In all honesty, this needs to be something ED adds. This is a generally simple addition that is already in the game and needs to be implemented to the mission editor. I am all for community add-ons but this upgrade is so simple it shouldn't take much coding at all to get it done in game. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

There is a way to fly with a visual representation of the carol surfaces showing in a red box window. Turn that on and see if it's your controller or some how a double bind to your pitch or rudder controls. More often than not, it's a double bind issue.. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

DSMS - changing weapon profiles. Bug or feature?
A10Yoda replied to d0ppler's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Feature There are two profiles for DSMS. The first one you set is for the weapon profile. Weapon profile is accessed with HUD as SOI and DMS left and right short to cycle through the DSMS weapon load profiles. The other one that you did not set is the weapon manual select. Selecting them manually is separate profile. To know if your bomb have the right profile in the center of the DSMS it will list the selection, release mode, and other weapon specific options saved. No need. Go to STAT page on MFCD and change slew rate Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Looking to HUB some of my controllers for my SIM pit due to limited USB's on my computer. Looking for good recommendations. I have seen some 4 USB hubs but they cap at 900mA and I am not sure what the draw is on each device I have. - Warthog Stick - Warthog Throttle - TM Pendular Rudder Pedals - TM Cougars - Oculus VR USB - Buddy fox UFC Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Let me try to be precise as I can.. On a real FLIR during certain hours you have different OBSTACLES including HEAT retaining surfaces that your brain may or may not process as a possible target. As far as DCS goes, I tend to agree with you that certain surfaces have always given poor Hot/Cold contrasts. The only thing I can tell you is much like real life, your brain will eventually be able to wrap your head around what it is you are seeing on screen and identify targets quickly in a specific area and being familiar with and being proficient on switching between your sensors including the TGP will help you rapidly identify targets way faster than the FLIR issues themselves. My personal dislike is the Thrustmaster Warthog TDC. However, that upgrade should be ready for me soon and I will let you know if it was worth the $75 USD as an upgrade. The cheat would be to rock the boat switch then back to center position for forced correlation. Then fire. The MAV will not track it's target. The other trick would be to switch modes from BIH to WIH and try to get contrast image into the seekers memory. Most Hotels won't pick up outside of 6.5 miles. But can be rifled depending on height, speed, angle of attack, etc at much longer ranges. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Intercom radio menu popping up for no apparent reason

You cannot have voice attack active without Vaicom. Vaicom is the program, voice attack is the mod to vaicom Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk -
Intercom radio menu popping up for no apparent reason
A10Yoda replied to Razor18's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
The only thing I know I have dealt with on this issue is with Vaicom Pro/Voice Attack Some of the updates with Open Beta has not allowed Viacom enough time to get out ahead of the patch and can cause where it auto spans the communications window. This is a hard thing to answer as "intercom" can be any of those switches with the radio selector dial on the volume audio panel on the aft/outboard section of the left console. DCS will also revert to "intercom" when Alternating Current is not being received to the radio antenna for broadcasting Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk -
The autopilot system requires 2 separate functions enabled to operate. -SAS System (Left console 4 switches, Yaw and Pitch) -EGI (Which requires EAC subsystem engaged aft of the throttle guide after full INS alignment and Nav selection CDU) Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

IFFCC TEST position and ANTI-COLLISION problems ...
A10Yoda replied to CTBlankenship's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It should be listed under the throttle binds of the HOTAS. Anti collision requires AC power provided by the APU generator or engine generators. The pinky switch in the aft position just sets exterior lighting as indicated on the lighting panel. As far as the IFFCC, make sure you position yourself to look higher on the HUD to ensure that you are not just out of view of seeing the bit prompt. You can always hit ENT on the UFC in the test position to see if it advances the bit. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk -
Depends what radios where in..but the ones for DCS are: HOTAS Mic Switch Aft (FM) HOTAS Mic Switch Down (UHF) HOTAS Mic Switch Forward (VHF) HOTAS Mic Switch Up (Intercom/Direct) Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Thrustmaster Warthog Slew Controls Inverted?
A10Yoda replied to INFIDEL's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
They are inverted but you can talk to your maintainers and buy them a bottle of Scotch. [emoji6] Just so you are aware, the DCS version of the slew probably should be fixed. It performs very poorly in comparison to the real deal. The Thrustmaster throttle additionally has the Stick that protrudes from the mold of that slew. So imagine that mold without the protruding stick that moves around. Much more comfortable and easy to control, inverted or not. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk -
Then it's not "rudder" trim.. [emoji2957] It's tomato not tomato.. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Yes there is. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

You should be locking the NWS at 60-80 ground knots and using counter rudder to fight crosswinds. That said, because this is DCS, it is possible for double binds and other inputs. I would check those first. Once you have it eliminated down to wind, you can use the trimmer panel (left console) to give counter rudder but it does not help until 60+ ground knots and does not apply to NWS. There is no correct answer.. The correct answer in real life and in DCS is the height you can see what is pertinent to you as the pilot to get the job done. The A10 is not an aircraft that sustains massive amounts of Gs so it is quite easy to move your head about if you cannot see the HUD due to glare, position or otherwise. Use the seat adjust in left corner of front and left console area.. Find what's right for you.. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

I had this issue, very similar problem and all it ended up being for a fix for me is running OBS as an Adminstrator under properties. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Don't act like that's never happened in real life.. Pilots just strike through the right with a pen and write "Left" Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
