Cliffs. As long as the company is wealthy I'll tag along and wait for the full fidelity modules being produced thanks to the FC4 sales.
-
Do you have any metrics about the vast majority of the player base who do not post on these forums and are using only FC3 level planes ? I'd be interested.

Response from Thrustmaster re. F/A-18 HOTAS
33-DFTC replied to Garyss's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Word on the street is that something big is coming from Thrustmaster during E3. Let's wait for the announcement. -
With the upcoming PFM, perhaps the plane will have a little more love from ED. Did they update the others planes when they went through the PFM upgrade ?

Experiencing the same trouble for several months.

Degraded AG weapons delivery accuracy in latest 2.5 update
33-DFTC replied to DaveRindner's topic in Bugs and Problems
I did not experienced any problem with my last runs since I switched to 2.5 Open Beta. I even tried to apply the parameters found in the F-5E Weapons Delivery Manual for delivering ordnance at very low altitude and it worked flawlessly at each of my attacks (though it was Snakeyes released in ripple mode). -
I'd love it too. I'm being a bit selfish here but after upgrading my setup with a MCG Pro, I'd love to use it fully. Unfortunatly that is not the case at the moment.

I really hope to see an update to the MiG-29 in 2018. It needs it ! Ok, i need it …

DAMN IT. I JUST DONT GET QFE 2 QNH SETTINGS in F-5E
33-DFTC replied to DaveRindner's topic in DCS: F-5E
I'm really amazed how no one in this whole topic was able to provide a clear and concise answer that a 6 year old would understand. The OP asked several times to use an exemple from a situation in game, instead we have lot of folks trying to show off their superior theory knowledge on the matter. I'm not (really) throwing at you any rock guys, but it would be greatly appreciated if you abstained from replying if you're not able to provide an effective answer. While theory is required to fully understand how the system works, we - humble human beings - need some real situation context to understand those principles as a whole. I'm sorry Dave to not helping you but I'm sharing your boat here. Nonetheless, your question is a very good exemple of how mediocre is the F-5E manual (and from what I read on the others subforums, this is a general consensus among modules). I really enjoy mastering a module and I've been myself hold back because of topics non discussed or lightly explained in the flight manual. Comprehensive flight manuals should be mandatory in a sim like DCS. -
I concur.

Great ! Thank you for replying so fast))

Hi there Baltic_Dragon, Is there any news on the manual status ? Last time we heard about it, it was being reviewed by a bunch of people. Thank you))

Hi, I'm currently learning how to fly the A-10C. Could you elaborate this part of your reply please ? How the use of the TGP will reduce effectiveness in combat operations and how the sole use of the Maverick would increase lethality ? I'm afraid I'm missing something and I'd rather grasp the idea behind your reasoning. Thanks.

I'm having a hard time to tell if you're being ironic as the link provided demonstrate a landing without using the chute and the video closing on the infamous skid phenomenom.
-
Would you share the name of the book please ?
-
That's actually a good point that I didn't take into account.
-
Really ? I could name a few if you want but it would be off forum chart. I'm sure you can easily find some, even in the MMO category. In the end, that's not the question here, I was looking for an official statement to understand this change. Or I'm the kind of player who likes to master a plane before purchasing another one. It can be a pretty slow process to really master a plane, at least in my case. Or I could have wait for a module to be more feature complete before stepping into it (yes I'm looking at you Combined Arms). I'm not really the kind of guy who go frenzy during sales.

I do understand what you're saying. What I'm trying to say is that it's confusing for new customers and moreover for old ones. Let's say a popular gaming marketplace had sold for several years an old game $20 and suddenly, right after a patch the prices went back to the seven years old price tag ? How do you think people would react ? I would have thought that the investment cost of these modules were absorbed since long ago and that the actual prices were a nice way to introduce new players to DCS - especially FC3. I'm concerned that this move is a way to capitalize on the wave of new players who will discover DCS after 2.5 articles being published. We'll see then, we can't do much about it I guess. (By the way, is CA future price tag the original one ? I thought it was $30 when it was released).
-
I'm not sure to follow your reasoning. The actual prices are in place for some years now if I remember it correctly and did not mention any price cut like it does when on sale (you know, the usual price being striked and replaced by the sale price). I thought it was a permanent price cut like we see everywhere after a product had been sold for several years. Anyway, it seems that there was no official annoucement on the Facebook page, I'll deal with it. Hope the new players coming after the 2.5 release will not discover the sudden rise. Have a nice weekend everyone))
-
Hi guys, Is there any reason behind the prices being raised in the near future ? I don't have a Facebook account so I could have missed some information. Thanks

Can confirm that as well, such a nice guy  A little update on the schedule would be great. These are not the keywords in our current discussion. They have been perfectly highlighted : "I still have to start working". Until someone from the team tells us that the work have been resumed, I'll consider, rightfully, that the last official statement holds to be true.
