  1. I believe With switching the laser off you also switch if the cooling fluid. That’s why u can extend it. and after rearming the cooling fluid gets filled up again
  2. Before the BS 3 was released it was there. I’m 100% sure . it’s this tab where I would switch in the Mi-8 your armor and in mi-24 and Mi-8the IR-Deflectors. Othervise Ed must delete this menu for the bs2 right before the Christmas update. may some other user can help. I’m not at home for the next days.
  3. It’s not correct. Switch - off , gauge shows 0. Switch on - gauge shows fuel level
  4. Click on your ka-50. On the right side u have the waypoint, the ammunition , the frequency’s and also one tab where u can choose if u want to have nvg , hmd or automatic( chosen by ground crew)

  6. Yes, u have have to lock something. So the laser range finder can do his work.
  7. And if you compare the shark to other modules, how many switches and functions inside the cockpit are just not modeled/ without function…. even the cockpit pressure isn’t modeled… the hind and the 21 have it.

I start feeling that the Shark is just a cow that gets milked till it’s dry from Ed… no love for this module… which Module deserves more Love than the shark ? It was ED‘s first real module… with it Ed’s glory started… And no, Flanker an Lock-On don’t count as realistic for me. the only mod (I’m not shure if he is really a moderator) is flappie who is looking at some bug reports….   11. It is easy but was never magically easy. hover works just fine. But u need be shure that route mode is switched off. With route mode on, it’s hard to trimm for zero movement
  12. If you use the route mode to wp1 u really need to setup your heading with the compass. The magnetic setting is only recommended if no metallic objects are in the near of the shark or u do a inflight alligment. after inu alligment in fast or norm, - 1. put in the true heading into the Inu scale 2. Flip the gyro switch to the lower position 3. flip it back to gyro Done. 3.1 Because U will need allign the heading again after a while ( mostly after 25 km— is buggy ) in flight, turn in the magnetic variation into the inu scale. When a Realligning is needed: you switch in flight the gyro switch into magnetic mode and then back . i can recommend to make a fixpoint between every waypoint and make a hover fix—- NOT A SHKVAL FIX (it’s also buggy). Till the unrealistic drift is fixed. (the last fixpoint should be short before the target area) and fixpoint 3 and 4 are changed if u set them up in the missioneditor -so u need to push fp4 for 3 and fp3 for 4
  13. Is it possible to get a official roadmap for the BS3 , what features are planned to include? there are so much missing things in the shark. Like contrast system for locking targets , missing key binds, visible damage from inside the cockpit and so on.

  15. The fuel gauge shows fuel level, even when the fuel quantity switch is set to off.
  16. Known Bug since BS2 . Ed was telling us , that is real life behavior…. Don’t believe that.

  20. Not true. Even the old Asetto Corsa Race Sim has with a mod perfect rain and wiper animations... and its not FPS hungry. Would be a dream to have this in DCS.

After INU (stored/ normal) alligment (also after hot start) you need to correct the heading as written in the manual . if towers or metallic objects near the helicopter choose the manual correction instead of the automatic magnetic correction. I believe the training videos are from BS2 and are just a bit extended for BS3, but still wrong . Anyway , the INU system is broken and still starts drifting after 30 km way to much. best thing is you make a hot start at the moment. And choose a fixpoint directly at the 2nd waypoint. Could pls any Moderator could delete the „correct-as-is“ label? Because it’s Not-Correct.
  22. As title says. The two warning lights left from the headup display („extend gear“ and „being attacked“ lightens up in Russian ( but cockpit is set to English).
  23. It’s not a bug. If your engines are off, you can also let the door open, to talk to the groundcrew.

  25. Not a Bug. In the hud is the calculated ground speed. And it is only possible to calculate when u are in the limits for the ground Dopplerradar. Pitch and bank within +/- 10 degree . your indicated airspeed is shown in shkval or on the speed gauge on the left of the front panel. But this is only working iff you fly faster than 50 kph . If u are slower than 50kph it’s not accurate and will show 000. please read the manual and fly the training missions. Instead of filling the Bug Forum with “bugs” that are just Usermistakes. That makes it really hard for the mods to find the real bugs.
