Take cover guys, shit storm incoming ! I'm glad I went through the Aliexpress website to order mine. I can't believe this is happening again despite the claims from VKB stating that they had plenty of products to supply pre-orders and the sales to follow. What about european customers then ? It's already February and still no pre-orders available on the website. Last time we heard something about the european dealer, the MCG was planned for March 2018.

This is odd, having hundreds or thousands of flight hours and still not being able to land the plane … I'm far from having hundreds of flight hours on DCS but I can't remember when was the last time I lost control of the F-5. While I agree that there is a centering problem, once you know that, it's hard to not compensate and learn how to do it properly. You just have to adapt until Belsimtek corrects the problem (if it is even planned).

They could just adopt the nomenclature from their current DLC maps : - DCS : Nevada Test and Training Range - DCS : Normandy 1944 Edit : Hmm … At least SithSpawn clarified it.

Sure the press is known to be impartial, especially in the tech/game industry xD

It's totally fine to not like/appreciate VR in its current state, we don't react to it in the same way. If you tried it for several days and still don't feel any wow factor, you should probably sell it while it holds some value. Perhaps you will be able to try the next generation of VR headsets with much improved graphics and field of view.

He's been pretty clear on the introduction of its post. I don't see any problem with him posting his opinion as long as he's being transparent.

I kept the default delivery service and it only took 8 days to be delivered. I suppose I didn't get the taxes to pay because the package was handled by the local post office when it reached my country. I'm not sure that DHL will get any faster than a mere week

Well, I'll gladly wait for an answer from you as you seem to master the topic. From my perspective, the number of objects displayed on the screen directly affects the game performances. Haven't you never experienced the FPS drop while looking directly to a huge number of objects (like in Vegas) and regaining those FPS while looking straight to the sky ? I never thought about it until today but the FOV could indeed, add some strain on our rigs due to the increase of objects to render.

This is exactly why I bought from the AliExpress store. I'm going to leave for several months and I would not risk to miss the MCG Pro on the european store. VKB products are sold like hot cakes and each time they sell out in a matter of weeks. Got my grip in 8 days, even faster than my previous order with the european dealer.

Same over here, ordered from the AliExpress website and received it today (I'm located in western Europe), just 8 days - strange, I didn't have to pay any customs to retrieve the package, the clerk told me that there was none. Incredible stick so far. I'll have to wait this weekend until testing it a bit.

Well, considering the US is one of the last nation in the world using the imperial system, it would be unfair for all the others countries to name the metric system "Baguette-o-meter" ))

This is a nice find, thank you. The fact that he uploads some videos to its Youtube channel to enhance the show is also a nice addition. Hope the podcast will find its audience and grow in the coming years.

While the Mirage is not a true mud, the fifth pic looks gorgeous. Nice work for all of these fictional liveries.

Oh we don't. As it is common to say "Fool me once, shame on me ; fool me twice, shame on me". I'll just wait for the revolution.

I'm not. As for the "low risk, low threat environment" part, are you implying that the whole Hormuz region is free of such zone to train local pilots ? How are they training then ? What about the several western countries having outposts and training there as well ? As I said, I really do think NTTR is a great map BUT with the Strait of Hormuz release I cannot see the former thriving within the community. Why someone would purchase a desert map with much lower deployment capabilities ? Hormuz will offer the ability to train any aspect of modern warfare. Last time I flew in Nevada I was not able to perform carrier operations or anti-shipping missions. I'll still fly over Vegas from time to time because I like the idea of having a blue training zone but if you had to help a new pilot to choose between NTTR and the Strait of Hormuz, which map will you recommend ? I think the vast majority of the community will advise the new pilot to buy the newest desert map. Only time will tell.

This is a really nice map if you plan to use it as a training ground, but don't expect it to be played a lot as a multiplayer map in the future (even now, I rarely see more than 50 players over Nevada during european day time. As Bender said, buying it now is more a way to show your support to ED's work.

Sorry guys but I think there is some misunderstanding about the point of my question. Perhaps my fault. Trying to make it simple and straightforward : How NTTR will still be relevant when *new* Caucasus and Strait of Hormuz will be available ? I think that the current success of NTTR is mainly due to being a desert map and a different environment from the usual green plains of Caucasus. What will happen when Strait of Hormuz will be here ? In the future, if I want to fly a desert map, I'll probably choose to fly over the Strait (and don't forget the fact that we will be also able to be launched from carriers).

Hi there ! I know, the question seems to be a bit provocative but it is perfectly genuine. With the upcoming *new* Caucasus and the Strait of Hormuz map on its way, I was wondering who will buy the NTTR when there are so much more interesting maps, environment wise. NTTR would be perfect as a training ground (as it is today), then people willing to go on a more realistic confrontational setting would buy the Strait of Hormuz map. NTTR could still host a bunch of Red Flag type campaigns. The fact that the map would be free should facilitate and entice buyers to buy more campaigns as the investment cost would be much lower. I bought myself the NTTR map, I'm not looking to grab some free stuff, don't throw rocks at me please. I'm just curious about the future development of this map. To reward the early adopters, ED could eventually offer a coupon code to offer a small reduction on a future map purchase. Just my two cents.

I'm wondering about the sales too. I think the Normandy map looks gorgeous but its bad rep regarding its poor performance makes it a no go for me. If Normandy could benefit from Speedtree then I'll probably buy it, but if there is not enough sales I don't think it will be cost effective for ED to invest time and ressources. Well, the snake biting its own tail.

This livery is perfect for NTTR and the upcoming Hormuz ; I really hope Heatblur will include it in the official Viggen set. Fantastic work !

Perfect ! Thank you))

Well, this is the first time I read this. Is that something you mentionned on the product page ? I'm actually using the KG12 for IL-2 and I'm waiting for the MCG Pro to use it to fly DCS, this is quite a bummer ; I'll have to choose which sim I'll put aside while you're writing a new firmware to support both products. Do you have any estimated release date for this new firmware supporting both sticks ?
