Don't get too excited yet. They have said they plan to do a -5 as a separate module but that could be quite some time away. In the nearer term they are planning to update the current module after the Mig-19 is completed.

I've been having some great fun with this module. I was doing some multi crew IFR last night though and my backseater was unable to adjust radio frequencies and his HSI did not show the NAV information mine did in the front seat. I understand this is all work in progress but it made me curious if its two separate nav inputs or if eventually they will be able to adjust each other's radios and HSI's? We also had a great time doing some coin in the 101. I was ecstatic when I managed to drop a mk-82 directly on an IFV! Anyway thank you to Vibora and team for this fun little aircraft, I look forward to seeing her mature.

The viggen has an elint pod that exports data on emitters to the kneeboard after landing. You can then hand off the lat lon to strikers which makes for a fun multiplayer mission. It would be nice if something like that could be worked out even if its just a file we have to dig out of dcs. I also agree LGBs would be nice but since they've never carried them I'm not going to demand them.

Agreed. My point wasn't to say cancel the F-15, but just leave my Mig alone. If the 15 is your dream aircraft great, enjoy it.

Plenty of people want a Mig-23 over an F-15E. The 23 is probably the most advanced Russian aircraft we'll get full fidelity. While the 15E can be added to the growing list of blue gen4 multirole.

This isn't meant as a complaint but I think the hype train should have waited till there was a firmer release date. We're a week shy of three months since the October reveal and start of prepurchases and I've gone from excited to "Meh... It'll get here when it gets here"

Probably not a lot of point in asking until the mig-23 and F-15E are released as it wont be worked on until then. Personally I worry about the project being dropped entirely with how far out it is. Plenty of time for plans to change and more popular aircraft to pop up. Like ED shelving the F-4 for the F-16... Hurray another gen 4 bluefor that almost identical in capability to the F-18... Looking at you too F-15E.

Well thays one reason I'm not interested in 4th generation stuff. I think Dcs should focus on cold war stuff. But anything done in the name of "balancing" the sides I'm boycotting. I know I can'tknow what's accurateand whats not. But ED will do the best it can then fill in the blanks. But if they announce we nerfed this or buffed that for balance than why would we even be here?

Big skill, I love the C-101 and reccomend it. It does seem a little slower than the L-39 but I have beat them in a dog fight. Also it can carry a much larger and more useful load than the L-39. And I love the navigation radios because you can use VOR, ILS, NDB, and Tacan unlike the L-39 that only uses the rare Russian style nav radios. If you have and like the L-39 you won't regret the C-101.

Afghans called us the monsters on the mountain, at least thats what the interpreter listening to their radio traffic said. It wouldn't surprise me if some drama git added in translation though. Like the Germans called US Marines Teufel Hunden in WW1. We took it as a compliment "devil dogs" ferocious dogs from hell.and the moniker stuck but it was meant as a pejorative. Really disagree with you here. I know we can only get approximations but these approximations should be as close as possible. Balancing destroys the nature of this sim. Equal unit are not always fielded against each other. Dissimilar weapons demand different tactics and if one side outclasses the other asymmetric warfare. Most of us are here for realism, not air quake.

Yea haha, I believe the exocet was carried by certain F1 variants. Not sure which though.

Will any of the versions we're getting be exocet capable?
