  1. that is awesome work!.
  2. +1, too forward for me too
  3. When using the Night Vision in VR there is a black mask to simulate the goggles low FOV (scuba mask). Please remove this effect in VR, VR'users already have this implemented at the hardware level and reduce dramatically the FOV of view. I am sure that this effect works pretty nice in pancake (flat monitor) but in VR it is impossible to use it. Please consider adding an option to disable/enable this feature. Thanks.
  4. that will be leap motion and if they didn't implement it on the last 5 years I doubt they are going to do it now. I wish they will but again I very very doubt it.
  5. Only if you are an English native speaker, otherwise ..... me no comprendo
  6. +1, if they fix the performance problem (CPU bound) it will be great for the whole community, and not only for VR users.
  7. if you say so, I am using a Thrustmaster TWCS for 50$ and very happy.
  8. Awesome work
  9. I suggested before to have UP, Down and Select commands for the Communications menu (the same as any console game does).
  10. If some is interested in F-16 Symulate's plans First of all thank you for your interest in the platform plans. Yes they are still available for purchase. For further information please see the links below but essentially the first four modules build a platform with no sides and the 5th module replaces some of the components from the first four sets and allows you to add sides. In each link there is a build manual to download so this should make things easier to understand. (1) CP and HUD Box http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php/topic,10222.0.html (2) LHS/RHS Instrument Panels and Floor http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php/topic,10225.0.html (3) LHS Aux Console http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php/topic,10234.0.html (4) RHS Aux Console http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php/topic,10261.0.html (5) Cockpit Sill and Sides http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php/topic,10274.0.html Modules 1-4 cost £25 each for a full set of .pdf plans or £35 each for .pdf and .dxf files. The fifth module is available once you have purchased the first 4 for a cost of £10. This includes both .pdf and .dxf parts. As such, the full set of plans is £150 for .dxf CAD files or £110 for just .pdf pages. If you wish to purchase please let me know which modules you want and whether you want just pdf or pdf and dxf. You will also need to let me know what email address to send the plans to. Payment is via paypal only to sydodman@hotmail.com. Please use friends/family option to avoid fees or ask and I can send an invoice. Thanks again, Sy Note: Plans cannot be shared so everyone interested will have to purchase separately!
  11. Picture quality is far better than Vive and better than Vive Pro, In the F-18 I always used the zoom to read the DDI, with the pimax 5k I don't use Zoom anymore. At the other hand, performance can kill you.
  12. In pitool enable compatible parallel projection option, de game will be slower but you will have zoom, personally, I never use zoom so I have this option disabled.
  13. thanks Harpoon, I am going to try
  14. In my Opinion, the game is using some type of motion blur, or at least simulate it in VR (try to look the moon while rotation or moving your head, you will see two moons) and not, this is not ASW because my Pimax doesn't have it. I find it annoying especially looking at a fast plane flying in an opposite direction. Do we have any graphics option to disable it? Thanks. ED.Motion Blur usually drags performance because the engine is painting each object 2,4 etc times.
  15. Does any know if it is possible to get Helmet collision feedback with the canopy? Others games detect the collision of your head with the virtual canopy and move the camera position a bit back plus produce a sound so you have the illusion of a real canopy contact. If we don't have this feature, could be an easy and cool thing to have in VR. Thanks,
  16. don't forget about shadows
  17. Because DCS bottleneck is not in the GPU but in the use of one CPU core.
  18. FYI, as a former Vive Pro user, and new user of 5K+ SDE: It doesn't have almost SDE, at 1.5 the image is freaking perfect. Sweep spot: I can move my eyes and have a clear and sharp image instead of been obligated to rotate my head to see anything not directly in from of me. Vive needs the GearVR lenses mod otherwise is quite limited in comparison. FOV: Just freaking awesome. Comfort: With the help of the Vive's DAS and Vive foam donated by my old Vive OG, Pimax 5k is equally comfortable as Vive Pro. Color: I didn't notice any difference with my Vive Pro. Note: Night Missions are impossibles but I think this is a limitation from DCS's render engine, my Vive Pro wasn't far better. Tracking: Same. Performance: If I set the same graphics quality as the vive pro, the performance is similar. Yes, Pitool to 0.75 and low Fov has similar performance and graphics quality as the PRO. We need real work here from ED, the current performance is just not up to expectations. I see a big deal including other planes / scripted missions (~35% performance penalty) this problem not only affects VR players, we need Multithread optimizations, Multi monitors and 4K gamers will be happy too.
  19. your information is wrong, Pimax is rendering high resolution (actually bigger than native to avoid SDE) and downscaling it and upscaling it after because there is not enough bandwidth in the cable.
  20. try enabling the force IPD distance in VR options, something similar happened to me before ED added this option,
  21. I did and it is pathetic ~35fps (max 40) in a 2080ti, too bad they need at least 45 fps to turn on the ASW, but ED needs to hire a couple of good Graphic engineers. ED, why don't optimize your ****ing code?
  22. wow, good job.
  23. I used 3 for the f-18 and work great, Tip: I use a small piece of velcro (the part with the hooks) in the centers' buttons (4 per MFD) for tactile orientation. You could use any Tactile Dots too.
