Alright Zach, It took North American 120 days from design to prototype for the real plane. We are beginning to think you have a real life...

There are times some may not want to stick to what’s real. At one time a server was up using the Nevada map. On this server the owner had placed a carrier near the Hoover dam. Was this realistic, NO. But it sure did lead to a lot of fun with friends to see who had the talent. The carrier was on a slight angle making the approach a real challenge. The takeoffs facing the dam and having to go under the bridge was also strange. This lead to having a fun time as we made many failed attempts. Sometimes you just need to have fun. If not you are just getting old.

The 4ya AO server would force this on sometimes with an update. So even if you have it turned off on local settings it would override your settings... We would have to contact the Server Admin for them to turn it off. This was on the P-51 which I fly.

Thanks for the answer. I get concerned when a strange update comes that is not listed or stated what it’s for.

When I went to download trial aircraft had to take this update. What is it?

Same along with no hit sounds when your own plane is taking fire.

In the DCS sound settings make sure you have it set to using the USB 2.0 option.

+1 on this map needs work....

That's the thinking on updates.... We had to live with the engine popping sound for 3 months.

ED's Thinking IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT!

In the real world pilots do not start flight training in a high performance jet. To compensate for this I would recommend you start by adding curves to your controls, a lot of curve, until you can control the plane. As you progress with the plane you will find you can start backing off these curve settings. You always need to set a higher curve on pitch then roll. It takes time a practice but if you stick with it you will get better.

It is a real downer when real life gets in the way of a passion project. I am so looking forward to the completion of your work. The P-51 has been neglected by ED for many years, and it takes someone like you with the passion to fix what they should have done years ago. It is my hope that your real job slows soon so you may finish the great work you have started.

Have the ability to change the color of the text chat. It is very hard to read the red chat. I know you can edit the lua file but this gets reset after every update. It would be great to have a game option.

In VR when entering the selected aircraft the screen flashes for a few seconds. Also the gamma is very high and washed out then pops back to the selected settings.

This was working then stopped for some reason with a game restart and been broke ever since.

I5-13600k spent hours trying all the suggested ways to get this running without it working. Launch the game and after 10seconds it just stops. This was my fix to the problem Here:

I started Flight Simulation prior to Computers this is where I started.

One of the problems with Wake Turbulence was on the Aerobatic Servers which caused it to be turned off was. The Jet Jocks thought it was fun to fly under the warbirds at Mach while they were landing to suck the air out from under the plane. This caused them to roll and crash. It turned into a regular game for them to play which resulted in it being turned off.

After ED changed the format of the skins the default "Big Beautiful Doll" still looks like someone poured milk all over it. This was never addressed and fixed. If you were lucky enough to have downloaded that skin made by the late Tom Weiss you have one that looks great. Unfortunately when he passed his website went away and all his work was lost.

If you use OpenXR and the Toolkit Turbo mode will still lockup the sim. But you can now go back to using open composite and the Toolkit and Turbo mode works as before and all your old setting are still there.

If you are using openXR toolkit that is whats stopping the game from loading. It is the TURBO mode setting that is causing this. Open the toolkit app and check off start in safe mode and go to last page and do a reset. BUT without TURBO mode running you will find your frames now suck.

If you are using Corsair ique software for water cooling or lighting uninstall it. Your pump is controlled by the motherboard. The only thing this software is doing is monitoring temps and controlling the lights. It has a huge overhead and causes micro stutters in VR. I found this information in other game sites and did not believe it at first. Then I tried by shutting it down and the information was true. I then tried to disable the software from running but it would not stop reloading on startup. The only way to completely stop it from running was to uninstall it. The end result in MP was a much smoother game with very limited frame drops. If you have these symptoms you may want to give it a try. It worked for me. Your results may vary.
