The problem is not the ED's viper version, it is not ED fault that Lockheed Martin decided to use small screens positioned at a very far distance as MDF, the guys from the OTHER F-16 simulator have the same legibility problems with the MDF (even in 2d pancake) and they opted after a big polemic to add an option for high contrast colors. Should ED implement hight color contract or differents fonts in the Viper? maybe but considering how this community reacts to a not 100% fidelity it is hard to say. As someone asked the other day "why can the viper only have one 120 per station?"

I am running an Index at 1.5 and I don't have any problem with the HUD, the MDF on the other hand, I don't even try to read it without zoom

Hey Wags, given that many players don't want/can use Voice Chat, how about adding a radio option to call "buddy spike" and reproduce a radio "Buddy Spike" call for multiplayer? same for Raygun. I know that we can write buddy in the chat, but personally, I don't like the chat open (too much trash msg).

On touchdown pull the stick (AOA must be on the green) until the nose comes down while airbrakes and wheel brakes.

It is pretty easy to build an arm/friction mount for a cougar throttle grip. I have one working builded with home depot components. The problem is the original Thrustmaster components inside, they are basically trash and there are no replacement.

I have used a TUSBA with ViperGear hall effect mod without problems, now I have even dismounted the whole throttle and DIY my own throttle arm mount and with a new hall effect sensor using tusba and the original PCB board without any problems. There is one cougar throttle board working at 5v and another version at 3.5v, ViperGear mod works on 5v so maybe this is your problem.

Yes, it is very annoying. The thing is that it is not constant, sometimes it updates smoothly and sometimes it is just frozen at the current position for 3 to 5 seconds and then pops it continue working smoothly.

Count with me, the more important aspect for me are force-sensitive slew and mechanical detents and +1 if they develop a sim-pit compatible version. And please please don't add panel/buttons/switchers I am enough old to build my own panels.

I did my own ACE II chair and two laterals consoles for around 100$ in wood and 70$ on a jigsaw and 50 on a cordless drill, on a weekend. I have never used a saw before so I guess anyone can do it. With the rest of the wood and the new tools , I builded a market checkout for my daughter, she love me now + plus the wife is happy.

Yes, he can put his hand over the MDF to avoid reflections. the reflection in the real F16 change with the pilot' angle of view, does the reflection in the sim changes? /s There should be an option in the graphics config where we could choose between A)no reflection, B)static reflection, C)real reflection. This option should be used for the canopy as well.
