Instant mission - Syria - Shooting range - Wrong HMS
Schlomo1933 replied to bmbpdk's topic in Missions and Campaigns
In all missions the ground crew is now set to automatic select hmd/nvg . So if the mission time is near to sunrise/sunset , they chose the nvg‘s. u can open the mission inside the editor and change it to hmd. Or u contact the ground crew to change when u start at the airfield everytime. (Let the cockpit door open , otherwise groundcrew refuse to change) -
Will old BS2 campaigns be converted to BS3?
Schlomo1933 replied to BalticDude's topic in Missions and Campaigns
That’s not so easy for all missions. Some have mission triggers inside . And if they are programmed for the BS2 then u need to change them also to the bs3 … to find them and change them could be a pain in the xxx also for long flights , u need to setup fix points now. (Because of the implemented INU drift) but yes. I would also like that all the payware campaigns get ported to BS3. -

From which Flightmodel improvements are u talking ? There was no Change since mid BS2.

Flight model Over Trimed if trim pressed
Schlomo1933 replied to GumidekCZ's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thats just true for BS2. In the BS1 there was no overcompensating. And i´m just not shure if this is realistic. Because all discussions went around if theres a micro switch who will detect when the cyclic is moved away from the trimmed position. there is no such a switch thats fact. But if the flight computer has the possibilty to detect when the cyclic is moved away from the trimmed position and will switch the autopilot to standby (that will act the same way as we hold the trimm release or the new pedals - heading is working ) was never cleared. I believe in the real shark it is used this way. because how it is implemented at the moment is feels just unnatural and dangerous. But i got i used to it since many years, and dont want to start a new discussion. We or Ed (i believe) dont have anything what will tell which way is implemented in the real shark. -

Im going nuts…. I tried this time again with hot start.A flight (360km) with 6 waypoints , 3 fixpoints and at the targetarea also with hoverhold and auto turn to target. Was working this time all fine. No problems with Hot-Start. -
Flight model Over Trimed if trim pressed
Schlomo1933 replied to GumidekCZ's topic in Bugs and Problems
With only 3 flight director modes ( pitch, roll and bank ) this is a realistic* behavior when u just „tap“ the trim button in the shark. It’s only recommended when u make small adjustments or u have the flight director mode on. Without flightdirector u need to press and hold the trimmer for large corrections. With flight director on , the shark will not overcompensate. But don’t forget to switch it off , if u need the automatic hoverhold. The reason for it is the 20% authority of the autopilot. If u move your cyclic, the autopilot tries to maintain his last known attitude. It means it will fight u till 20% and u need to push the cyclic over the 20%. If you tap then the trimmer, the autopilot will reset to zero and your cyclic position is too far in your chosen direction. So the autopilot overcompensate. It’s not like in the Mi8 or Mi24. This have different systems. not easy to explain… but i hope it will help u. *It was discussed often in the BS2 forum. If it’s realistic or not , I‘m not shure. -

reported KA-50 BS3 auto turn to target
Schlomo1933 replied to 504smudge's topic in Bugs and Problems
@Devrimi don’t believe that it will happens only in cold start, or that the problem with INU is related to the cold start procedure. I believe it’s more deeper inside of programming of the INU. Or that a bug in heading messes up the whole INU. Even in Hot Start the bugs occur. -
My text was Not intended to be rude. That’s why i wrote sorry but… yeah … i believe u are right…. I try to write more friendly I’m future. i tried to explain why I think so in this thread:
-
I have no idea what’s wrong … color is automatic. Text is standard. Have u an idea?
-
Sorry, but u have no idea from the shark. this thing is full with bugs and the performance is 20% less as BS2.

For me its looking like , EDs 1st priority was releasing the shark before christmas , without testing his biggest new feature (the new Inu system). The whole INU is completely bugged.... it starts with the alligment thats not working. -the heading is wrong,- inu fix works only sometimes , and when it works the heading is also incorrect. And this will make that the auto turn to target is also messed up.... For a module in 2022/23 it is sad, that not all buttons and knob´s are possible to map as 2 or 3 position bindings ar as axes. So many people use/build their own homecockpits or some important parts of a cockpit. why u dont support them ? Also shkval is tracking moving targets, even no "moving ground target" is selected. The shkval have not changed since BS1 ... it dont track/lock with contrast. It is still cheating in a bad way .... all the contrast modes are useless. The possibility to open all the hatches is a nice Eye Candy, but its eats frames (espacially in VR) even the hatches are clothed. because all whats inside is still rendered. The Igla ... hmmm ... you know the discussion about it. I like them but dont realy need them. The MWS is realy nice and saved me now a lot of times. The look of the ouside model is amazing , but also shows some mistakes... like the broken cockpit glass after a hit what is only visible from outside view. I´m pretty shure u ED will fix the Bugs fast as possible... but for an update that is needed to pay for it,its just not enough. Especially what makes me really sad is the fact, that the Shark was your first high fidelity module (and also my first love in 2009) . Sorry ED, but i´m disapointed .... (Pls. Could a moderator send this please directly to ED ?)

BS2: Speed indicator doesn't refreshing until TRIM/STICK release.
Schlomo1933 replied to ADHS's topic in Bugs and Problems
It is working as intended. It simulates now the Dopplerradar. U need to stay in pitch/roll limits . If u pitch or roll with too much angle , it will stop at the last known speed. If u are back at level, the speed will shown exactly again. If u need to make a tight turn , make a fast stop, need to accelerate fast: than u can look at the shkval. The speed is shown there in the left upper corner , but will calculated from (I believe) the pitot tubes. -

There is a button for the collective brake since BS 2 . If u are in altitude hold mode. U need to press the button to put the hold mode to standby and to release it will tell the system your new altitude. I don’t understand why u want this button to work like in the mi-24 …. Move your collective without pressing the button or brake lever will not allow u to move the collective in the sim … and desync your hotas. why u don’t just push this button/lever all the time if u move the collective? if u need a physical clutch on your hotas than build/modify something similar on your hotas/collective. (I believe it is possible with a brakedisk and a cycle brake lever and a button that’s connected to the lever- that’s my next project for my winwing collective)
