  1. After INU (stored/ normal) alligment (also after hot start) you need to correct the heading as written in the manual . if towers or metallic objects near the helicopter choose the manual correction instead of the automatic magnetic correction. I believe the training videos are from BS2 and are just a bit extended for BS3, but still wrong . Anyway , the INU system is broken and still starts drifting after 30 km way to much. best thing is you make a hot start at the moment. And choose a fixpoint directly at the 2nd waypoint. Could pls any Moderator could delete the „correct-as-is“ label? Because it’s Not-Correct.
  2. As title says. The two warning lights left from the headup display („extend gear“ and „being attacked“ lightens up in Russian ( but cockpit is set to English).
  3. It’s not a bug. If your engines are off, you can also let the door open, to talk to the groundcrew.
  4. Pls post this in the bug forum for BS III . This is the bug forum for BS2. but yes, I can confirm it.
  5. Not a Bug. In the hud is the calculated ground speed. And it is only possible to calculate when u are in the limits for the ground Dopplerradar. Pitch and bank within +/- 10 degree . your indicated airspeed is shown in shkval or on the speed gauge on the left of the front panel. But this is only working iff you fly faster than 50 kph . If u are slower than 50kph it’s not accurate and will show 000. please read the manual and fly the training missions. Instead of filling the Bug Forum with “bugs” that are just Usermistakes. That makes it really hard for the mods to find the real bugs.
  6. Switch the laser to off , when u don’t need it. Wait after lasing that the cooldown timer in the hud reaches zero. the reason for that ist , the laser is liquid cooled (like the iglas). After a certain time the laser run off cooling . It’s designed that u can fire 12 vikhers . if you switch off the laser when u don’t need it, and wait for the countdown , u can launch up to 20 vikhers. that’s no Bug. It’s how it is in real life
  7. There are training missions for the BS3 included . They will explain how all new features “should” work.
  8. Many of us are working with 2 , 3 or like me up to 8 position switches (like on the unguided weapon selector on the back wall) so for us , toggle switches make no sense. ( without the those switches like the 5 autopilot Chanel’s or the targeting buttons for moving ground targets) .
  9. For me it looks like your view is tilted to the right. Have u tried to turn your view to the left ? Maybe that helps
  10. the Ka-50 cant carry asymetric loadouts. Not in DCS and not in real life. (the only asymetric loadout thats working is with one fuel tank) The KA-52 can do this. And no, the ka-50 is not a ka-52 from some ukraine videos....
  11. The rotor down wash came with BS2 with 2.8 but yes, it’s a nice feature

  14. Blackshark 3 is not released inside the stable version. Only in the beta. Because it has too many bugs inside at the moment.

  16. Ed should be never be disscust on the same level as Razbam or Polyshop. They (Ed) are definitely on a different (higher) level… And be careful when u use names of 3rd party developers. I got already a warning
  17. I read somewhere that it is related to the global cockpit illumination. It’s buggy in the BS3. Ass a work arround: turn off the global cockpit illumination, and the cockpit looks normal. Hope it get fixed soon.
  18. Ground crew sets now automatic the NVG if you start near to sunset/sunrise time… …don’t like it.
  19. In the missioneditor i setted up up a mission where 4 fixpoints are roughly in line, with roundabout 70 km between them and also a waypoint on them. I made hotstart from ramp and recognized that the Fixpoints 3 and 4 are changed inside the shark. that means : In: ME Fixppoint 1 - in Shark: Fixppoint 1 In: ME Fixppoint 2 - in Shark: Fixppoint 2 In: ME Fixppoint 3 - in Shark: Fixppoint 4 In: ME Fixppoint 4 - in Shark: Fixppoint 3 I dont know if this Bug is only BS3 related or also BS2. But u can easely reproduce this bug. Create some fixpoints in mission Editor and check the coords in pvi-800.

  21. Before this will work, the whole Locksystem need to be changed from a „cheat“ lock to the realistic contrast lock. Many user want this since BS2 … maybe Ed will make this happen someday for BS3 , but I believe not.
  22. In all missions the ground crew is now set to automatic select hmd/nvg . So if the mission time is near to sunrise/sunset , they chose the nvg‘s. u can open the mission inside the editor and change it to hmd. Or u contact the ground crew to change when u start at the airfield everytime. (Let the cockpit door open , otherwise groundcrew refuse to change)
  23. That’s not so easy for all missions. Some have mission triggers inside . And if they are programmed for the BS2 then u need to change them also to the bs3 … to find them and change them could be a pain in the xxx also for long flights , u need to setup fix points now. (Because of the implemented INU drift) but yes. I would also like that all the payware campaigns get ported to BS3.
