In the Nvidia control panel try setting Vsync to OFF for DCS. This worked for me. My rig is very close to what you are running.

Chased this same problem for a few days. This only showed up in VR and online. Amd 5800x3d and 5090 card with a Pimax headset. After many days trying everything I could find on this problem I found my fix. In the Nvidia control panel turn Vsync to OFF that was the only setting that worked. You will still see spikes when players enter and exit the server but other than those it is now a smooth graph

Why the F-35 is a good thing concerning Warbirds

What about the Hellcat they are working on? -
In Windows do you have both the DCS game folder and the User Folder in saved games added to an exception in Windows Defender? This can cause the problem you are describing as it runs a scan when the program calls on files.

Yes

What I have found is that if you are on a server and you exit to desktop the track will not work. You must exit server first then exit the game. Doing this and all my tracks now work. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

Yes from a standing position with one brake locked to turn the plane. It will be worse if you are in grass. It will also happen sometimes with a cross wind landing. It is a real PIA as the plane Never did this before the update to the shocks.

This problem is STILL NOT FIXED. If you use the toe brakes from a dead stop it will most likely happen. You need to keep the wheels turning for a better chance of gear working. This happens more on the left gear then the right. Is the team at ED just sleeping or just don’t care? I know and accept the fact we are the Ugly Stepchild in this game. Taking this long to fix something that YOU broke is sad.

Great to see you are back at this. Patiently waiting to see what all this work looks like with a skin wrapped on it. You are in the home stretch bring it in. -
A P-51D Cockpit that Looks and Feels... Right.
Rebel28 replied to Bowie's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
The P-51 Mustang canopy frame inside where it latches when it closes is exactly 27 ½ inches. If you are looking for a true FOV judge from that measurement. -
This started for me 3 updates ago. What I found by running Windows Resource Monitor. The game was now using up all of my 32gigs of Ram and having to cash out to the M.2 drive. After adding another 32Gigs of ram the stuttering and frame rate drops stopped. The Monitor showed that in some areas the game is now using 42Gigs of Ram. I would suggest you run the Resource Monitor with the game and see if this is happening to you also. They have a real problem with this and it will only get worse.

Since the shocks update when you taxi the 51 and turn using the toe brakes you will sometimes cause one gear not to retract. Not only will it not retract but you will not get a red indication in the cockpit that the gear is stuck down. As this plane was used from some grass fields using the toe brakes should not be causing the gear problem.

Whenever a player either enters the server or exits it will cause a stutter in the game. You will notice this by watching when a stutter happens. Then watch a second later in the text buffer you will see that a player has either entered or exited the server. This will be a longer stutter (or more like a freeze) if multiple people enter or exit at the same time. Internet speed has no effect on what happens it is a problem with the game coding. This problem is experienced by the other players with the full range of speeds and ping times. When we are in a formation with a group we all get hit at the same time.

Did you also add the DCS saved games folder?

Just stated today with this...

Still not fixed with the latest update....

Terrain scenery performance: optimized instancing and improved and optimized streaming. Whoever it was that worked on this please: Give this person or group a BONUS they earned every penny of it. The performance increase was amazing. Also let this person have at the other areas of the sim. To that person or group Well done!!!!

Or ED could just program to automatically have one channel auto placed into the plane at the airfield it is placed on. Oh my a few lines of code on their end problem solved.
-
That would be nice but tell me how to tune a P-51 radio that only has 4 preset channels. If the server online does not program one of your presets you can’t even contact the airfield you takeoff from.

1 Add all colored smoke options like the other planes in DCS have. 2 Add option for a smoke location to run on the center line of the plane like the real Airshow planes have. I know this is an addon mod so it can be done.
-
From what I see you might want to add control of the Oil coolant and Radiator coolant doors to take them out of Auto. In a turn fight the Auto setting will not move fast enough to stop the engine from overheating and locking up. It is better to open the doors just before you start making the turns. Better to run a little colder than to have it overheat.
-
Exhaust flames are back on the 51 lets see how long they stay this time.... Next the smoke might make it back also. But I will take what we can get.

missing info Bullet proof German pilots...
Rebel28 replied to Capn kamikaze's topic in Bugs and Problems
A few years ago the damage model was being touted as the next big thing being worked on starting with the WW2 planes as a test then moving to the Jets. They even put up images of primary hit points that were to be used ie: fuel tanks, structural areas, ect. This project was started but soon it became clear it moved to the back burner in production. The problem is that the burner seems to have been turned OFF. For those of us here for the WW2 planes the cold hard fact is: The bread and butter is in the Jet aircraft not the prop planes. They get the attention we get the crumbs.
