  1. Hi Tango Im using the English version, and yes if I put the original lua back in place the comms return. I tried deleting the lua several times and each time it regenerates as a "0" byte file. Could you post a working copy of the modded/regenerated sampledurationtable.lua Perhaps i can cross referance changes to my default. Also once I delete the lua, on first start the dcs.exe fails win a "bin\stable" error. Next start the game runs, but has the zero byte lua. Should I turn off "protect.exe" to allow the lua regeneration to complete? or could doing this burn one of my activations?
  2. The Heli sounds fantastic. One thing I noticed though before my wife interupted my joy was that the comms voices appear broken. When I request rearm or take off I hear this "50 ........." nothing? The tower and maintence sound files of course are intact as they were not part of the mod, but i think something has gone wrong with the sample duration file generation. BTW im using the English version if that helps. The "SampleDurationTable.lua" that regenerates has no data. Zero byte file? If I restore the original SampleDurationTable.lua all the sounds are intact, but Im guessing the sample length is incorrect for modded sound files?

  4. Even though you guys say you wont use this type of mod in multiplay. Some players will, and it will destroy multiplay for everyone, unless loadouts can be controlled from the editor. Which I dont think can be done at this point. Posting cheats in this forum is akin to placing the DCS manual on the floor and skidding your arse accross it, like a dog clearing debri from its clacker.
  5. Im not a big fan of some of the mods being posted regarding non std arming. Im flying in multiplay with some players carrying enough misiles to defeat small nations solo. Ive been a server admin in the past in various games and would consider such arming as cheats resulting in kick/ban. Im hoping players will refrain from posting such content. Im not targeting you in this post Tesla, im just stating a point of view that i'd rather not see it in multiplay :huh:

  7. A: Stand off outside 5km An agressive assault at close range will most likly end up with your brains splattered like this screenshot. Once you take out a few targets, its a good idea to break off, fall back a little, then pop up somewhere else. I think one of the Apache drivers in this forum gave some good advise in the past "Attack, then fade".

  13. The KA52 and Havoc in EECH1 are still great fun to fly when modded to the latest build. I would suggest that those that want to fly the 52 should generate some cash and hire Damir Dokic to capture ARNEH and put him to work in an Austrian basment until he has a completed 52 pit ;)

  16. Ive got FD button mapped onto one of my hats. I used to use it when i was under fire or simply engaging the enemy, but I think once you come to terms with the auto pilot and trim you probably wont use FD much, if at all for that matter. Its good when your learning to fly the KA50 more than anything else. My thoughts anyhow :)

  19. I flew this mission in multiplay tonight with a friend and thought it was very good. Thx for posting, i'll be watching out for your next miz :)
  20. Do not take offense as I have watched Rob Roy several times and do not wish to challenge your honour ;) I just prefer playing DCS:BS in coop missions at present. My favourite multiplay mission at present is one where up to 4x KA50 support an armoured column through 3x hostile points. The mission takes 2-3hrs and the pace is controlled by the column. Supporting the column being the primary objective forcing the KA50's to continually regroup. Head to head missions are problematic at present because we dont have a blue force heli, so when I spot a KA50 over the battlefield, is it hostile?, does the guy onboard know how to use the Data Link ID?, he has no live comms, why is he tracking me? Is he hostile? Is he the enemy? Its all up to the miz makers to make the A10 work, without creating a huge imbalance in the ground war, or turning DCS into an IL2 dogfight :huh:

ROFL :megalol: I guess at the end of the day its up to the miz makers to keep it real and limit the number of availlable A10 flights availlable, otherwise things will go downhill like in Red Orchestra where nearly every foot soldier is carrying panzerfaust and being in a T34 is an unsafe place. Im guessing that seeing 10 vs 10 heli combat like in some of the servers today is about as unlikly at seeing 20 A10's over the battle in the real world. If I start joining servers and see 6 A10's circling a small area over a tank column i'll promptly exit the server and host a more realistic battle.

  23. Yeah nice one Gunslinger. Its a shame this sim was released with a Linux dedi with automated map rotation, which would make it a snack to get it hosted on the gaming networks.
