  1. Indeed. Let’s also hope it will work in both versions of the A-10C…
  2. And Mirage F1, C-101, Mirage 2000, MiG-21 (even though that one only works in pancake mode), AV-8B (removed for now because it didn’t work correctly), OH-58 and the upcoming Bo-105. But I think you misunderstood him I think he meant to say that he thinks the new A-10 tinted visor will end up being functionally useless. We’ll have to wait and see But it’s been one of the most requested features in the past 7 years so let’s hope ED is aware of that (even though they actively pretend not to be).
  3. Quickly, someone pinch me in the arm so I know I’m not dreaming! Will this feature be coming to other ED modules too? Every woman in existence would love such a feature! Oh wait, you mean extra fuel tanks?
  4. I fully support this. I did a proper boresight this morning, only to have George (with PHS as acquisition source) point the TADS somewhere in Narnia when I asked him to scan for targets where I was looking… A special option that makes the IHADSS for both pilot and CP/G always perfectly boresighted would be brilliant!
  5. For future reference, this is the F-4 section of the forum: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/919-dcs-f-4e-phantom/
  6. That's only applicable IRL. So for DCS it doesn't serve any purpose, and there's no need to model it.
  7. I seem to remember you can configure Project Lasso to load a different Power Profile when certain applications are running (you can select them yourself IIRC). This is how I remember it at least, it's been a while since I used Project Lasso. The alternative is writing a script or batch file to kill the "Power" service when you launch DCS, and to re-enable it once it closes. I have no idea how to do that, however.
  8. I think there's always more included in a patch than what's listed, but this one is indeed quite striking.
  9. Indeed: I flew a helicopter mission the other day with a friend. It was an interesting experience, but needless to say we decided to land asap and tweak the mission before proceeding further
  10. Indeed, I just wish it was an independent setting. I have mine set to "extreme" I believe. It would just be nice to see lights (including afterburners) at night further out without the massive performance hit from increasing everything else that is tied to the visibility range setting.
  11. And even that has less than half of the rendering distance required to be truly immersive.
  12. Indeed, which is why helmet visors are so important *hint*
  13. Indeed, I just found them. I need to take a shower now though, after visiting that place…
  14. You seem to get insider information when it comes to terrains in DCS: you called the Fulda map being made by Ugra months before the official announcement, and now this... Colour me intrigued!
  15. Shortly after launch (6-7 years ago?) we were told the textures and 3D model were basically place-holders (WIP). Since then nothing has changed. The community has stepped in but they can only do so much within the constraints of the current 3D model. I support this request: this should have priority over stuff like panels that can be opened, IMHO.
  16. Works just fine on my end...
  17. I don’t claim to know the minds of the design team, but if I were them it would be obviously to draw the phase 3 border exactly where it is in order NOT to have to include Antwerp and Brussels, because of the amount of work it would take to include them. I don’t mean just size but also the uniqueness and variety of buildings. You need to draw the line somewhere
  18. Das ist wirklich ausgezeignet, ja!
  19. Indeed, but most likely this is a prerequisite for the Dynamic Campaign. ED will need time to flesh it out so it can be ready when they are planning to release the DCE.
  20. Creativity shines when you have to do a lot with very little
  21. I've been flying helicopters in the Bagram - Kabul area without any issues. I also just finished an F-14 IA mission there and again didn't have any performance problems. There are a few modules (the Mirage F1 and OH-58) which have been interfering with specific scripts apparently, but I have only seen that happen once with a mission file a user shared on the Mirage F1 subforum to highlight performance problems. I never had it with any of my missions or missions that are included in DCS.
  22. Right? I'd like to think the majority of the DCS users is at least in their 40s, but the forum likely isn't representative of the average DCS user. To be fair, tensions are high in society in general (I don't mean politically but that is included - I mean as a living human being these days) so likely that will bleed through to some extent to forums, but that obviously doesn't excuse regrettable behaviour that's often on display here. Nice post btw
