Oh sure I can do that when I get home. I'll message you it and you should be able to import it via DCS.
-
I don't think there is one that heatblur has made yet as default. I just set everything myself using spudknockers hotas settings on YouTube.
-
The only thing that slightly concerns me about the reverb is no physical ipd adjustment. I don't know what mine is on my Odyssey as I usually set it once and that's it. I think it's somewhere between 63-65. I'd be curious in going to the Microsoft store and trying out the reverb to see if it affects me. As I only use these headsets for DCS it would be annoying to not be able to find the best spot for clarity.
-
My 1080ti should work fine but I'm sure I will have to lower more settings than what I have now on the Odyssey. We should wait until reviews come in for it to see how taxing it really is.
-
It is but you probably need a 2080 or more to run it fine at least in DCS with that resolution. I'm looking forward to getting one to replace my Odyssey.
-
I also have lenses from them and I believe I may need that new cover too. But with the new HP headset coming in April I may just save my money to get that and hope that VR lens lab will have lenses for that headset too.

I think it's a setting in steam VR settings now. Enable motion reprojection in the video tab of steam VR. I didn't have have to do anything different and I noticed my fps stays around 45 or so most times. I don't use steam VR beta or wmr beta.
-
Nope happens to me too. Sometimes I have to run setup and a choose seated mode and hit recenter in wmr app. Other times I think it may be related to the amount of light in your room.
-
Yeah I'll probably get it but I don't plan on upgrading my 1080Ti to a 2080Ti at all at least not until the next set of cards come out. I'm fine with the Odyssey for now since no new cards are out.
-
I'm interested in the new hp headset but I'm curious what type of card you will need to use it. I don't think the 1080ti will cut it.
-
That sounds exciting. While I've had Viacom pro for a while, I've rarely set it up because I had issues many times that needed a reinstall. But I'll definitely be using the jester portion of it.

You have to place the mods in the same directory of your dcs installation. Not in save game location, as far as I know if you are not going to use a mod manager. When you extract the clean cockpit mod for example you have the folders like this: Mods/aircraft/F-14/Cockpit/Textures You have to go to where you installed dcs and you will see the same folder structure C:/Program Files/DCS/Mods/.... You place the files there for the aircraft you are using. But you will lose the mod when dcs does an update. The mod manager is easier and you won't lose the mod each time dcs does an update because you can enable/disable the mods.

I recommend using ovgme to install and enable/disable mods. If you don't want to, the zip file is extracted with the same path structure as where you need to place the mod files. https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/OVGME

I didn't notice any reduced textures with the clean cockpit mod. Even the Rio seat is much more readable now. The other mods will have the reduced textures if that is what you are looking for.

Additional stick to operate the lantirn stick functions?
sze5003 replied to DocSigma's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Don't you have separate profiles for the Rio vs the pilot? Why would you need another stick? When you switch to Rio for example in single player you are not also flying the tomcat at the same time right? I've seen some user files in the DCS website for the warthog (Rio and pilot) and they both use modifiers. The Rio one uses two modifiers a button and a switch. -
Mission 10 Mavericks
sze5003 replied to sze5003's topic in A-10C Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification Campaign
I had no idea you could change the load out. I would have saved myself a lot of retries back when I did this mission. I somehow managed to pass it with the given load out by using force correlation with the Mavericks on the second set of targets. It was really hard to see anything in VR and I could not get a lock at all until I used force correlate to fire the Maverick and somehow got those last tanks. You also have to hurry up before the illumination flares go out in order to get all the BTR's and trucks. -
Thanks a lot for these. I linked them on Reddit as well and people are glad to have them. Hopefully soon you should be able to add them to the custom cockpit section once that is integrated. For now I use a mod installer to turn these on and off when I'm doing multiplayer vs single player.
-
One thing to note is I think this will not pass the multiplayer integrity check. Which I think is fine if you are using a mod manager, just turn it off if you plan to fly online.
-
Yeah filtering all the mods on the site will show his other mods. There is reduced cockpit textures mod as well as internal/external too. Looks like the clean cockpit mod only applied the labels to the left console as it was mentioned above.
-
He could probably make another version will full resolution textures for non VR. Just change the font of the labels. To me it's no problem that the switches and cockpit textures are too weathered it's just the labels that look bad when also weathered as the textures.
-
Ah ok yeah I had JGSE or whatever it was installed before I got a new hard drive. I'll probably just use the mod manager since these may get reverted on updates.
-
That's great news. I didn't see any instructions as to where these go. I can't wait to get home and try these out tonight. This way I can bring my gamma back down to 1.7 like before.
-
Definitely looks better. This is what I meant by just making the label text clearer or different font. I wonder, since I'm not home now if the person did this for all instruments/switches or just the left panel?
-
Another thing you can do besides turn gamma up to 2.5 is turn shadows to flat only or off. Flat only turns of cockpit shadows and off turns all shadows off. I think switches are more visible in cockpit with flat only but would still prefer a cleaner texture pit or perhaps just cleaner switch labels.

I had the same issue in the guns training after the first drone. I play in VR and normally I can see targets but at waypoint 2 he kept calling them out yet I saw absolutely nothing.
