Before my laptop crashed for lack of storage space I was able to start dcs and go right in to vr without running the oculus app. Well so far I took the m.2 from .5tb to 2 tb for dcs, another 2tb will go in when the screws arrive to mount them then another m.2 drive that the os will be moved to and that leaves the 4tb ssd sata for storage as a library drive . The second 2tb m.2 is for x-p11. I’m also maxing the ram from the current 32gb to 64gb. The cpu is i7 or i9 the later I think but I could be wrong the GPU is a gtx 1080 8Gb iirc. Not bad for a 17” 4K laptop. Now to my current problem yesterday I finally got the vr working somewhat. I’m I. The bed trying to do this for several reasons including health. I start dcs put on the hmd and oculus took over everything.thats not what I wanted. My old setup you never saw oculus software it was all dcs. Iirc I never saw the hanger screen but I did see the main screen. I do like the view from the rift s over the rift it was just better is all I can say but I wasn’t in it long. After oculus started taking over I closed it and shortly dcs disappeared or close that was all I had in me yesterday as it made sure that my flight got canceled. I was rushing things just figured keybinding the warthog hotas and the rv setup should take that long. It never has before. Ok now the ask. Please provide me a step by step setup guide for dcs and the oculus rift s. Both are installed so if I need to remove oculus tell me so tell me the best setup for dcs on both system and rv tabs and misc if required. I’ve downloaded the oculus tray tool but it hasn’t been setup so if that is neededadd it in. If I need something else let me know Thanks in advance.

SkateZilla I’m having a problem. I even tried reinstalling dcs utility. Here’s what I’m seeing. Dcs GUI utility shows in the taskbar when ran but when you click on the icon it shows a black windo that will not appear on screen. If I knew where it saved the settings I would try to delete them and have it start from scratch.

I like your head better but I prefer everything else of the other one.

Imo, Ed needs to complete a module before early access a new one ie oldest out then add a new mod to the inw pipe line. Imo also the huey is the oldest I work module the main thing it needs to be completed is the multiplayer multicrew working the little thing will come when the rest get them like iff.

Maybe Ed will purchase srs so both win

Not for me as the collective runs right up next to the seat almost so the throttle is on a couple inches further left for the warthogs the Cougar is a little further left touching the warthogs throttle.

Thanks last time I used it you had to define the srs server info now it’s automatically done upon connecting dcs

Question why an f-4pitdcs doesn’t offer a flying module for it?

It’s been a year or so since I last used srs. I was watching/reading something recently that said that srs automatically configured to the server if the server is setup for that once dcs connects is that for most servers now or is it sparsely available?

Looks nice but Soto the extra point of mounting for the dampners will not work in my pit. I guess I could use a hose clamp around the tubular frame to mount the damper but the rest is to large to fit between the seat and shelf that the throttle rides on but dang it is nice I would love to be able you use it as it has the best control head I’ve seen.

Sounds like you almost have it I can’t believe more hasn’t been done for sound as it’s the second Spence when can trick in the home setup

What no ideas as the best way to setup sound system everyone has visual ideas but no sound ideas

Does it have the starter trigger underneath the head also iirc the huey has a stiffing today that runs parallel under the collective

One problem would be dcs isn’t accurate in its placement of objects that’s why real world flight charts don’t work in dcs.

Help with updater. I currently have dcs stable build setup how do you add a beta build within the Updater or must you install the beta then set it up in the Updater?

Yes what you do is build all the groups in a mission then use the random condition set to 50% to determine if each unit will spawn or not do a search on YouTube or look at the first mission of the a-10 campaign in Caucasus Look under the mission editor tutorial forum at the top of this forum list I think dcs junkie or some junkie did the tutorial.
