  1. Still not fixed with the latest update....
  2. Terrain scenery performance: optimized instancing and improved and optimized streaming. Whoever it was that worked on this please: Give this person or group a BONUS they earned every penny of it. The performance increase was amazing. Also let this person have at the other areas of the sim. To that person or group Well done!!!!
  3. Or ED could just program to automatically have one channel auto placed into the plane at the airfield it is placed on. Oh my a few lines of code on their end problem solved.
  4. That would be nice but tell me how to tune a P-51 radio that only has 4 preset channels. If the server online does not program one of your presets you can’t even contact the airfield you takeoff from.
  5. Fixed mine by going into the Bios and turning off the Ecores as they run extremely slow anyway. This pushes everything to the Main and Performance cores. It made a huge increase in the game. CPU bound runs in the Yellow but as long as it does not go into any Red you will be fine.
  6. 1 Add all colored smoke options like the other planes in DCS have. 2 Add option for a smoke location to run on the center line of the plane like the real Airshow planes have. I know this is an addon mod so it can be done.
  7. From what I see you might want to add control of the Oil coolant and Radiator coolant doors to take them out of Auto. In a turn fight the Auto setting will not move fast enough to stop the engine from overheating and locking up. It is better to open the doors just before you start making the turns. Better to run a little colder than to have it overheat.
  8. Exhaust flames are back on the 51 lets see how long they stay this time.... Next the smoke might make it back also. But I will take what we can get.
  9. A few years ago the damage model was being touted as the next big thing being worked on starting with the WW2 planes as a test then moving to the Jets. They even put up images of primary hit points that were to be used ie: fuel tanks, structural areas, ect. This project was started but soon it became clear it moved to the back burner in production. The problem is that the burner seems to have been turned OFF. For those of us here for the WW2 planes the cold hard fact is: The bread and butter is in the Jet aircraft not the prop planes. They get the attention we get the crumbs.
  10. For flying around move the toggle switch on the upper left to bombing. That will raise the seat in the cockpit. When entering a fight turn the switch off.
  11. Sorry to say this plane use to have many things that are now missing: If you over primed the engine on start up you would get very large flames coming out the stacks. Along with that was a huge plume of smoke. THIS IS GONE If you pulled back on the throttle to quickly a puff of smoke would come out the stacks from over loading the cylinders with fuel. THIS IS GONE This plane came out in 2013 and the simple fact is that there is NO money in updating older planes. The money is in the Jets.
  12. This is what’s happening on my machine that did not happen before 2.9. When I expand the FR counter in game and in VR watching the processor line something it hitting it about every 10 seconds while in a plane. While in the Main Menu it is being hit hard all the time dropping the framerate from a steady 60 that I use to have to 15. Before 2.9 the sim ran great now is tanked. System is: Gigabyte 690 ddr4 gaming motherboard Intel i5-13600K oc to 5.2 ddr4 at 3600 1TB SSD Nvidia 4080 Hp Reverb G2 running at 60hz. In MT micro stutters all the time. In ST stutters are still there but less often and seem to be when the processor is being it. With the timing it looks like something is polling for information with a long interrupt.

When adjusting and setting up the sim: In the settings menu have a tooltip show when hovering over the settings: This setting will impact the CPU This setting will impact the GPU This setting will affect CPU & GPU usage This setting uses your system memory This setting uses your GPU memory As it is now there is no way without trial and error. This frustrates many trying to setup and play. And is the questions most asked by both new and current players.
  14. So how does this work if you do not own a SmartPhone? Even if I did the area is a dead cell area located between 2 mountains.
  15. And after I posted that they went and took the flames back out..... The warbirds in here are an after thought and don't get any attention but we do get a lot of lip service.... As with the damage model that went the way of the Dodo bird..
  16. Tracks this is what I have found it might help you: Do NOT play tracks in MT use ST for playback, The amount of your Ram = max fast forward speeds 16g = 1 32g = 2 - 3 64g = 3 - 4 do not go above 4
  17. This started 2 updates ago. If you play a track and use F3 and zoom in on the plane it will start to stutter as it approaches then stop and will start stuttering again as the plane moves off. This does not happen if playing the same track in Single thread.
  18. If that is the case it is something that should not happen at all for an online game setting. Being that the traffic on the roads is in the same location on clients.
  19. On the NTTR map the trains are not synchronized between clients. All players see the same train in different locations.
  20. Well another suggestion then. If they are not going to give the pilot an oxygen mask. How about this? If you take the plane above 12k the pilot starts to turn Blue like a Smerf.
  21. “I cannot guarantee that it'll be finished for sure” Now hold on. I have invested about 15 minutes following this project, with great anticipation. (and at my age those minutes are quite valuable) Don’t stop now….
  22. In a real plane you would feel the vibration of the hits on the skin. Here we only have sound to go by and it is not there.
  23. The hit sounds in DCS are really bad you can hardly hear them and sometimes not at all. Bullets or Cannon rounds hitting the skin of the plane should sound more like beating on a garbage can with a large bat. A pilot would know right away he got hit. But the sound here is so low many times you never know you were even hit.
